Dragoon King!, commonly referred to as Dragon King! and Dragoon! is a fictional manga/anime series created by Niko Tohomiko. This is a continuation  to the series original name, Dark Game!. As the second half of the story, this part of the story was re-written as an action/adventure manga series. The story follows the continuation of the adventures of Ginta Typhoon as he must realize his destiny to defeat darkess from within the world. With the help of his best friend, Laxus Kanari, Ginta makes it his sworn duty to uncover the pieces of his ancient past, unite his team as one, and abolish the darkness from within the souls of individuals.

Long ago, when the world was plagued with darkness, was a great war between the Pharaoh, and Ra. After a titanic battle, the Pharaoh emerges victorious, saving the world from eternal darkness. In Wanska Village, Ginta Typhoon practices martial arts with his mother, Rose. When they're met by Calypso, Ginta does battle against her. She explains that he needs to save this world from darkness and be one with his Spirit Beast. She tells him that he'll learn more about the pieces to his past from this. When Ginta heads off, Calypso wishes the Pharaoh luck.
02 "The Gauntlet is Thrown!" October 19, 2009 November 22, 2011
Ginta enters Golden Gate, where he meets Laxus. Laxus tells him he has been studying for their upcoming exams. Ginta tells Laxus of his journey, asking him to join his crusade. Laxus accepts Ginta's offer, stating that he'll get to continue his journey by doing so. The two travel to Golden Gate, but are stopped by the clerk. The clerk has them retrieve milk before they can enter the city. At Dragon's Den, Ryuzaiga "Voltaire" Szasazu has the Dragon Riders test their abilities against the test dummies, while he prepares Kai for Project: Demolition! Draco and Tragoedia express their jealousy towards Kai, as Voltaire only seems to care about him. Voltaire explains that they will begin by conquering smaller villages and towns, and then work their way up. When the Dragon Riders take off, Kai curses his grandfather under his breath.

Ginta and Laxus retrieve the milk for the clerk. When the duo head through the center of the city, they hear an uproar. When Ginta and Laxus arrive, Ginta tells Lorca to stop terrorizing people. Lorca punches him in the face, knocking him to the ground. Laxus helps Ginta up, challenging Lorca himself. Ginta tells him he'll take care of Lorca. Ginta finds it hard to keep up with Lorca, as he displays superior Wind manipulation than him. Lorca tortures Ginta, melting his skin with an elixir. Afterwards, Ginta enters a dark state, entering the Distortion World. Ginta tortures Lorca, forcing him to reveal his plan. Ginta drops Lorca, who claims the Cold One is watching. Lorca curses Ginta as he drops dead. Ginta and Laxus reach the desert, realizing they'll need help. Meanwhile, the Dragon Riders make their way to Diablo Desert, where they encounter the Desert Bandits...

After the Dragon Riders exit Diablo Desert, they continue Project: Demolition. Ginta and Laxus walk through the hot desert, struggling to find a way out. They eventually come across the Desert Bandits, asking for their help. After Ginta explains the situation, Saharu and Kairi agree to help the duo. As they take off, Saharu tells Ginta he has been training to defeat him. Eventually, they arrive at Abrondis. Ginta wonders why is it so big, and Kairi replies that it is masses of land formed together. Meanwhile, the Dragon Riders continue their path of destruction and conquest!
05 "In search of Ginta: The Hunt begins!" November 9, 2009
When the heroes enter Abrondis, they explore the city on their own. Afterwards, Kairi asks where Ginta is, causing the heroes to look for him. During an inspection, Kai discovers Lorca has been killed. The Dragon Riders decide to search for Lorca's killer. When the Dragon Riders enter Abrondis, they search throughout Okoto for Lorca's killer. They manage to find out that a boy named Ginta was responsible. Voltaire discusses with Mirou over the history of the Dragon Riders. Meanwhile, Ginta admires the aspects of Abrondis. Ginta then walks into an alley, where he comes face-to-face with the Dragon Riders!
06 "The Dragon Riders" November 16, 2009
The Dragon Riders believe Ginta to be someone else, provoking Kai to ask him if he knows who Lorca is. Ginta replies that he beat him at Golden Gate, confirming Kai's suspicions. The Dragon Riders lunge at Ginta, but Kai stops them. Kai tells Ginta about the Dragon Riders. The heroes find Ginta, planning to attack. Kai senses the presence of Ginta's friends, tempted to kill them. Kai tells Ginta that they'll have their fight soon enough. As the Dragon Riders leave, Ginta's friends arrive. Saharu says that he met them in the desert. When the heroes head to an inn, they are being watched by a mysterious group.
07 "Rigel: The Wondrous Kid" November 23, 2009
When Saharu awakens, he discovers his blade had been stolen. He awakens Ginta, and the two go out looking for it. They find a kid named Rigel who has it, challenging Saharu for it. When morning comes, Saharu finds Ringel in a cage. Rigel says that Saharu will have to win his blade back from him in a caged match. When their match is about to begin, several villagers gather around. Saharu dominates the battle, realizing Rigel is a novice. He walks off, but is caught in Rigel's trap. After Rigel mocks Saharu, the latter unleashes a powerful explosion, destroying the cage. After Saharu takes his blade back, Rigel pouts. Laxus explains that nobody always wins. Ginta agrees, promising to spar with him someday. Rigel goes home, vowing to get stronger to beat Ginta and Saharu. A moment later, a group of hunters kidnap Kairi. Shocked, the three boys go chasing after the hunters!!
08 "The Rare Hunters" November 30, 2009
Unable to track down the hunters, the trio head back to the inn. However, a hunter detects them, following the heroes. Back at the inn, the boys wonder why Kairi could have been kidnapped. The maid knocks on their door, asking if they want tea. When a huge gust of wind blows from outside, Laxus steps Saharu saves the maid. Laxus encounters a hunter, asking him where he took Kairi. The hunter says Laxus will have to beat him to get that answer. The hunter reveals himself as Merenge, and the Rare Hunters are a secret organization set out to obtain the peace in the world. He says females generally have stronger Spirit Beasts than males. As Laxus continues his battle with Merenge, Ginta notices his eyes reacting to his anger. Saharu's past horrors flood his mind. Laxus kills Merenge, wondering how will they find Kairi now. The trio encounter Rare Hunters Oori and Gori. Ginta and Laxus tag team against them, but realize just how outclassed they are.
09 "Burst" December 7, 2009
Oori and Gori prepare to defeat the heroes until Ginta and Laxus fight as one. Afterwards, they defeat the Rare Hunters by combining their Elements. As a result, Oori and Gori tell them of the location of the candidates. Voltaire is informed by Mirou of the Rare Hunters. He orders the Dragon Riders to shift their major focus towards Abrondis. The heroes search Abrondis, asking several people for help. When all hope seems lost, Laxus and Saharu wonder if Ginta had more luck. Ginta meets Hiyo, who tells him the location of Abrondis - Sea Level. As Ginta leaves, Hiyo smiles evilly, contacting Gekka. When Ginta finds Laxus and Saharu, they set out to save Kairi. When the heroes arrive at Abrondis - Sea Level, they notice how mysterious it is. Ginta points to the gate to enter. When they reach it, Gekka arrives with Hiyo, preparing to kill the trio. Ginta explains why they need to get inside, but Gekka and Hiyo taunt him. When Hiyo attacks Ginta, he explains he was leading him on. Angered, Ginta breaks Hiyo's arm, causing him to scream in pain. As Hiyo begs for mercy, Gekka kill Hiyo, entering the cave. The heroes go in after Gekka, in hopes of finding Kairi.
10 "A Black Day for Abrondis" December 14, 2009 March 4, 2012
The Dragon Riders and soldiers enter a struggle with the Rare Hunters for control over Abrondis. The Dragon Riders then head off to Abrondis - Sea Level. Saharu notices a thick fog around the heroes, asking if it's natural. When the heroes arrive at the Cave of Wonders, they find several Rare Hunters gathered. The Rare Hunters chase the heroes to the end of the Cave of Wonders. Ginta finds the inscriptions on the wall match the same ones on his Sacred Mark. The Rare Hunters enter, sending in Hugo to fight. Saharu blocks with a wall of fire. He then kicks Hugo to the Rare Hunters. Gekka catches up to the heroes, preparing to kill them.
11 "Lightningrod" December 21, 2009 March 10, 2012
When the heroes escape, the Dragon Riders arrive to the scene. Voltaire contacts Kai, telling him to conquer Abrondis at all costs. Things take a turn for the worse when they encounter Rare Hunter Koga's squad. Laxus engages Koga in a battle, but is on the losing side of the fight. When Laxus summons a cloud, the fight is interrrupted by Kai and Antioch's arrival! Ginta asks how Kai and Antioch found them. Antioch replies that they can lock on their Youki with their Reiki senses. As Gekka arrives, she is shocked to see that the Dragon Riders are present as well. Kagone says they have ravaged Abrondis, Golden Gate, Lionsgate, Jalai, Moriku, Yoriyoko and started on Serisu. Laxus prepares to fight Kai, but Kai considers him an insect.
12 "The Light at the End of the Tunnel" January 4, 2010 March 13,2012
Koga and his squad decide to eliminate Kai, but are all easily defeated. Saharu tells Ginta and Laxus that Kai was the one he encountered in the desert. Kai creates a huge wave, destroying most of the cave and Rare Hunters. When the heroes escape, Kai catches up to them. He prepares to kill them, but is stopped by Rare Hunter Osai, who demands the lives of the four. As Kai displays an evil glare, Amon tells him that his grandfather wouldn't approve. Kai replies that he has no care for his grandfather's wishes. The heroes split up, entering their own section within Abrondis - Sea Level. With all of the commotion, Rare Hunter Osai finds his chance to murder Ginta!!
13 "Wings of Flame" January 11, 2010
Laxus finds the remaining prisoners, setting them all free. He and Kairi recover Ginta, wondering where Saharu is. Saharu leads the Rare Hunters to the exit of the caverns, entering Serisu. They tell Saharu of their goal to revive Ryuga! When the Rare Hunters flee, Saharu witnesses the destruction caused by Draco. When Saharu confronts him, Draco says he'll thrash him with ease. The two engage in combat, with Saharu taking a slight edge. The Dragon Riders all return to Dragon's Den, where they are severely punished for the failure of conquering Abrondis. Meanwhile, Rose arrives in Golden Gate, determined to find her son.
14 "The Return: Masai Steps In!" January 18, 2010
Saharu's success against Draco causes the Dragon Rider to realize he is being bullied in combat the same way when he fought Kai. Draco thrashes Saharu, defeating him with a final assault. Draco refrains from killing Saharu when Ginta, Laxus, and Kairi arrive. They decide to go find some place to heal, leaving the damaged village. Voltaire tortures Kai, Dew and Draco for their failures. Afterwards, he corrupts thousands of citizens, using them as his army. Meanwhile, the heroes make their way into Youken Town. When they enter a market, they are surprised to find Masai working there. When the heroes discuss the recent events with Masai, Ginta asks him to help them on their quest to stop the Dragon Riders. Reluctant, Masai prepares to refuse Ginta's request. Laxus notices that they are being watched by two Rare Hunters. Masai confronts their stalkers, easily dispatching them.
15 "The Almighty Part I" January 25, 2010
Masai prepares to refuse Ginta's request, but overthinks the conversation he had with Calypso. Masai agrees to help Ginta and his friends stop the Dragon Riders. Meanwhile, Voltaire has the Dragon Riders accomplish Project: Demolition, or else he'll have the Seven Swordsmen finish the job. As the Dragon Riders take off, Kai swears to kill Voltaire. Each of the Dragon Riders take their own sections to conquer, determined not to fail. The heroes sense the Dragon Riders attacking Serisu Village. As they make their way there, they encounter Drazen. After Drazen burns Masai and Kairi, Ginta's anger ascends. While Laxus takes the two to a hospital, Saharu tries to save the people. Ginta takes his fight with Drazen throughout Serisu. Meanwhile, Kai realizes the fight for Project: Demolition has started. Dratini gets worried, causing Antioch and Kagone mock her. As a result, Kai yells at them for insulting her.
16 "The Almighty Part II" February 1, 2010
Ginta and Drazen's battle causes their auras to eclipse Serisu. After Drazen trounces Ginta, Saharu steps in to help him. Ginta enters his Initial Dragoon form, equaling Drazen's Youki units. Shocked, Drazen thrashes Ginta. Weakened, Dark Gintā surfaces, tormenting Drazen. Afterwards, Ginta regains control, injuring him with a new technique. Afterwards, he puts his soul into a rock, and then crushes it. Afterwards, Calypso takes everyone to an inn. She says that she has been watching Ginta's progress. Masai asks her if she knows the outcome of this battle against the Dragon Riders. She says she does, but cannot say. Kai finds out about Drazen's death, enraged. As the Dragon Riders are on their way to Serisu, the heroes all decide to get some training done in preparation for their arrival. As Voltaire tortures Dew, Rose enters Abrondis!
17 "A Spirit Type, A Spirit Nature" February 8, 2010
While Ginta and Masai train on Willow Mountain, the others train in an indoor training facility. Ginta and Masai have a brief fight, but Ginta is easily defeated. Masai explains to Ginta the concept of Elements, Reiki, and Youki. Afterwards, he tells Ginta a little about his own past. Shocked, Ginta reveals pieces of his own past. Meanwhile, as the Dragon Riders near closer to Serisu, Laxus, Saharu and Kairi train hard. They begin learning new techniques, even advancing to a new stage. Masai has Ginta train to fight with all of his Spirit Points blocked off and disabled. Ginta struggles to overcome Masai's training, realizing that Masai must have trained extremely hard from a young age. After completing his first of two tests, Ginta then must overcome the growing darkness within his spirit.
18 "Dragon Drive: The Art of Struggles!" February 15, 2010 

Masai tells Ginta about Healing Factors, explaining how they work. Meanwhile, Laxus, Saharu and Kairi notice an explosion ignite in the city. As the Dragon Riders search for Ginta, they run into Laxus, Saharu and Kairi. Antioch asks for Gintas whereabouts, but Saharu claims they don't know. Kagone disagrees with that, hurling a lamp post at them. While Kai heads to Soulilette Pathway, he has the rest of the Dragon Riders begin conquering Irin. Laxus and the others charge, but Antioch knocks them back to the pavement. While the three heroes engage the Dragon Riders in combat, they begin wondering if their training wasn't enough to surpass them. Rose continues her search for Ginta, realizing that he could be in trouble. Ginta continues his intense training with Masai, determined to defeat Kai and the Dragon Riders. Calypso watches everything from afar, excited about the events that are about to transpire.

19 "The Almighty Part III" February 22, 2010
With Yugi and Masai's training still going on, the heroes continue their struggle against the Dragon Riders. Meanwhile, Kai heads to the Mystic Springs, where he reflects on his past. His past causes his inner anger to build up within himself, further increasing the hatred he has for his grandfather. The Dragon Riders continue their conquering, determined to realize Voltaire's vision. The heroes discover how outclassed they are, unable to defeat the Dragon Riders. However, Laxus continues his struggle against Antioch, but discovers the weakness of his element first hand. Voltaire continues corrupting more people, having them destroy several villages and murder other individuals. Before Kairi and Saharu are killed, Ginta and Masai arrive to save them!
20 "Celestial Spirit King" March 1, 2010
Antioch laughs at Laxus, telling him to die as he strikes Laxus into the ground. After struggling further, Laxus manages to find a way to overcome Antioch's power. His Glaring Zapas form manages to help him defeat the Dragon Rider. After Masai helps an exhausted Saharu, he prepares to defeat Kagone. Masai's bold confidence angers Kagone. Masai's evasive fighting causes Kagone to lose his focus, allowing Masai to strike his Sacred Mark. Meanwhile, Ginta easily dodges Dratini's attacks, asking her what is satisfying as a Dragon Rider. Shocked, Dratini looks back on her past as a Dragon Rider...
21 "Voice of Darkness" March 8, 2010
Kai's hatred for his grandfather intensifies as he is reminded more and more of his past. He heads back to Dragon's Den, where he encounters Voltaire. Voltaire tells him the hope of his dreams all rides on Kai. He asks Kai if he cannot live to create a perfect future for himself, is there any worth in a future that means so little. Afterwards, Voltaire tells Kai to begone from his sight, having no use for him at the moment. Meanwhile, Masai hammers Kagone with a special attack, shutting his Sacred Mark down. Ginta withstands all of Dratini's attacks, defeating her with one strike to the gut. When Ginta and Masai give Kairi and Saharu a healing herb, they set out to meet up with one another. Ginta and Kairi make their way to the center of Serisu, where they meet Laxus, Masai and Saharu.
22 "Fixation of Hatred: Ginta's Plan" March 15, 2010
Rose enters Moriku, encountering Slayer, Bauraki and Rukia. Meanwhile, Ginta claims that to defeat the Dragon Riders, they'll have to split up. Kairi asks why would that be ideal, and Ginta says that staying together makes them an easier target. When everyone takes off, Calypso stops Ginta, telling him that he is not at a level where he can fight Kai. Calypso takes Yugi to a secluded place called the Unknown. She states that Masai's training brought his Youki to its maximum at this point, but he isn't skilled enough to keep up with Kai. Ginta accepts Calypso's training, developing his physical strengths, mental resistance, and skill in combat. Meanwhile, Bauraki has Slayer and Rukia continue on while he fights Rose. Rose's battle with Bauraki takes a turn for the worse when he uses his overwhelming strength to overpower her. Laxus, Saharu, and Kairi travel to different parts of Irin. While Saharu enters Jalai, Kairi encounters Rukia in Yoriyoko. When the two engage in battle, Rukia uses her superior element to dominate Kairi.
23 "Armor of the Heart" March 22, 2010
Rukia's elemental advantage begins to take its toll on Kairi. Despite this, Kairi manages to outwit Rukia, forcing her to reveal her Flame Orb! Although Kairi is at the brink of defeat, she manages to drown Rukia by accessing the water from the underground pipes. Rose gets a stroke of luck when she manages to force Bauraki into using his Water Element. She manages to use that to increase her Element, ultimately leading to Bauraki's defeat. While Ginta continues his training with Calypso, she helps him develop a new technique. Mirou informs Voltaire of the deaths of Bauraki and Rukia, angering him. He prepares to have the Seven Swordsmen complete Project: Demolition. However, he is reminded of the Elemental War. Meanwhile, Saharu senses a dark Youki within Jalai, tracking it down to the east of the village. He is horrified to find the entire section of the village burned to a crisp. Slayer emerges from the flames, telling Saharu he'll make sure to defeat him.
24 "Saharu Strikes" March 29, 2010
Saharu takes an early lead in his fight with Slayer, displaying immense skill as a swordsman. As Saharu continues his fight with Slayer, the Dragon Riders continue Project: Demolition. Laxus continues his journey to find Kai, determined to put an end to the Dragon Riders. Rose and Kairi run into each other, shocked that the other defeated a Dragon Rider. They decide to travel together, heading for Kirinsu. Meanwhile, Saharu and Slayer continue their brawl, destroying several sections of Jalai. Slayer tells Saharu of the Dragon Riders cause, asking him if he truly understands their way of thinking. Saharu insults the Dragon Riders, angering Slayer. Slayer strikes Saharu into an exploding building, laughing at Saharu's death.
25 "Fight Fire with Fire: Saharu vs. Slayer" April 12, 2010
Slayer prepares to complete his job, but is frozen in fear when Saharu emerges from the flames. Slayer enters a new form, ensuring Saharu's defeat. As a result, Slayer thrashes Saharu, preparing to defeat him for good. Saharu withstands Slayer's attacks, countering his final assault with his newly developed ability. Afterwards, he incinerates Slayer, winning the fight. Meanwhile, Voltaire discusses the future of the world with Mirou and the Seven Swordsmen. He mentions how the world will be recreated in his image. In Kirinsu, Rose and Kairi discover the city flooded. They venture throughout the city, saving several people in the process. Eventually, they come face-to-face with Gekka, who prepares to drown Rose and Kairi!
26 "Sink or Swim: Kairi vs. Gekka!!" April 19, 2010
Gekka dares Kairi to attack her, looking for some action. Kairi swears on her friends' lives that she'll defeat her. The two fight in the central of the city, where there's more water. Gekka tricks Kairi, trapping her within a vortex. With Kairi slowly dying, Rose prepares to help her. As Ginta continues his training, he senses that his friends are in trouble. Masai makes his way to Kirinsu, sensing Kairi's Youki decreasing. Rose tries to save Kairi, but Gekka uses the surrounding water to create a barricade to stop her. Kairi uses this opportunity to escape, managing to make a comeback. However, the comeback is shortlived when Gekka nearly strips all of the water from Kairi's body. Before Gekka can lay the final blow on Kairi, she is saved by Masai. Masai gives Kairi to Rose, ordering her to take Kairi to a hospital.
27 "Masai vs. Gekka" April 26, 2010
After Rose departs from Kirinsu, Masai has a brief scuffle with Gekka. She then traps him within an illusion, giving him only 10 minutes to escape with his life! Voltaire has all of his soldiers enter all of the conquered villages and enslave the people. As the soldiers file out, Voltaire awaits the completion of Project: Demolition. With only 8 minutes, Masai struggles to figure out where the exit to the Water Tower is. Gekka manages to use her ability to manipulate water further complicate Masai's task. Masai realizes that Gekka is no average opponent, formulating a plan to escape the water tower and defeat Gekka at the same time. Ginta continues his intense training with Calypso, struggling to master a new technique.
28 "Hidden Masks: Water Tower" May 3, 2010
Impressed by Masai's intelligence, Gekka increases the speed of the flood. Masai struggles to find an exit, stop the flood, and defeat Gekka at the same time. Despite this, he manages to hold his own in combat against her. When the water begins to rise above Masai, he devises a plan to defeat Gekka, and win her game. Rose searches for a hospital, hoping Kairi will live. With 4 minutes left, Masai uses his Reiki to burst out of the mist, swimming to the nearest platform. With the flood increasing, Masai observes the water tower, easily detecting the weakness within Gekka's illusion. Masai states that to win, he must summon a Spirit Beast as the key to his victory. However, it can't be his own Spirit Beast!!
29 "The Wave of Terror!" May 10, 2010
Gekka turns all of Geyser Tower into a swirling whirlpool. Masai engages Gekka in combat once again, using his Reiki to maintain a constant flow of balance. With the water almost filled up, Masai pretends to drop dead, allowing Gekka to believe she had won. Meanwhile, Saharu decides to go find Laxus or Kairi, searching Sitoko to find them. He runs into a mysterious person, noticing the isolation in his eyes. Gekka prepares to release the water tower, shocked when Masai's attack cripples her. Subdued, Gekka involuntarily summons her Spirit Beast, destroying the illusion of the tower. Masai explains to Gekka that he needed to take a few hits so that he could eliminate all of her options. After Gekka faints, Masai sends all of the water to the Yebaya Ocean. When he looks up into the sky, Masai wonders if he'll ever get a decent challenge.
30 "Tragoedia" May 17, 2010
Saharu asks the boy what is wrong, shocked when it turns out to be Amon. Amon tells Saharu of his desire to please Voltaire, explaining his past as an orphan. Saharu tells Amon that he makes him sick, attacking him. As a result, Amon loses an arm. After Amon gains his arm back, he warns Saharu of the consequence if he should fail to cut his arm off a second time. Saharu attempts to do so, but is put down with one hit. Meanwhile, the dragon soldiers continue enslaving the people, causing Rose and Kairi to take refuge in an abandoned warehouse. Laxus arrives at Soulilette Pathway, realizing that Kai must be somewhere up ahead. When he continues on, he is attacked by the Dragon Twins. Laxus manages to easily defeat them, eventually arriving at Mystic Springs. Once there, he confronts Kai, challenging him to a fight.
31 "Laxus vs. Kai" May 24, 2010
Laxus calls Kai heartless for murdering and enslaving people for his own amusement. When the fight begins, Laxus uses his speed and Element to his advantage. Despite his superior speed, Laxus finds himself utterly outclassed by Kai. Laxus wonders if he has a chance at defeating Kai, tempted to give up. As Laxus continues a hopeless battle against Kai, Calypso begins training Ginta's mind, as well as unlocking the seal to his bond with Dragoon. Calypso tells Ginta more of his ancient past, telling him of the importance of his success. Shocked, Ginta wonders what chance does he have against Kai. Laxus manages to catch Kai in his attack, but freezes in fear upon realizing that Kai has only been toying with him so far...
32 "Laxus' Final Gamble: Rage of the Gods!" May 31, 2010
Laxus pushes himself to the next stage, overwhelming Kai with his massive speed. Kai struggles to keep up with Laxus, as his speed is 3x faster than his own. The Draco and Amon meet up near Soulilette Pathway, shocked that most of them have been eliminated. Draco decides to go tell Kai the news, while Amon senses a person approaching. Laxus' comeback ends abruptly when Kai enters his first stage, dominating the fight. Laxus realizes that Masai would have had a better chance at winning. With Laxus out of options, he attacks Kai with one final assault. The attack fails, due to Kai's perfect defense. Afterwards, Kai trounces Laxus ferociously. He then activates his Devil's Eye, stealing Laxus' soul!!
33 "Tears of Sorrow: History of Kai" June 7, 2010
Ginta senses a disturbance, realizing something bad had happened. At Mystic Springs, Kai's inner hatred for his past builds up. He then floods several villages. When Draco arrives, he confronts Kai about his relationship with Voltaire. Kai threatens to kill Draco, provoking Draco to lash out at him. Kai thrashes Draco, telling him to go back to Dragon's Den. Meanwhile, Rose manages to find Soulilette Pathway, encountering Amon. Amon questions Rose's motives, warning her to fight for her life. Amon easily overwhelms Rose, expressing his sorrow in his attacks. Rose notices Amon's depression, asking him what could be troubling him. Shocked, Amon tells Rose of his past as an orphan, as well as revealing his only reason for living.
34 "Frozen Fortress: Diabound Armor" June 21, 2010
Amon asks Rose how would she feel if she tried so hard to be of some use to the one she cares about the most, but end up only feeling trapped in the shadow of another. Amon's sadness forces him to transform, preparing to take Rose's life. Rose reveals her special abilities, managing to counter the attack. With Rose struggling for her life, she manages to use Amon's emotions to her advantage, winning the fight. When Amon retreats back to Dragon's Den, Masai arrives. Rose tells him she couldn't find a hospital, handing Kairi over to Masai, who is also carrying Saharu. Rose takes off to find Ginta, telling Masai to make sure that Saharu and Kairi get better. When Rose encounters Kai, Ginta completes his training with Calypso. He takes off, tracking down Kai's Youki. Kai uses his Devil's Eye to torture Rose. A moment later, Ginta arrives, horrified by what he sees...
35 "Showdown at Mystic Springs" June 28, 2010
Kai shows Ginta Laxus's soulless body, and his weakened mother, angering him. Calypso stops Ginta from attacking Kai, telling him to stay focused. Calypso takes care of Rose, and Laxus' body, impressed at how far Ginta's come in such a short time. Kai gives Ginta the chance to backdown, but he refuses. When the fight begins, Kai has a clear advantage, due to the environment, and the storm. Kai seemingly obliterates Ginta with a special attack. As a result, he insults Ginta for the subpar challenge. Ginta manages to make a counterattack, striking Kai to the Tower of Sanctuary. At the peak of the tower, the two trade each other blow for blow. After Kai knocks Ginta off, Ginta unleashes another counter barrage, sending Kai straight down into the water.
36 "Tower of Sanctuary" July 5, 2010
Ginta struggles to detect Kai's Reiki, wondering if he camouflaged with the water. Calypso tells Rose that Ginta is fighting in Kai's domain. Kai emerges from the water as a giant wave, consuming Ginta. Ginta however uses his Wind element to help him escape. Impressed, Kai tells Ginta of the origins of the Tower of Sanctuary, and Mystic Springs. Afterwards, he transforms, telling Ginta that the fight will only get tougher from this point on. When the fight continues, Ginta is getting pummeled by Kai's to no end. As Ginta struggles to fight Kai, a dark force tries to take his body over. After being launched into the water, Ginta emerges in his full transformed state. He and Kai fight evenly, clashing with the power of their elements. As a result, they destroy parts of Mystic Springs, as well as several bordering towns. Ginta then thrashes Kai, causing him to wonder how could Ginta be his superior. When Kai gets up, transforms once again, ensuring Ginta's defeat!
37 "Ultimate Secrets: Kai's Super Move!" July 12, 2010
Kai wrecks Ginta, unleashing the full extent of his water abilities. Afterwards, Kai creates a huge hurricane. Masai and Kairi look outside through a window, realizing that this fight is far crazier than they had thought. Saharu awakens, asking them to take him to their battle.  Kai unleashes his most powerful attack, destroying several villages and murdering millions of people. Unable to escape, Ginta fades into the tsunami. When the waves calm down, Ginta is nowhere to be seen. Kai smiles, knowing Ginta couldn't have escaped the wave. Calypso however tells herself that Ginta avoided the heart of the attack, but he is in critical condition. At Dragon's Den, Voltaire punishes the Dragon Riders and Dew. He tells them that once Kai finishes up his business, he will send out the Seven Swordsmen to finish everything. Meanwhile, Kai jumps back on the cliff, smiling evilly at his victory.
38 "Darkness" July 19, 2010
Kai stops smiling when he sees Ginta  limping towards him. He asks how Ginta survived his attack, shocked when Ginta destroys the cliff. Angered, Kai trounces Ginta relentlessly. Ginta is ready to give in, but remembers the reason he must win. Kai prepares to kill Ginta, but he tanks the hit, shocking Kai. Ginta walks toward Kai, no longer able to suppress his dark force. Kai punches him, but Ginta grabs his fist. Masai realizes the destruction Ginta and Kai are causing, wondering if anybody is safe. Saharu manages to convince Masai and Kairi to take him to the battlefield. Ginta reaches his breakpoint, entering another transformation! He dominates Kai, using his dark powers, as well as several different elements to assault Kai, presumably destroying him!
39 "Eternal Rivals" July 26, 2010

Rose wonders how Ginta got that powerful. Calypso states that Ginta is subconsciously isolating the possession from his heart, allowing him to keep control. When Kai reappears, he strikes Ginta at his Sacred Mark, injuring him. Angered, Ginta unleashes his newest technique on Kai's Sacred Mark, ripping through Kai's Sacred Mark. Kai suffers major damage, cursing Ginta. As a result, he summons his Spirit Beast, taking control of the fight once again. Ginta summons his Spirit Beast, leveling the playing field. Ginta and Kai savagely thrash the other, leaving the whole area in ruins. Afterwards, Ginta and Kai are on the ground, exhausted from their battle. When Ginta's friends arrive, they are shocked by Laxus' soulless body. Ginta forces himself to his feet, claiming victory. Kai's loss traps him in a frozen state of realization, shattering the resolve to his mind. As a result, Laxus' life is restored to him.

40 "The Nightmare: True Revealing Moves!" August 2, 2010
Laxus hugs Ginta, thanking him for saving him and defeating Kai. Laxus tells Ginta Kai's fate is in his hands, asking him what will he do. Ginta has Calypso heal Kai, much to everyone's shock. Calypso does so, explaining that she has been studying the five of them. Kai denies the offer, shaken from his loss, and realization of his weakness. Calypso brings up his grandfather, mentioning how he wants to be free from his control. Kai reluctantly agrees, going to the Tower of Sanctuary to reflect on his life. Calypso tells the Chi Warriors to head to Gatokage in one month. Calypso says that there's one more thing to be taken cared of. A moment later, Calypso and Ginta vanish, shocking the heroes. At Dragon's Den, Voltaire's anger erupts, preparing to unleash the Seven Swordsmen. However, Mirou tells him to worry about the people trespassing within Dragon's Den. Shocked, Voltaire has the Dragon Riders take care of the intruders!!
41 "A New Resolve: Dawn of Hope" August 9, 2010
Ginta and Calypso travel through Dragon's Den, preparing to confront Voltaire. Kai realizes where Ginta headed off to, taking off after him. Ginta and Calypso encounter the Dragon Riders, easily bypassing them. Afterwards, they confront Voltaire, who displays his massive power. When Kai arrives, he is shocked to find Ginta challenging Voltaire. Calypso tells Ginta Voltaire isn't an opponent he can take on, using her powers to trap Voltaire's mind in a trance. Calypso tells Kai the importance Ginta will have in his life, warning him not to get crossed up with Voltaire ever again. A moment later, Calypso vanishes. Ginta then departs from Dragon's Den, returning home. Once there, he begins training for one month, in preparation for his next adventure.
42 "The Downfall of Gatokage!!" August 16, 2010
One month has passed, and the Chi Warriors meet up to make their way to Gatokage. When the Chi Warriors enter Tagati Inn, a group of shady characters observe them from afar. Inside of the inn, Laxus mentions that villagers have spotted shady people lurking about. Saharu asks if they are the Dragon Riders again, causing everyone's to look at Kai. Ginta stands up for Kai, claiming that he has reformed. Kairi asks if it could be the guys they met at Abrondis - Sea Level. Saharu freezes in fear, thinking of the possibility that the Rare Hunters could surface once again. Masai decides to go investigate, asking Kairi to aid him. Saharu offers Ginta to explore the village with him. As they leave, Laxus disbelieves the thought of Kai suddenly turning good after a month. Meanwhile, Ginta and Saharu exploring the village. When evening comes, they stop when an explosion ignites a few blocks away from them. As a result, the two go investigate on their own.
43 "Final Destination" August 23, 2010
When Ginta and Saharu get to the explosion site, they spot nothing but debris. Saharu walks towards Ginta, getting kicked into a hut. Ginta tries to find him, but runs into Rare Hunter Konan. When they clash, Saharu engages Rare Hunter Kozaki in battle. The two insult one another as they fight. Kozaki easily dominates Saharu, asking what it feels like to be a traitor. When Kozaki approaches, Saharu has second thoughts about exploring. Ginta struggles to land a hit on Konan, realizing that her manipulation of her Element is far superior to his own. Konan is contacted by Rido, forcing her to retreat. Before Kozaki finishes Saharu, he takes off as well. Back at the inn, Ginta and Saharu explain everything. Saharu is reminded of his past conflicts with the Rare Hunters, reminding him of his past horrors...
44 "Heavy Storm: Cremol's Frightful Attack" August 30, 2010
The Chi Warriors begin their search for the Rare Hunters. Rare Hunters Konan and Kozaki return to their hideout, giving Gurimo the news. Pleased, he sends Gaita's Squad to gather candidates for the extraction, and Rido's squad to begin R.R. Domination. Ichikisa and Osai prepare the ritual ceremony for the resurrection of King Ryuga. Meanwhile, Kai travels to Dragon's Den, where he is confronted by the Dragon Riders. The Dragon Riders try to convince him to join them again. Conflicted, Kai is reminded of his horrible past, as well as what Voltaire had done to his parents. Ginta, Kairi, and Saharu come up short, wondering if Masai and Laxus had any better luck. Laxus encounters Cremol, coming to terms with his limitations as a fighter. Cremol manages to nullify Laxus' speed advantage, allowing him to defeat him with utter ease. Meanwhile, Masai saves several people from another Rare Hunter named, Sissila.
45 "Secret Power: The Water Tycoon" September 6, 2010
Kai finds himself at odds with the Dragon Riders, struggling with what he truly wants in life. Antioch discovers they are being watched, confronting Rare Hunter Shogun. He mercilessly kills him, warning the Dragon Riders of the Rare Hunters return. Meanwhile, Masai and Sissila initiate their fight, impressed by the other's level of skill. Masai's overconfidence provokes Sissila to level the entire city of Girou underwater. Shocked, Masai takes a slight edge in the fight, forcing Sissila into the water. Ginta and Kairi encounter several Rare Hunters, who are destroying the village, and kidnapping people. Afterwards, they head back to the inn. Saharu doesn't find anybody, wondering what the Rare Hunters are up to. While Rido's group gathers 500 candidates, Gaita, Cremol, and Ragnarok collect 200 vessels each.
46 "Masai's Greatest Downfall!" September 13, 2010
When Ginta searches for Laxus, he finds Gaita talking to Cremol. Masai dodges Sissila's water attack, taking control of the fight. The fight then is brought into the water, where Masai notices the decrease in his performance. Sissila reveals that her water was specifically created at birth to sap the Reiki of a foe. With Masai's power gone, Sissila leaves him to drown, meeting up with the other Rare Hunters. Masai realizes he underestimated her, and could have won if he analyzed the situation, as he fades. Saharu clears a section of the city, noticing a flood coming his way. He spots other Rare Hunters causing destruction upon the village. Saharu he heads straight for them. Saharu meets up with Ginta, asking where Masai and Laxus are. He states he doesn't know of their whereabouts. They stop the Rare Hunters from destroying what's left of the village. Gaita realized they missed two troublemakers. Ginta prepares to fight Gaita, while Sissila, Cremol, and Ragnarok confront Saharu.
47 "128 Points of Divinity" September 20, 2010
Ginta and Gaita's battle displays the two as equals. Gaita is surprised by Ginta's skill level, getting knocked into the walls of the Cornerstone market. Sissila says Ginta is more impressive than the weakling, Masai. Ginta freezes up, and Saharu believes that if she beat Masai, then one of them beat Laxus. Cremol says that he defeated Laxus. Furious, Ginta backslaps Gaita. Gaita counters Ginta's next attack, closing up all of his Chi Points. Saharu goes to Ginta's side, wondering if he's alive. The Rare Hunters take note of this, asking Saharu if he felt this way when he abandoned his teammates in the past. Ginta punches Saharu out of his trance, stating that he can't let the Rare Hunters control him. Saharu however tells him that he doesn't understand. Ginta continues his fight with Gaita, shocking everyone that he can still fight. Afterwards, Ginta and Saharu escape the Rare Hunter. Ragnarok chases them, wanting revenge. Ginta and Saharu head near a river, where they find Masai sitting down. A moment later, Ragnarok arrives, claiming that Saharu is traitor as a former member of the Rare Hunters!!
48 "Days of the Past" September 27, 2010
Trapped in disbelief and horror, Saharu admits to having been a Rare Hunter. He claims that was when he was fueled by selfish desires. He tells them that he had been in for the greed and killed many innocent people with his squad. However, he says on the night of the planned death of  Kyoya Hashirami, as well as his younger sister, he had backed out and left. He says from then on, he became a desert bandit. Ragnarok tells Saharu that once entering the Rare Hunters, there's no turning back. Ginta snaps at him, saying that Saharu has reformed himself for the better. Ragnarok angrily tells Ginta that Saharu can't escape the Rare Hunters. He claims Saharu was ruthless, killing people in cold blood. He says that Saharu abandoned his team when it got tough, becoming weak. Ragnarok's rage ascends when Saharu refuses to return. Ragnarok generates electricity, with the full intent on killing Saharu!!

Ragnarok uses his Lightning attacks to hurt Saharu. Saharu then launches a counterattack, but has no effect. Ragnarok tells Saharu of the advantages he would have had as a Rare Hunter. When he approaches Saharu, Ginta saves him from a fatal hit. When Ginta faints, Saharu goes ballistic. His Sacred Mark blazes as he kicks Ragnarok in the jaw, unleashing a flaming uppercut to him. Saharu goes for another hit, but Ragnarok counters with a giant wave. With Saharu down for the count, Ragnarok breaks his spine. He leaves Saharu for dead, claiming death is the only punishment he deserves. As the three are unable to move, they are saved by the arrival of Kairi. She creates metallic tablets and places them on them, heading back to the inn. At the inn, Kairi nurses each one, but finds it impossible to heal Saharu. Masai arises, setting out with Kairi to find an elixir to help their friends. Things go bad when they run into both Gaita's and Rido's group.

Calypso tells Kai that he must make a decision, as his friends are in need of help. Kai does not care, but leaves to clear his mind. The Dragon Riders prepare to attack Calypso, who tells them that they're in greater peril if Ryuga is to be resurrected. Kai and Dew land in Gatokage, finding Laxus nearly dead. Masai and Kairi sense Kai's presence, causing the Rare Hunters to sense him as well. Sissil asks Masai is he wants to lose again. Masai notices that the Rare Hunters except Ragnarok have equal Youki units. Kai and Dew arrive, causing Kairi and Masai sigh of relief. Kai states that he despises them, but hates the Rare Hunters even more. He then claims he'll kill Ginta next. Masai tells Kairi that Kai saved all of their lives. Kai dances around Gaita's best attacks, even dodging his ultimate move. Kai unveils a new technique, engulfing Gaita, and killing him in the process. When the heroes go to the inn where Ginta and Saharu are, Kai is unable to bring himself to harm Ginta. When Ginta awakens, Kai gives them advice that Calypso told him. After Ginta and Saharu get some of the elixir, the Chi Warriors head for Sakusan Village.
51 "Female Fury: Enter the Femme Fatals" October 26, 2009 November 22, 2011
When the Chi Warriors arrive in Sakusan Village, they find a girl being pestered by a group of guys. After Ginta stops them, the girl reveals herself to be Mistral. Masai reveals that they are the Spirit Chi Warriors. Mistral states that they are known for stopping the Dragon Riders. She asks if they plan to join the tournament. Ginta asks about the tournament, and she says winner gets crowned best in the nation. Mistral challenges Ginta to a battle. Ginta struggles against the properties of Mistral's water. However, he manages to use the natural wind to increase his speed, overcoming her defense. Mistral compliments Ginta, telling him he reminds her of a person she met several years ago. When she takes the Chi Warriors to her home, Ginta wonders why she was greatly holding back. When Mistral returns with four other girls, she introduces the Femme Fatals. She tells Zola that she had a good fight with one of them. When Ginta speaks up, Zola challenges him to a battle!
52 "The World's Strongest Team" November 2, 2009 November 22, 2011
After Ginta accepts Zola's challenge, he calls her cute, shocking everyone. Zola asks Ginta if he wants the beating of his life. Ginta says his mother told him it's a nice way to compliment a girl. They go to the Fatals Training Field, where Zola easily dominates Ginta in battle. The Fatals are surprised by Ginta's resilience to pain. Vulkna mocks Zola about losing, but Zola covers Ginta's legs in rocks. She then shatters Ginta's bones, shocking the Chi Warriors. Meanwhile, Rido's squad continue collecting candidates, with each of them killing many of them due to their resistance. Laxus asks Masai if Ginta stands a chance. Masai states in his mind no, while Kai walks out, saying Ginta is finished. Zola savagely beats down on Ginta. After he tries to fight her, she stomps on his spine. Zola states she loathes weaklings. She orders them to get out of their sight, as they are a disgrace to martial artist everywhere. As the Chi Warriors leave, Zola is shocked that Ginta left a mark on her. Kai fists a hole in the wall, angered that they were humiliated so easily.
53 "Journey of a Thousand Miles" November 9, 2009
With Ginta healing up, Laxus wonders how the Femme Fatals could be so strong. Masai explains that they have better training facilities. Saharu expresses their inferiority by not only the Rare Hunters, but the Femme Fatals too. Laxus goes out and Masai follows him. Kai meditates, knowing very well where they are heading. At the Fatals HQ, Zola boasts over her victory. Mistral states that he is more powerful than what he displayed on her. When Krystal opens the door, she asks why Laxus and Masai are back. Laxus states that he has come to avenge Ginta's loss. Vulkna tells him that they are insects to them. Laxus attacks Vulkna, but she dodges all of his attacks. Vulkna then dominates Laxus, calling him a joke of a fighter. Masai asks Absol why is staying away from her team. She replies that she prefers to be alone. Vulkna mocks Laxus, telling him to give up on trying to beat them. When Masai and Laxus return, Ginta resolves to enter the Regional Tournament!
54 "Let the Games Begin!" November 16, 2009
Ginta and Laxus register for the tournament. When they do so, they meet the Femme Fatals. A few hours later, the Chi Warriors train for tomorrow. On the next day, Ginta asks Kai if he can feel the competition. Kai tells Ginta he's looking forward to killing him. Ginta is confronted by an old enemy. After the other teams win their matches, the Chi Warriors fight the Zesmers. Laxus defeats Ramses before he even realized the match started. Saharu then fights Rildo von Schroeder, who mocks him endlessly.
55 "Preliminary Peril" November 23, 2009
Rildo toys with Saharu, making a fool out of him. Saharu's anger causes him to lose focus. Zantu insults Saharu for being incapable of focusing. The proctors have Ginta and Janouchi fight as a charity match. Ginta easily dominates the fight. Janouchi's performance causes his father to leave. Zola calls him a disgrace to Earth Elementals. Janouchi's fear awakens a dark spirit within him. Kairi says that Ginta will win the fight, and Saharu agrees. Despite this, Kai finds something strange about Janouchi...
56 "Ginta's Dragon Blade Tornado" November 30, 2009
Zola hopes that Janouchi trounces Ginta. Janouchi clobbers Ginta in close combat. Ginta unleashes his secret move, but Janouchi counters with his own move. Ginta realizes how similar he is to Janouchi. With Janouchi's anger and frustration growing, tendrils emerge from his body. Ginta activates his Sacred Mark, punching Janouchi in the stomach. Janouchi regains control when Zola distracts Ginta. Kai steps into the arena, threatening to kill Janouchi. Kai tells the entire stadium that he is the only one who has the right to kill Ginta. Ginta finds an opening, summoning his Spirit Beast. With everyone shocked, Ginta and Dragoon unleash a new technique, defeating Janouchi. Zola, Ryuusei, a few Rare Hunters, and a mysterious man are impressed with Ginta's performance.
57 "Easy Victory" December 7, 2009
After the Fatals demolish Daikai, Zantu defeats Cloud. Atticus and Baki meet with the Tournament committee. Atticus murders Hitzayo Gojuro, convincing the committee to hear his argument. Saharu is selected to fight Metallica. Saharu briefly fights Ian before being tricked out of bounds. Ashamed, Saharu apologizes to his team. Kai insults Saharu, stating that he lost a fight he should have won. After Laxus defends Saharu, Kai's bloodlusted side threatens him. Ginta and Laxus fight the Destiny Bros., struggling against their moves. Ginta and Laxus combine their Elements, defeating the two. Masai then easily defeats Moriku. The proctor announces the tournament will continue in a few days. Meanwhile, the Rare Hunters continue R.R. Domination. However, when Rido's gang encounters Gaita's squad, they get into a dispute. Goroh exchanges blows with Cremol. Afterwards, Ragnarok kills him. Rido and Ragnarok prepare to fight, but Kozaki and Konan order them to complete their mission.

Laxus expresses how impressed he was with Ginta's performance. Masai agrees with Laxus, saying that he knew Ginta's training with Calypso was impressive, but he didn't expect it to show off results like this. Ginta thanks Kai for buying him time to escape. Kai tells Ginta to get lost. The Fatals meet up with the Chi Warriors, telling them they won their fights due to luck. A person shouts that the princess from the Atlantis has come to visit Sakusan Village. Ginta talks to her, causing her to hurl a plethora of insults at him. Laxus stands up for Ginta, telling her she can't insult somebody based on their wealth. Annoyed, Midori asks Laxus if he wants to be imprisoned for eternity. Laxus tells her she can die in a hole shocking the townspeople. Midori's butler, Ronan, says they should escort themselves out of the village. After Midori insults Ginta some more, Ginta challenges her to a fight. Ronan decides to fight Ginta, using his ability to paralyze him. When Dark Gintā surfaces, he traumatized Ronan. Afterwards, the Chi Warriors head for their inn, as Midori wonders more about Ginta.

Back at the inn, everyone cheers for Ginta. He explains he had learned the technique during his training with Calypso, but he wasn't ready to use it until that match. Saharu tells him that with that move, they can't lose, causing Kai to insult them. He says one little trick won't help them beat the Femme Fatals. Saharu tells Kai to calm down, but is asked if he is so sure about that, leaving Saharu speechless. Masai agrees with Kai, claiming that Ginta's move won't hurt Mistral. Dew suggests they ask the Femme Fatals to a sparring match. The Chi Warriors agree with Dew's idea, preparing to challenge the Fatals, as Kai goes to bed.

Zola insults the Chi Warriors for their challenge, but agrees to the terms on a majority vote. The Fatals send Mistral in first, while the Chi Warriors discuss their lineup. Laxus wants to go, but Saharu requests to fight instead. Saharu attacks Mistral, but is unable to get near her, due to her defense. He discovers that she is an advanced water-nature type. Mistral states she doesn't need contact to use water. Zola claims that she is superior to Kai, causing him to glare at Zola and Mistral. Mistral shoots Saharu to the wall, subduing him. Ginta realizes the Fatals are tougher than he thought. Mistral smiles, thanking Saharu for the warm-up. When Mistral steps down, Krystal decides to fight. Masai feels Krystal's aura, stepping up to fight her.
61 "Shards of Ice: Ice Dart Attack!" January 11, 2010
Krystal compliments Masai for his intuition, but reveals that he has fallen into her trap. Masai finds his feet frozen to the ice, causing him to remember his past. Krystal punches Masai to the ground. Masai realizes how outclassed he is, unleashing Spirit Wave. Although the technique destroys most of the arena, it is countered by Krystal's attack. The darts pierce through Masai's flesh, immobilizing him. The Femme Fatals state they have won the best 2 out of 3, but tell Absol to win the third one for laughs. As she thgoes up, the Chi Warriors realize that they are severely outclassed. Insulted by his team's performance, Kai decides to fight. Ginta wishes him luck, but Kai tells him to worry about himself. Kai and Absol give each other a cold stare...
62 "Psychic Showdown: Kai vs. Absol" January 18, 2010
Kai engages Absol in combat, but discovers how formidable her Spiritual powers are. With Kai panting heavily and Absol calm, he uses giant wave against her. After Absol tanks the hit, the fight ends as a draw. The Fatals are surprised that any of the Chi Warriors could tie with them. Kai insults Zola, calling her a weak excuse for a leader, and an even worse fighter. Saharu tries to leave, as Kai's draw had saved them some dignity. Kai calls her trash, who's nothing but all talk. Angered, Zola demands to fight Kai. While Zola prepares to fight, Absol wonders more about Kai. Meanwhile, R.R. Domination takes it effect, with over 2 million people under the influence of the Rare Hunters.
63 "Rivalry Between The Best!!" January 25, 2010
Kai struggles against Zola, removing his weights to gain an advantage. Zola easily regains control of the fight, insulting Kai's skills. Before the Fatals leave, Zola tells Kai that his performance was as bad as losing. At the inn, Dew is worried for Kai, as his murderous side surfaces on account of Zola insulting his martial arts skills. On the next day, the Chi Warriors prepare to fight Zantu. When Ryuusei leads his team to the training room, he tells the Chi Warriors they're next on his hitlist. After a few hours, the semi-finals begin. Masai offers to fight first, while Zantu sends Jishin up. Midori greets the Chi Warriors, earning her glares. When the match begins, Masai immediately strikes Jishin's Chi Points!
64 "Power Crush!" February 1, 2010
Jishin drops Masai's physical stats with his technique. Kai explains that Jishin's technique has left Masai physically useless. As Jishin thrashes Masai, Masai realizes his mistake of underestimating his foe. He then looks back on his past. When Masai snaps out of his trance, he analyzes his situation. Before Jishin breaks his neck, Masai releases a dome of his spiritual energy, shutting down all of Jishin's Chi Points. Masai uses the last of his chi to keep himself conscious, earning the win. Midori wonders if she's misjudged the Chi Warriors. Saharu decides to go up next, promising to win. Saharu exchanges several blows with Nova. Their attacks causes the two to land out of bounds. Laxus offers to fight next, jumping at the chance to wipe Ryuusei's smug look off his face.
65 "Clash in the Arena: Barrier of Spirits" February 8, 2010
Ryuusei asks Laxus if he wants to make a fool of himself. Laxus accuses Ryuusei of being scared to fight. When the fight begins, Laxus circles the entire arena, suffocating Ryuusei. Ryuusei then traps the two in a barrier of aura. Laxus activates his Sacred Mark, blitzing Ryuusei. Ryuusei sends Laxus spiraling to the ground with a barrage. Ryuusei assaults Laxus, forcing him on the defensive. Masai states that Laxus will soon have to use his Reiki to dodge. Saharu realizes that Laxus will be left vulnerable. In Torrak City, Gurimo and Ichikisa continue the ritual for the resurrection. Ragnarok's group and Rido's group ask for their next assignment. Gurimo orders them to begin conquering, while Kozaki and Konan start the transformations. Kitsune warns Gurimo of the possible dangers that come their way...
66 "Zantu's Game!" February 15, 2010 
Laxus transforms, impaling Ryuusei's leg with his attack. When Ryuusei drops to the ground, Laxus uppercuts him. Laxus uses his new move, paralyzing Ryuusei's Chi Points, at the cost of leaving his own body vulnerable. Ryuusei summons his Spirit Beast, granting him mobility. Godra ensnares Laxus in his aura. Godra attacks Laxus, but Ginta saves him. Ginta tells Saharu to watch over Laxus. In the next match, Ginta's intense glare intimidates Sitrus so much, he forfeits. Midori realizes how respected the Chi Warriors have become. Ginta prepares to fight Ryuusei again. When the fight begins, Ryuusei traps Ginta, seemingly incinerating him with his Reiki!
67 "Ginta vs. Ryuusei: A Champion Battle" February 22, 2010
When Ryuusei descends, a gust of wind thrusts him to the ground. When Ryuusei gains the edge, he stomps on Ginta's head. He prepares to impales Ginta's chest, causing Ginta to blast him away. Ryuusei summons Godra, assaulting Ginta. After entering his Dragoon State, Ginta tanks the hits. Ryuusei and Godra use a combo, devastating Ginta. A moment later, Dragoon emerges from the smoke. Ginta and Dragoon counter Ryuusei and Godra, using their technique to win. The proctor announces the final match will take place in four days. Ryuusei apologizes to Ginta, planning to repent for his crimes. The Fatals say they intend to humiliate the Chi Warriors. When they leave, Masai says they must prepare for the worst.
68 "Showdown in Sakusan Village" March 1, 2010
At the Regional Tournament's inn, the two remaining teams go over their strategy for the finals. Ginta meets Midori, having a brief talk with her. Meanwhile, Gurimo and Ichikisa continue the ritual, while several villages and cities have been enslaved in preparation for Ryuga's revival. Ragnarok's team is sent out to Sakusan Village. As Saharu looks out the window, Masai comforts him. Masai talks to Saharu about his own past, and how Saharu must conquer his inner demons. A moment later, they see the tournament proctor murdered. Saharu tells Masai to awaken the others. When Saharu confronts the kidnappers, they reveal themselves to be the Rare Hunters! Saharu tells Ragnarok he has no business here. Ragnarok tells Saharu he's come to clean up the thrash, surprised that he lived from their previous encounter. When the two clash in the rain, the Rare Hunters take note of Saharu's increased skills. Saharu manages to score some hits on Ragnarok, but is ultimately thrashed. Afterwards, the Rare Hunters kidnap the Fatals, forcing the Chi Warriors to give chase.
69 "The Almighty Part IV" March 8, 2010
Kai refuses to accompany the Chi Warriors in their rescue mission, as it isn't his business. As he goes off to train, the Chi Warriors and Dew arrive in Torrak City. They discover it's a city filled with underground caves, mind-slaves, and Rare Hunters. They are horrified to find people transforming into Demons right in fron of their eyes, causing Saharu to reveal his own heritage. Meanwhile, Gurimo and Ichikisa gain enough vessels for the final part of the ritual. As the ceremony initiates, Masai, Kairi, and Dew find themselves in a troubling situation when they encounter Rare Hunter Konami!!
70 "Divine Shockwaves: Konami's Assault!" March 15, 2010
Masai's group encounters Konami. He attacks them, injuring Masai, who shielded Dew. Dew is shocked that the Chi Warriors would protect her. Laxus arrives, exchanging a few blows with Konami. He then impales Konami's chest. Konami reveals the true plan of the Rare Hunters. Konami thanks Laxus for a good fight, dropping dead. Meanwhile, Ginta continues searching for the Fatals, fending off several Rare Hunters, while Saharu fights his way through Rare Hunters. He is horrified to witness Rido's squad converting people into Demons. He attacks Yokuru, who traps Saharu with her Water Element. Before she lays the final blow, Saharu vanishes behind her, slicing Yokuru in half. Afterwards, Saharu goes after Ragnarok himself, as Rido sends his squad to kill Saharu. Ryuga is revived, causing the sky to turn red, and a void of despair to release upon the earth. In addition, his presence instantly kills and transforms thousands of people into Demons.
71 "The True Ruler, Demon King Ryuga" March 22, 2010
Gurimo and Ishikisa bow in Ryuga's presence. He says he shall turn the world into a Demon's world of despair. Zola shows up, asking Ryuga what does he have in mind. Ryuga says he'll answer if she defeats him. Ryuga dodges Zola's attack, thrashing her relentlessly. When Ginta arrives, Osai introduces him to Ryuga. Ginta attacks him in a blind rage, but Ryuga flicks him to a wall. Ginta creates afterimages, but Ryuga clobbers him. Ryuga displays some of his power, reminded of his wife who had disappeared, and his son, who he had "abandoned." Ryuga tells Osai to place the two in the cells with all of the others. He mentions that he must know where the stone holding his Spirit Beast is. Meanwhile, Saharu is hot on Ragnarok's trail, determined to put an end to him. Kozaki and Konan collect more candidates, telling Rido to go to Gurimo to receive further instructions. Laxus' group decide to part ways, stumbling upon their own paths. Laxus has a brief fight with Rare Hunter Gruis, who overwhelms him with his Earth attack. Laxus then blitzes Gruis, kicking his head off.
72 "Burning Star: Enter the Flame Saber!" March 29, 2010
Rare Hunter Osai places Ginta and Zola in the cell with the other prisoners. Mistral heals both, asking Ginta where are his friends. Saharu comes across Ragnarok's group, determined to fight them. Ragnarok insults Saharu, leaving Cremol to fight him. Saharu uses his sword to overwhelm Cremol. Cremol then suffocates Saharu with his Wind abilities. Despite this, Saharu's resolve allows him to withstand the attack, incinerating Cremol with his newest technique. Ginta helps all of the prisoners escape. Afterwards, they meet Laxus and Saharu, heading to the basement. Masai encounters Rare Hunter Jagashi, who reveals his Demon-like tendencies. He manages to place his mark on Masai, disabling his use of Reiki. Jagashi overwhelms Masai, preparing to kill him. Masai's plan however succeeds, restoring his use of Reiki. He then strikes Jagashi on his tongue, killing him. Ginta's group enters the secret basement, where they confront Kozaki and Konan. Meanwhile, Ryuga has Gurimo and Ichikisa retrieve his Spirit Beast.
73 "A Terror of Two: The Troubling Duo" April 12, 2010
Ginta fights Konan, but her abilities prove too much for him. Before she can erase him, Laxus saves Ginta, deciding to help him fight Konan. The two display their teamwork, even transforming to increase their performance. Saharu enters battle with Kozaki, who explains more of the Rare Hunters. Saharu's fear haunts him, reluctant to fight Kozaki. Masai arrives, saving Saharu from a fatal hit. The two then battle Kozaki together, but are still on the losing end of the fight. Meanwhile, the Dragon Riders search several cities within Sakusan Village, searching for Kai. Ginta and Laxus combine their Elements, but Konan manages to counter it. With all hope lost, Zola gives Ginta some advice. Afterwards, she decides that the Fatals will escort the prisoners out of Torrak City.
74 "My Enemy Is My Friend" April 19, 2010
Saharu and Masai barely keep themselves in the fight, realizing how powerful Kozaki really is. Kozaki thrashes the two, preparing to kill Saharu once and for all. However, Saharu takes Kozaki's hit, allowing Masai to strike his Sacred Mark, defeating him. The Femme Fatals notice the Chi Warriors have been growing rapidly. As the Fatals lead the prisoners out, Ginta and Laxus continue to struggle against Konan. Eventually, they manage to reverse her attack, causing the cave to collapse on her. Ginta helps Konan, telling her to leave the Rare Hunters, but she refuses. This notion shocks Saharu, who explains When Kozaki arises, he and Konan make their leave. The Fatals go searching for a pathway, running into an army of Rare Hunters, and Kitsuichi. Zola decides to fight Kitsuichi, as her teammates escort the prisoners out of the cave. With everyone preparing to escape, Gurimo and Ichikisa retrieve Ryuga's Spirit Beast. Rido decides to take matters into his own hands, hunting down Saharu himself. Ragnarok and Sissila are instructed to protect Ryuga. Zola and Kitsuichi trade punches, but Zola is hit by her attack. When everyone is escaping, Saharu is pulled back into the cave by Rido!!
75 "Fearful Turmoil: Rido's Final Stand!!" April 26, 2010
Ryuga looks back on the entire conflict, flustered by his actions. He wonders how the outcome effected his son, especially with his wife's death. Ryuga says that he'll resurrect his late wife, wanting to "correct" his mistakes. As the Underground Caverns collapse, Gurimo and Ichikisa inform Ryuga that the Dragon Riders have arrived. Ryuga telepathically contacts Ragnarok, having him and Sissila escape as well. The Dragon Riders search for Kai, determined to bring him back. Zola ends her fight with Kitsuichi by crushing her face. Saharu and Rido discuss about the Rare Hunters, fighting each other while the caverns are collapsing. Ginta realizes that Saharu is still within the caverns, heading back inside to get him. Saharu's Fire clashes with Rido's Earth. Rido overpowers Saharu, who cuts his arms off. Afterwards, Rido praises Saharu's strength, accepting his defeat. Saharu then impales Rido through his heart, as a sign of respect. As the caverns collapse, Saharu seemingly dies. However, Ginta had managed to retrieve him before then. When the Chi Warriors they head to their inn, they find Kai meditating.
76 "Unbalanced Power" May 3, 2010
The Chi Warriors cheer for their victory over the Rare Hunters, and a place in the finals. Masai tells them not to get ahead of themselves, as they have three days to train for the finals. Over the course of two days, the Chi Warriors vigorously train. Ginta and Laxus call their parents, who arrive in Sakusan Village to watch the finals. As the Chi Warriors train, they are visited by the Femme Fatals. Zola expresses her gratitude for the Chi Warriors saving them, but states they didn't need their help. She says that their enemies being weak is the reason behind their victory. Vulkna claims the Fatals are invincible. Ginta offers to battle to prove them wrong. The Fatals suggest that he isn't worth their time. Ginta and Zola fight evenly, causing Zola to use her signature technique. Ginta unleashes his move, ending the fight in a draw. The heroes see a shed of hope their way, realizing their fights against the Rare Hunters made them stronger. A day later, the tournament reaches the finals. The teams exchange insults, and the first match is between Saharu and Mistral. The two step into the steel-water cage. Mistral wishes Saharu luck, saying that he'll need it.
77 "Super Wave: Fight Water with Firepower!" May 10, 2010
Mistral playfully insults Saharu. When the fight starts, Saharu charges Mistral. The fight quickly ends up like their last one. Mistral says he's not skilled enough to bypass her initial defense. She strikes Saharu with a giant tsunami. Zola tells the Chi Warriors not to bet on a victory. Saharu remembers his goal to get even with Ragnarok. After taking several hits, Saharu finds a second weakness to Mistral's defense. He activates his Sacred Mark, isolating the defense with a vortex of flames. He then burns Mistral with a flaming bullet. As Mistral uses the water to heal her wound, Saharu shoots another bullet. Mistral blocks the attack. Mistral coats herself in water, tackling Saharu. With Saharu's body growing weaker, he is amazed to find that his friends still believe in him. Mistral then has it rain in the cage, depleting Saharu's Reiki.
78 "Saharu Strikes Back" May 17, 2010
When Mistral prepares to finish Saharu with her next move, Saharu notices the bloodlusted look in her eyes. Mistral launches her attack, thrusting Saharu to the cage. As Saharu sits in disbelief of his skills, Mistral prepares for another attack. Mistral transforms, ensuring Saharu's defeat. With support from his friends, Saharu musters the little strength he has left to stand. He shoots several bullets into the whirlpool, weakening it. Mistral compliments Saharu, but tells him his futile attempt to weaken her attacks won't do anything. She says his attacks only do 1/4 of the damage on her. Saharu jumps into the whirlpool, shocking everyone. He transforms, unleashing a final attack. Mistral tries to gather more water, but realizes she's out of water to use. When the steam clears, Saharu is barely standing. With the Chi Warriors scoring the first win, Krystal decides to go up, determined to avenge Mistral's loss. Masai senses Krystal's power, stepping up to fight her next.
79 "Breaking the Ice!" May 24, 2010
After Masai dodges Krystal's attacks, he manages to break the ice with his his chi-infused palm. Krystal shoots her darts, but Masai evades all of them, but one on the leg. Krystal then kicks Masai into the air. Spirit threads appear out of the water, restraining and draining Krystal of her Reiki. Masai explains that he had set up the threads while dodging the darts. Impressed, Krystal transforms, creating a thick mist. Krystal manipulates the ice to restrict Masai's movements. Krystal immobilizing his body with the darts. She turns part of the ice into a steak, preparing to impale Masai through his heart. With Masai unable to move, the proctor prepares to announce Krystal as the winner. Meanwhile, Atticus and Baki murder the rest of the Tournament comittee, obtaining the VHS tape in the process!
80 "Masai Unbound" May 31, 2010
With Masai trapped, Krystal launches the steak. Masai remembers his fight with Angus, using his spiritual energy to destroy the ice. Masai creates a blade made of his spiritual energy, engaging Krystal in a sword fight. Krystal then creates several giant ice spears, impaling Masai. As Krystal walks away, Masai forces himself up, disabling all of Krystal's Chi Points. When Krystal kneels on the ground, Masai drops. The Chi Warriors cheer until Kai points out that Masai has nothing left. When Krystal is announced the winner, Ginta and Saharu go to Masai. Ginta has Saharu take Masai to the infirmary, while he carries Krystal to the Fatals. Krystal thanks Ginta, telling herself that her win was a hollow victory. Krystal apologizes to her team, and Vulkna believes it to be of no consequence. Krystal begins wondering more about the Chi Warriors. Absol decides to fight next, sensing the Chi Warriors have truly changed. When Absol enters the arena, Kai does so as well, preparing to settle his score with her. 
81 "Hatred of the Past: Kai's Winning Move!" June 7, 2010
Krystal realizes how the Chi Warriors can match them, afraid of how powerful they'll be in the future. Kai pressures Absol in close combat, taking the edge in the fight. He enters Torrent Seal Stage 1, trouncing Absol. However, Absol's aura explodes when she activates her Sacred Mark. Kai removes his weights, struggling to keep up with Absol. After the two clash with their Elements, Absol meditates, entering her Soul Seraph state! Kai is overwhelmed by her chi itself. Absol traps Kai's soul within her mind, asking him about his relationship with his team. Afterwards, she begins to destroy Kai, forcing him to enter his next form. The the collide their auras, tearing up the entire arena. Kai then uses the last of his Reiki to summon an 80 foot wave. Absol's attack, nearly destroys Kai, forcing him to gain more access to water. Afterwards, he activates his Devil's Eye, increasing the wave to 800 feet. Absol uses a final attack, striking Kai as she is hit with the massive wave. After Mistral absorbs the water, Kai is left standing, winning the fight. He then takes Absol to the Fatals, where she thanks him. Kai then leaves the stadium, causing Midori and Atticus to wonder more about him.
82 "Wrath of the Sky: God Eyes" June 21, 2010
Before Kai leaves the stadium, he puts his trust in Ginta and Laxus to overcome the Femme Fatals. Masai realizes Kai would have lost to Absol if her attack had been at a different angle. When Vulkna decides to fight, Laxus steps up to fight her. When the fight begins, Laxus' speed gives him the advantage. Despite this, Vulkna's Fire manipulation helps her regain control in the fight. Zola cheers for Vulkna, causing Ginta to realize that she cares deeply for her team. Zola insults him, disregarding what he said, but he simply smiles. After Vulkna enters her Blazing Molten form, she dominates Laxus in battle. Angered that he is unable to fight back, Laxus is reminded of his older brother. His anger continues to rise, entering Lightning Zapas. Ginta warns the Chi Warriors and Fatals of Laxus' eyes. A moment later, his eyes turn cool gray, unleashing the God Eyes!!
83 "Spiral Lightning!" June 28, 2010
Laxus thrashes Vulkna, giving her no room to counter. The Fatals pray that Vulkna can survive the beating. Vulkna summons her Spirit Beast, layering itself on her. She manages to withstand most of Laxus' attack, allowing her to counter. Laxus reveals his newest move, impaling Vulkna's ribcage. When the smoke clears, both fighters are out of the arena. With the fight a draw, Zola is determined to win the next match at all costs. She has the proctor announce that whoever wins the last match, wins the entire tournament. Ginta says that he agrees to Zola's terms, claiming that there's no way she can defeat him. Angered, Zola tells Ginta she wants Ginta to herself. Saharu questions Ginta's motives, but Masai, who has returned with Kai, states Ginta simply wants to enjoy a good battle. Zola smiles evilly, promising to torment Ginta to no end. When the two take their spots in the arena, tensions rises. The audience prepare for the final fight of the Regional Tournament. Midori publicly cheers for Ginta, causing the audience to do so as well. Atticus smiles, telling Ginta to give him a good show. When the final match begins, Ginta charges Zola at full speed.
84 "Dragoon Sense" July 5, 2010
Zola stomps the ground, keeping Ginta on the defensive. Zola tells Ginta to look around, revealing that her last attack re-arranged the entire terrain. Zola sends Ginta into the air. Zola gives chase, but is headbutted to the ground. Ginta avoids Zola's powerful strikes, realizing that she'd break him if she catches him with any of her attacks. Ginta manages to find an opening, using the wind to slow down Zola's next attack, piercing her chest. Zola bear hugs Ginta, countering his attack with one of her own. After an explosion ignites, Ginta jumps into the air, creating small tornadoes around the arena. Zola counters his attack, causing another explosion. Zola mocks Ginta, but frowns upon seeing him in a crater. Masai calls Ginta clever, explaining that he rotated his body while attacking, allowing the small tornadoes he created to absorb what would of been a fatal hit. Afterwards, Ginta lands a barrage attack on Zola, causing everyone to believe he had won. When Zola emerges from the ground, she releases her power. A moment later, Zola enters her Solid Titan form!
85 "Zola's Bloodlust: The Nightmare!!" July 12, 2010
Zola demolishes Ginta, using her aura to murder some of the audience themselves. The Fatals become fearful, explaining that Zola's true power is insane. Krystal states their usual training is fighting Zola at the same time. She says they are the only ones to witness her true power and live. As Zola thrashes Ginta, she claims she could take all of the Chi Warriors and crush them. Masai agrees with Zola, stating that most of them could only match a Fatal. Masai claims that only Ginta can beat Zola. Ginta enters Dragoon State, unable to improve his perfomance. Ginta makes a short comeback by using the holes in the ground to create airwave pressures, keeping Zola at bay. Zola lifts the entire stadium, displaying her monstrous strength. Zola collapses the terrain on Ginta, crushing him. When he crawls out of the debris, he enters his Phantom Dragoon form. Despite this, Zola continues to dominate him in battle, calling him pathetic. Mistral claims Zola wasn't always this way, revealing some of their past. After Zola fists a hole through Ginta's chest, Laxus screams out to him.
86 "Keep the Chance Alive" July 19, 2010
Zola tells the proctor to announce her as the winner. A moment later, Dark Gintā surfaces. Zola sets off a chain reaction in the Battlefield Arena. The attack shatters Gintā's bones, causing him to smile. Shocked, Zola engages him in combat. Atticus smiles, telling Baki that he's intrigued by Ginta's performance. Kairi claims Ginta's in a bloodbath, causing Laxus to call out to him. Gintā threatens to kill Laxus if he disturbs him again. Zola and Gintā exchange blows, but Zola regains the advantage. Afterwards, Gintā subjects Zola to a torture game. Laxus tells Ginta to remember what he's fighting for.  Ginta submits to Dragoon, regaining control. His Sacred Mark glows Red, leaving the audience terrified of his power. Ginta and Zola thrash each other, until Ginta and Dragoon use their ultimate attack against Zola's. After a huge explosion, the stadium is left in ruins. When the smoke clears, Ginta is kneeling over an unconscious Zola. The Chi Warriors are declared the winners, and the Fatals grudgingly congratulate them. Ginta thanks them, shaking Zola's hand as a symbol of respect.
87 "Village Besieged: True Champions" July 26, 2010
With the Chi Warriors victory, Midori congratulates them. Meanwhile, Ryuga has Gurimo manually do the process of restoring his power, while he sends Sissila, Ichikisa, and Osai to recollect more people for the extraction. When they head out, Ichikisa detects several high chi concentrations somewhere in the middle of Sakusan. The Chi Warriors sense the Rare Hunters, heading out after them. Midori and Ronan take Ginta back to their home in Sakusan, but are encountered by Atticus. Each of the Chi Warriors and Kairi encounters the Rare Hunters, entering brief fights with them. Masai and Dew tag team Ichikisa, succeeding in defeating him as a team. Saharu encounters Kozaki, Konan, Kitsune, and Ragnarok. He announces that he's done with the Rare Hunters, angering them. Ragnarok decides to fight Saharu, thrashing him. Saharu realizes that he hadn't completely healed from his fight with Mistral. Ragnarok's Lightning attacks electrocute Saharu, sending him to the ground. Kozaki, Konana, and Kitsune observe R.R. Domination, impressed by the success of their plan.
88 "Ragnarok's Last Stand" August 2, 2010
Ragnarok continues to thrash Saharu. Saharu endures the pain, proving to Ragnarok that he no longer has anything to do with the Rare Hunters. Saharu's resolve allows him to overwhelm Ragnarok. Surprised, Ragnarok is unable to accept Saharu's resolve. He brutally rips his heart out, impaling himself. Disappointed, Saharu meets up with the other Chi Warriors. Meanwhile, Ginta undergoes special training with Midori, which has him overcome a portion of his Darkness within his Sacred Mark. Ronan contacts his employer, telling him that he'll be ready for the exchange. In Torrak City, Gurimo completes the restoration process. Ryuga and Gurimo exit Torrak City, spreading carnage throughout the land. Ryuga prepares for the resurrection by murdering hundreds of people. Afterwards, he sets in motion his plan to convert people over a period of time. Ryuga then arrives at Dragon's Den, preparing to take Voltaire's life. Calypso however, manages to convince him to spare Voltaire's life.
89 "Power Restored?!" August 9, 2010
When the Chi Warriors make it back to the inn, they wonder where Ginta and Kai are. Ginta continues his training in preparation to fight Ryuga. Ryuga unleashes an outburst of his power, causing a chill to occur around Earth. Ryuga enslaves several villages, telling the world of his plan. He then creates a Ritual Arena, preparing to revive his wife. As he does so, he is reminded once more of the Elemental Conflict, as well as the future of his family. The Chi Warriors head out to stop Ryuga, realizing that the world is in danger once again. Ryuga's plan begins to take effect, allowing him to initiate the ritual. When the Chi Warriors arrive, Gurimo tells Ryuga that he'll dispose of the trash. He imprisons Kairi and Dew in a cell. Angered, the Chi Warriors prepare to do battle with Gurimo.
90 "Shroud of Flames: Enter Gurimo!!" August 16, 2010
After Gurimo removes his hat, he attacks the Chi Warriors, dominating them in battle. Meanwhile, Ginta struggles to overcome Midori's test, wondering if he really has a chance at stopping Ryuga. As Midori watches Ginta, she hopes that he can surpass his limiations. Ronan once again is shown discussing future plans with his employer. Gurimo thrashes the Chi Warriors, belittling them for their lack of teamwork. When Gurimo attacks them again, Masai analyzes his attacks, devising a plan. Gurimo dispatches of Laxus and Saharu fairly easily, setting his sights on Masai. Before his attack connects, Masai's spirit threads ensnare Gurimo, setting off a chain reaction. Laxus and Saharu then overwhelm Gurimo. Weakened, Gurimo transforms into his Shadow Ferox form!
91 "Silent Terror: The Dark Hand" August 23, 2010
Gurimo's aura ravages most of the area, turning it into a barren wasteland. Once Laxus and Saharu transform, they act as puppets for Masai's next plan. Ryuga compliments the Chi Warriors his for pushing Gurimo this far. Laxus, Saharu, and Masai manage to overwhelm Gurimo, damaging him severely. Despite this, they are unable to defeat him. Ginta senses his friends in danger, more determined to stop Ryuga. He senses his friends life energy decreasing, realizing that Gurimo is kiling them. Angered, Ginta overcomes his darkness, uniting with Dragoon. He thanks Midori for the training, setting out to save his friends. After Midori wishes Ginta luck, she is ambushed by a mysterious person. When Gurimo prepares to kill Saharu, Kai arrives, killing the Rare Hunter with a concentrated blast. Shocked, Ryuga binds them all with his Demon powers. Before he kills them, Ginta arrives, challenging Ryuga to a rematch.
92 "Ginta's Counterattack!" August 30, 2010
Ginta tells Ryuga he'll pay for his crimes against his friends and Saharu. Ryuga allows Ginta to get the first hit. Ginta thanks him, slowly vanishing out of sight. Ginta appears behind Ryuga, kicking him into the air. Afterwards, he knocks Ryuga to the ground. Angered, Ryuga wonders how could he fight evenly with him. The Demon King trades punches with Ginta, observing his movements. As a result, he is able to predict some of Ginta's moves, scoring several hits. Ryuga then attempts to step on Ginta's spine, but Ginta spins on his head, creating a dust storm. The storm masks Ginta's aura, allowing him to strike Ryuga several times without being detected. Ryuga tells Ginta he's improved, unleashing a powerful wave that breaks several of Ginta's bones. Ryuga praises Ginta for his resilience, but that won't save him. Ryuga creates several doppelgangers, overwhelming Ginta. Ginta unleashes a tornado, circling around it to increase its speed and momentum. Afterwards, he pinpoints the real Ryuga, shredding the Demon King with his tornado.
93 "Trap of Isolation: Earthquake" September 6, 2010
When Ryuga emerges from the rubble, he immobilizes Ginta, displaying his tactical cunning. Ryuga then uses his ability to torment Ginta's friends, horrifying Ginta. Ginta threatens to beat Ryuga to a pulp, provoking Ryuga to thrash him. Ryuga tells Ginta he better have a plan, or else the fight won't last much longer. When Ryuga gathers a ton of Reiki, destroying most of the village. He then lifts a skyscraper, hurling at Ginta. Ginta enters his Dragoon State, using his aura to block the attack. Ryuga used that as a diversion, overwhelming Ginta in close combat. Ginta uses the wind to increase his agility, avoiding Ryuga's attacks. He then goes on the offensive, revealing that he has been gathering information on Ryuga the entire time. Surprised, Ryuga decides to end Ginta completely, unleashing his Earthquake!!
94 "The End of Ryuga: Revival of Evil" September 13, 2010
The earthquake wrecks several cities, as well as sink a nearby island. When the smoke clears, Ginta reveals that he took the full hit. Ginta then trounces Ryuga, stating that he'll make him pay. Ryuga then unleashes a new ability, beating Ginta within the inch of his life. With Ginta on the verge of death, he finds the power to fight Ryuga, entering his final form. Ryuga transforms as well, determined to kill Ginta at all costs. The two evenly trade blow for blow, both at the receiving end of the other's heavier attacks. Ginta combines two of his techniques together, allowing him to dominate Ryuga in battle. Afterwards, he fists a hole through Ryuga, defeating him. Ryuga passes his living essence down to his son, stating that his son shall exact his revenge. When Ryuga dies, Ginta drops to the ground. Calypso arrives, praises the Chi Warriors for their teamwork. Kai walks off, scoffing at the idea of teamwork. Meanwhile, a mysterious man smiles, impressed with Ginta's victory over Ryuga.
95 "An Invitation From Bakura!" September 20, 2010
Two months after Ryuga's death, Ginta and Laxus are at school, finishing up a test. After school, they go to Ginta's house, surprised to see their parents conversing with one another. Rose hands Ginta a tape, telling him that it came from Atticus Bakura. Shocked, Ginta and Laxus wonder what could Atticus want with him. When Ginta plays the tape, Atticus offers Ginta and his team the chance to compete in a national's tournament, hosted by him. He briefly explains the rules of the tournament, as well as the prizes, and competition. Excited, Ginta accepts the offer. Atticus smiles maliciously, challenging Ginta to a game. When the game begins, Ginta quickly proves to be a challenge. However, after some time, Ginta's efforts become obsolete, losing the game. Atticus tells Ginta he's proven to be a potentially worthy opponent, but that he must suffer the consequences for losing. A moment later, Atticus steals the souls of Ginta's and Laxus' parents!
96 "A Test of Strength: Darkness Surfaces" September 27, 2010
With the recent of loss of their parents, Ginta and Laxus struggle on what to do. Laxus tries to break Ginta out of a trance. Ginta's mind is running wild with his darker thoughts no longer suppressed. He relives many significant moments of his past. He then endures the day of his brother's death. Calypso arrives, stating that they must head to Wanska Village pier. As Laxus is prepared to go, he asks Calypso if the others are coming. She says she informed the Chi Warriors already. Calypso tells Ginta that he must not let his own past get in the way of his mission. Calypso forces Ginta to enter a small sparring session with her, allowing her to gauge his current power. She tells him he'll need to improve if he hopes to accomplish the unthinkable. After Ginta packs a small bag, he finds a photo of his older brother and himself, shedding a tear. Calypso says the first sign of Ginta's  ancient past will resurface at the tournament. Ginta meets Laxus at Wanska Pier, where they converse with each other of the recent events. Once entering the boat, they meet with the Chi Warriors. After some time, they are confronted by several Regional Tournament teams, and the Femme Fatals.

When a person encounters the shadow, the shadow murders him, splattering his blood all over the deck of the boat. Everyone is shocked to hear this, causing Ginta to realize somebody's after his life. With the boat just two days from Isla Quido, everyone can see it in sight. The Chi Warriors use the next two days to train vigorously, preparing themselves for any challenge. After two days, the boat arrives at the foot of Isla Quido. When everyone departs from the S.S. Oculus, they are greeted by Atticus himself...

Atticus greets everyone, congratulating all of the participants for qualifying for the Sermon League tournament. He then goes over the rules, explaining what should happen if somebody runs out of Keyrings. With everyone gearing up to go, Atticus tells Baki and Sorisu to motivate Kai to enter the competition. When the tournament begins, Atticus prepares to test the Chi Warriors. The Chi Warriors promise to fight the Fatals later on, taking their own separate ways. After some time, they run into Yorik, who leads them to the Dark Forest. There, he challenges Ginta for one Keyring. When their fight begins, it quickly attracts other participants. Ginta takes an early lead with his superior martial arts. Yorik tells Ginta not to get confident, unleashing his ability!!
99 "Yorik's True Motive" October 26, 2009 November 22, 2011
Ginta struggles with Yorik's ability, due to it being powered by the environment. Yorik mocks Ginta, telling him he should have payed attention to the rules more carefully. Ginta eventually devises a way to counter Yorik's moves, eventually defeating him. Afterwards, Cato Tsubuya compliments Ginta. He then warns him of the danger that his mind will undergo. When the Chi Warriors take off, Cato promises that Ginta will regret taking part in the tournament. Meanwhile, Atticus discusses his plans with one of his confidants. Atticus has his confidant check up on the prisoners, while he sends the Knight Pawn Gang to eliminate some of the competitors.

The Chi Warriors look for another opponent, coming across Shorin Hokku. Laxus challenges Shorin, dominating him in battle. Shorin then turns his hands into Thunder Blades, attacking Laxus. Laxus uses his superior speed to overwhelm Shorin, forcing him to use his ultimate attack! Laxus uses the God Eyes' to destroy the dome, shocking Shorin. Laxus replicates Shorin's ability through the thunderstorm, striking Shorin's entire body. Meanwhile, Baki and Sorisu enter Dragon's Den, encountering the Dragon Riders. They easily bypass them. Baki Predict's their minds, learning the location of Kai. When they take off, the Dragon Riders wonder if they should release the Seven Swordsmen to handle the problem. Absol and Vulkna are shown defeating both Team Tuma and Team Ojira on their own.
101 "Atticus, the Invincible!" November 9, 2009
Baki and Sorisu confront Kai and Dew at Mystic Springs. Kai tells them he has no care for Atticus, ordering them to get lost. After Sorisu and Baki kidnap Dew, Kai prepares to give chase until the Seven Swordsmen and Dragon Riders arrive. Sabatiel tells Kai that he is welcome to find his own way to Isla Quido, but they'll be scoping the island. Meanwhile, Atticus checks on the Chi Warriors and Knight Pawn Gang's success. He then sends out the Five Pawns, tasking them to enter their territory and await for the Chi Warriors. Atticus' confidant visits the prison, revealing to them what Atticus has in store for them. Midori awakens, threatening to kill Atticus. When the Chi Warriors continue on, they entire another section of the Dark Forest, where Saharu almost lands in a tar pit. Moments later, they are confronted by Koto, who challenges Ginta to a fight. She tells him she'll reveal something of his past if he defeats her.
102 "Ginta vs. Koto" November 16, 2009
Ginta attacks Koto, but she easily evades his attack. Ginta increases his speed with his Reiki, trading punches with Koto in close combat. Afterwards, she kicks him to a tree. Koto tells Ginta she knows of a dark secret about him. Ginta asks her what it is, but she refrains from telling him. Koto then prepares to stab Yugi with her dagger. Ginta calms his mind, activating his Sacred Mark. He then twists Koto's arm, demanding that she tells him what is the secret. Koto laughs, causing Ginta to punch her to a tree. Meanwhile, Kai and the Seven Swordsmen take their own paths to reach Isla Quido. Kai swears on his life to get Dew, and make Atticus suffer. Baki and Sorisu return to Isla Quido, checking on the progress of Atticus' plan.
103 "Revalations" November 23, 2009
Atticus observes Ginta's fight, reminded of his own past. He then leaves to his secret room, where he mourns the death of his son. Ginta struggles against Koto's Toxic Elemental techniques. Eventually, he ends up in the tar pit, where his friends all try to help him. Koto tries to persuade Ginta to submit to his darkness to escape. With no options left, Ginta willingly allows his darker side to take control. Dark Gintā uses his dark magic, changing the landscape into a cliffside. He then thrashes Koto, preparing to transform and kill her. Koto stops him, admitting defeat. As a result, Ginta reverts to normal. When Ginta retrieves the two Keyrings, Koto reveals to him that Atticus Bakura is his father. Ginta drops the Keyrings, with his mind recounting his entire past, instilling fear into Ginta's mind.
104 "Ginta's Darkness" November 30, 2009
Ginta looks back on all of the memories of his father, horrified by this revelation. With Ginta's darker thoughts roaming wild, he is reminded of his brother's death, entering a stage of denial. Masai states that Ginta's condition is worsening. Koto explains that Atticus had taksed her with delivering the message to Ginta. Ginta clenches his heart, trying his best to suppress his darker half. When the Chi Warriors head off, Koto takes her leave, knowing that she has fulfilled her goal. Cato smiles, interested in how Ginta will overcome this obstacle. Meanwhile, Locket asks Atticus if it was wise to tell Ginta the truth. Atticus replies that it was all part of his plan. When Atticus looks into the mirror, he displays slight depression and regret. In the Dark Forest, the Knight Pawn Gang has eliminated Jao, Matotoru, Sikishu, and Kojubane. Each of the Five Pawns have also defeated several teams of their own.
105 "Geno, the Kid: Spirit Blade!" December 7, 2009
With Kai only a few days away from Isla Quido, he prepares to get back at Atticus for his heinous crime. When the Seven Swordsmen arrive at Isla Quido, they observe the entire tournament, encountering the Knight Pawn Gang. Meanwhile, the Chi Warriors are challenged by a Geno. Geno's insults anger all of the Chi Warriors but Ginta, who is lost in denial and refusal to the truth. Masai decides to fight Geno, making short work of him by destroying his mind. When the Five Pawns regroup, they decide who will fight the Chi Warriors next. When Kokujo wins, Penance and Morrigan murder a few participants out of anger. Meanwhile, Atticus talks with his prisoners, telling them how his plan will come to fruition. After he leaves, Midori and the other prisoners manage to escape, where they all go their separate ways. The Chi Warriors end up in a cemetary, sensing a dark force approaching them...
106 "Arena of Lost Souls" December 14, 2009 March 4, 2012
Laxus and Masai discuss Ginta's condition, but are interrrupted by the Eliminator, Kabesu. Wanting to fight already, Saharu tells Kabesu he'll take his head as a souvenir. Kabesu says he'll give him three Keyrings if he wins. As Saharu agrees to the terms, Kabesu tells him he doesn't stand a ghost of a chance. When the fight begins, Saharu finds it difficult to locate Kabesu, due to how dark it is. He ignites his body, allowing him to pinpoint Kabesu's location. Despite this, Saharu is being struck down by Kabesu's strikes. When Saharu rises to his feet, he overcomes Kabesu's shoots flame bullets in all directions, greatly injuring Kabesu. Kabesu uses his Reiki to call the spirits of the dead. Saharu struggles with the spirits of the dead, and Kabesu. All of the Chi Warriors fear for his life, wondering what can he do. Ginta refrains from saying anything, on account of his refusal to do anything. Saharu enters his Inferno Phoenix form, setting the whole cemetary on fire. Kabesu emerges from the flames in his transformed state.
107 "Give up the Ghost" December 21, 2009 March 10, 2012
With Saharu running low on chi, he struggles to combat Kabesu and his beasts. Saharu reveals he ignited the graveyard as the first step to his plan. He finds the weakness of the beasts, igniting the graves once again., Angered, Kabesu thrashes Saharu. Meanwhile, Atticus' confidant checks up on the prisoners, shocked that they have escaped. He informs Atticus, who replies that he's already sent Baki and Sorisu to go after them. Back at the graveyard, Kabesu immobilizes half of Saharu's body. When Saharu drops to one knee, Kabesu charges him., He is forced back when Saharu coats himself in a layer of fire. Saharu summons Phoenix, having her burn through Kabesu's chi. Afterwards, Saharu seals Kabesu's power within a grave. When Kabesu adms defeat, Saharu beheads him. He states that he intended to keep his promise. A moment later, Saharu drops, with Phoenix protecting him. The Chi Warriors then continue onward, with the other Eliminators, Cato, and Rare Hunter Kozaki watching from afar.
108 "Levian Rose" January 4, 2010 March 13,2012
Locket informs Atticus that Kabesu has been defeated. Atticus smiles, ordering everyone to get ready to play their role for his next move. While Midori infiltrates Atticus' castle, the other prisoners travel through the Dark Forest. Meanwhile, the Chi Warriors arrive at Destiny Bridge. Before they cross, they are encountered by Gardenia, who immobilizes all of them. She tells them that she will defeat them all. Masai uses his spiritual energy to cut through the vines. He states he's the only one fit to fight Gardenia. Gardenia summons the Evergreen Gardena, increasing her abilities. She proves difficult to Masai, who struggles with her element. Eventually, Masai finds a way through her illusion, defeating her with one strike to the heart. A moment later, the Knight Pawn Gang and the Seven Swordsmen arrive. Both groups tell the Chi Warriors of their reasons for coming, preparing to eliminate them. Both groups stop when Kozaki, Cato, and the Femme Fatals arrive.
109 "Everything's Relative" January 11, 2010
The Femme Fatals decide to help the Chi Warriors, sending Mistral to fight both Duval and Spades. The ensuing fight allows the Seven Swordsmen and Kozaki escape. Mistral summons her Spirit Beast, having it devour her two opponents. Angered, the Knight Pawn Gang prepare to fight the Fatals, but are stopped by Sorisu and Baki. Sorisu informs them that Atticus requests their presence. When the Knight Pawn Gang takes their leave, Baki takes note of Ginta. He walks up to Ginta, telling him more of his and Atticus' past, as well as the one responsible for his death. Traumatized, Ginta's fear completely consumes him. Baki trounces Ginta, daring him to come after him. Baki's group then heads back to the castle. The Fatals tells the Chi Warriors they are close to reaching their goal, but hope that Ginta will be okay. After the Fatals take their leave, the Chi Warriors cross the Destiny Bridge, where they entire a passing. After walking for a bit, they come across several strangers. One of the strangers speaks up, revealing that he is Lugia Hydra!
110 "Meet Alistair Mizael" January 18, 2010
Lugia expresses his pain and jealousy towards Laxus and his friends. Laxus tries to reason with him, but Lugia and most of the prisoners take off with him. The last prisoner revels his name to be Alistair Mizael. When Ginta and Alistair stare at each other, they both experience pain. Alistair's darkside takes control, introducing himself as Dark Yliaster, a "servant" of the great Pharaoh, Ra. Confused, Ginta asks how does he know Ra. Dark Yliaster tells him he'll give him the answer if he defeats him in a fight. Still afraid to fight, Ginta reluctantly accepts. When the two engage in combat, Ginta's fear prevents him from fighting back. Dark Yliaster thrashes Ginta, causing the Chi Warriors to call out to Ginta. Dark Yliaster tells Ginta he'll be killed if he doesn't fight back. Ginta refuses to retaliate, causing him to get clobbered. Meanwhile, Kai is nearing Isla Quido, preparing to exact his revenge.
111 "The Darkness: Forbidden Game" January 25, 2010
Ginta's fears allows Dark Yliaster to thrash him. As a result, his resolve becomes more clear. Dark Gintā coutners Dark Yliaster's attack, thrashing him relentlessly. Afterwards, both fighters revert to normal. Alistair asks what happened, causing the Chi Warriors to realize he's like Ginta. Ginta however tells his friends that he's going after Baki and Atticus, intending to take their lives. Meanwhile, Atticus realizes that his plan to evaluate Ginta's resolve has worked. Locket agrees, but asks Atticus why would he have Ginta make Baki his primary target. Baki states that it is simply a test for Ginta. Gardenia tells Morrigan and Penance to be careful of the Chi Warriors. The two promise Gardenia that they'll defeat the Chi Warriors, heading out to their territories. Atticus instructs the Knight Pawn Gang and Sorisu to eliminate any remaining participants in the tournament. He then tells Locket to look after Gardenia, while he and Baki go to the 48th floor of the castle. The Chi Warriors see the castle in sight, but encounter Penance.
112 "Evil Tension: Penance Appears!" February 1, 2010
Penance offers the Chi Warriors a chance to get pass him. Laxus makes several attempts, but to no avail. Masai warns Laxus of Penance's ability, stating that he possesses a strange Element. Laxus struggles to evade Penance's shadows, due to the properties of his ability. Meanwhile, Kai arrives on Isla Quido, heading for the castle. Sorisu's group make short work of most of the participants left. Laxus' struggle forces him to activate his Sacred Mark, allowing him to gain the edge on Penance. Penance's anger rises, granting his shadows actual life. Penance's new ability forces Laxus on the defensive, leaving him with little options for survival.
113 "Winning Through Intimidation" February 8, 2010
Penance overwhelms Laxus, preparing to kill him with his next move. Laxus reveals a way to defeat Penance, activating God Eyes. He summons a thunderstorm, taking advantage of Penance's shadows. As a result, Penance is electrocuted, dropping to the bottom of the ocean. When the Chi Warriors search for Ginta, Laxus is confronted by Lugia and his gang, Saharu is confronted by Kozaki, and Masai is confronted by Cato. As Kairi and Alistair search for their friends, Ginta searches the entire island for Baki. Atticus and Baki confront Midori, introducing her to Atticus' confidant. Meanwhile, Kai confronts Morrigan, who prepares to murder him.
114 "Trial by Devil's Eye!" February 15, 2010 
Kai activates his Devil's Eye, stealing Morrigan's soul. Afterwards, he starts towards Atticus' castle. Ronan explains to Midori his motives for helping Atticus. Horrified, Midori prepares to attack Ronan, but Baki restrains her. Atticus tells her to get her power restored before challenging them. He takes her to the Chamber Room, where he plans to revive his son. Atticus tells her that she'll be used as a sacrifice, causing Midori to jump out of the window. Meanwhile, Laxus, Saharu, and Masai are all intimidated by Lugia, Kozaki, and Cato respectively. The Femme Fatals manage to defeat a few more opponents, deciding to fight the Chi Warriors soon. Sorisu's group eliminates more participants, hunting down the last remaining teams.
115 "True Devastation!!" February 22, 2010
Sorisu's group defeats the last of their targets, aiming to eliminate the Femme Fatals and Spirit Chi Warriors next. Ginta continues to search for Baki, finding a weakened Midori nearly dead. The Femme Fatals encounter Sorisu's group, challenging them to a fight. Zola has a brief fight with Symmetry before ripping her brain out of her skull. Angered, Lancer fights Zola, taking a slight edge in their fight. Zola counters Lancer's last attack with her signature technique. Before they continue, Baki arrives, making short work of Zola. With the Fatals defeat, Absol telepathically warns Kai of the danger. Meanwhile, Kairi and Alistair find Laxus, Saharu, and Masai. They discuss what their next move will be. Before they try to find Ginta, a familiar voice calls to them. To the Chi Warriors suprise, Kai arrives, with a bloodlusted look in his eyes.

Kai insults his teammates, preparing to take off. Laxus runs in front of him, refusing to back down unless Kai defeats him in a battle. Laxus calls Kai out on his attitude, insulting his fighting skills. This provokes Kai enough to accept Laxus's challenge. When the two prepare to clash, Kai looks back on his intense training. Kai insults Laxus preparing to put him in his place. When the fight starts, Kai takes an early advantage, despite Laxus' impressive speed. Kai exploits Laxus' delayed rebound time. Masai realizes Kai's tactical prowess and superior combat instincts could give him the win. Kai boasts about his increase in Water manipulation. He demonstrates by summoning a giant wave without his scarf on. He then plans to engulf Laxus in it. Laxus enters his Lightning Zapas form, destroying the wave. Kai unleashes a devastating barrage on Laxus.
117 "The Scars of Defeat" March 8, 2010
Laxus summons a thundercloud, increasing his speed. He begins to overwhelm Kai, causing Saharu, Kairi, and Alistair to cheer for him. Laxus then catches Kai in his electrical trap, causing Kai great pain. Angered, Kai reveals his newest ability, using Lightning with his Water techniques! Laxus uses Kai's water against him, quadrupling the power of his technique. Once Kai enters Torrent Seal Stage 1, he observes all of Laxus' movements and attack pattern. As a result, he forms a strategy to forcibly burn Laxus' chi and stamina. Afterwards, Laxus reverts to normal, losing the fight. Kai insults Laxus, telling him he'll be a failure for life. As Kai takes his leave, Sorisu's group arrives.
118 "Double Team Effort!!" March 15, 2010
Sorisu says that the Chi Warriors are next on his hitlist. A moment later, Symmetry arrives, revealing that she has more than one body. Meanwhile, Midori tells Ginta of her own past, as well as what happened after he completed her training. Ginta carries Midori, heading into the castle. Saharu and Masai are battling the two remaining bodies of Symmetry. Their teamwork manages to overwhelm her. Cato and Kozaki both observe Saharu and Masai's performance. Symmetry activates her ability, taking control of the fight. This forces Saharu and Masai to activate their Sacred Marks. Despite this, she unleashes her full ability, stealing Saharu's soul. As a result, Masai becomes enraged!
119 "Evil Betrayal: Masai's Rage" March 22, 2010
Masai's rage shakes the entire island, shocking everyone. Atticus and Locket observe the fight, deciding that the Chi Warriors true test is nearing. Meanwhile, as Ginta and Midori search throughout the castle, a mysterious shadow heads for the boat to Wanska Pier. Masai manages to recover Saharu's soul, allowing the two to fight Symmetry together. After Saharu transforms, he burns one of the bodies to death. The last body, releases their aura, causing Saharu to purposely take the hit. This allows Masai to combine his Reiki with Saharu's destroying the last body. Laxus congratulates the two for their victory, stating that he'll go up next. Laxus steps up, challenging Sorisu to a battle. Lancer tells Laxus that Sorisu will rip him apart.
120 "Strings of a Bow: Sorisu's Ability" March 29, 2010
When the fight begins, Laxus kicks Sorisu in the chest. He is surprised when Sorisu seems unfazed. Sorisu punches Laxus in the gut, knocking him back several hundred yards. Laxus dashes behind Sorisu, preparing to land a heavy blow. As Sorisu turns around, he gets kicked in the face. When Laxus attacks Sorisu again, he narrowly avoids being sliced in half by Sorisu's bow. Sorisu drops his bow, causing it to burrow deep within the earth. As he picks it up, he explains how he learned to wield such a weapon. Laxus tells him to get serious, provoking Sorisu to activate his Sacred Mark. Sorisu creates wind in the shape of an arrow, attaching it to a chi thread. Laxus manages to dodge Sorisu's attack, but ends up being pierced in the leg. Laxus activates his Sacred Mark, countering another attack his own arrow. Laxus' barrier redirects the arrow to a mountain, piercing through it.
121 "The Will to Succeed!!" April 12, 2010
Midori states Sorisu is having Laxus waste chi and keeping him off guard, so that he'll successfully land his next attack. Saharu says Laxus has a plan. When Sorisu launches the Multi-Arrow Shot, Laxus channels electricity through the wind nets, electrocuting Sorisu. Impressed, Sorisu unlocks his First Suppression. A moment later, his arrows impales Laxus, causing him to scream in agony. Once Sorisu traps Laxus in his casket, Laxus looks back on the stories his father told him of his older brother. Sorisu tells Laxus he is very impressed with him, entering Atemu Fangs. Laxus enters Lightning Zapas and activates his God Eyes, thrashing Sorisu. With Laxus fatally wounded, Sorisu tells him a worthy opponent deserves a worthy death. Laxus and Sorisu trade blows, using their most powerful attacks against one another. Eventually, the two compliment each other, dropping down.
122 "The Almighty Part V" April 19, 2010
Lancer decides to fight the Chi Warriors, challenging Kai to a fight. Kai walks up to Lancer, causing him to unleash his attack. Masai realizes that Kai killed Lancer before he even knew it. After Lancer's attack fails, Kai shows him his heart, crushing it in the palm of his hand. Kai then takes off, heading for the castle. The Chi Warriors continue to search for Ginta. Ginta and Midori run into Locket and Ronan, who prepare to exterminate them. Midori's anger rises, causing her to fight evenly with Ronan. Ginta tells Midori he'll go after Baki. Midori continues her fight with Ronan, thinking of her own past. Eventually, she twists his head, and then removes it. Meanwhile, the Chi Warriors arrive at the castle, heading through several floors. Atticus senses their presence, ordering the Dungeon Keepers to ensure that they be halted. Locket then informs Atticus of Ginta and Kai's presence. Atticus is slightly shocked by Ginta's state, wondering if he made a mistake.
123 "Ginta's Second Sense" April 26, 2010
Ginta searches many of the castle floors, eventually finding Baki within the Dark Tower. Baki tells Ginta more about his role in Ginta's past. Enraged, Ginta activates his Sacred Mark, overwhelming Baki. Baki soon gains control of the fight, telling Ginta he won't defeat him like this. Meanwhile, the Chi Warriors are forced into a game with the Dungeon Keepers. Masai does extremely well, stating that the game has some similarities with chess. The Dungeon Keepers all protect their territories, overpowering the heroes. With all of the heroes struggling to succeed, Kai zooms through the castle, searching for Atticus.
124 "Enter the Maze: Rise of the Guardian" May 3, 2010
The heroes continue to struggle against the Dungeon Keepers. Kairi however uses her Machine support to get them to the next territory. Ginta continues an uphill battle with Baki. Baki continues to taunt Ginta, fueling his anger. Ginta's anger drastically improves his fighting style, fighting on even terms with Baki. Ginta tells Baki he'll make him suffer, breaking several of his bones with a savage barrage. Baki immediately counters, preparing to rip Ginta's soul from his body. The King and Queen begin to use their own abilities, proving challenge for the heroes. Their abilities overwhelm the heroes, leaving only Alistair left to save them. Atticus, Locket, Sorisu, and Gardenia all observe Ginta's battle with Baki. Atticus has Locket and Sorisu prepare for the revival. Gardenia wonders if Atticus is beginning to regret his actions.
125 "Settling the Score" May 10, 2010
Atticus senses Kai's presence, deciding to handle him personally. Ginta and Baki continue their brawl, but Ginta's rage forces him into Phantom Dragoon state. Ginta then brutally trounces Baki, eventually killing him by shoving his fist through Baki's heart. Ginta then arrives on the 86th floor, where he catches some fresh air with Midori. Alistair struggles to outdo the King and Queen, but is assisted by his darker half, defeating the King. Afterwards, the Queen easily overcomes Alistair. With the combine efforts of the heroes, the Queen is defeated. The heroes all get to the 86th floor, where they meet up with Ginta and Midori. Meanwhile, Atticus tells Kai he'll have to play to win. He orders him to defeat Ginta in a battle to get to him!!
126 "Face Off" May 17, 2010
When the heroes reach the foot of the peak of the fortress, Kai prevents them from advancing. Laxus and Saharu attack Kai, but to no avail. Kai convinces Ginta to fight him, proving that he's fighting for much more than himself. The two wager enough Keyrings to qualify. When the fight begins, Ginta and Kai exchange blows. Ginta assaults Kai with a barrage, but Kai counters by knocking Ginta into the air. Kai flashes behind Ginta, trouncing him with his beat down tactics. Ginta then turns into a ball, striking Kai like a pinball. Kai counters Yugi by kicking him through a section of the fortress. When Ginta emerges from the debris, the two activate their Sacred Marks. When the fight continues, Atticus prepares for the revival of his dead son.
127 "An Earth Shattering Duel!" May 24, 2010
Ginta and Kai power up, shaking several islands. Kai creates water clones of himself, attacking Ginta in numbers. Ginta manages to fight off the clones. As a result, the real Kai kicks him through an island. Ginta creates a tornado in the water, sucking Kai up. Kai uses this to trap Ginta in his move. Ginta transforms, reversing the attack on Kai. Ginta overwhelms Kai until Kai enters his Torrent Seal Stage 1. Ginta creates a few tornadoes, keeping Kai at bay. The two execute devastating blows on the other. Afterwards, they strike each other, destroying two bordering islands. Atticus is pleased with the fight, wondering who will get the chance to save their loved one. As a result, Atticus wonders if the choices he's made in life were the right ones.

When Ginta and Kai return to the island, they take their fight to the forest. When they arrive back at the fortress, they thrashing each other once again. Kai uses his ability to freeze Ginta in place. He boasts about his newest ability, stating Ginta will be defeated soon. Ginta and Kai summon their Spirit Beasts, attacking each other with all of their might. When an explosion ignites, the two drop to the ground. Masai notices Ginta's injury. When Kai barely rises, he claims victory. Kai collects the Keyrings, insulting Ginta. Kairi tells Kai off for his attitude. He states he has all he needs to succeed. Koto runs through the forest, searching for Ginta. Meanwhile, Kai enters the Oculus Arena, where he challenges Atticus for the chance to save his sister.
129 "Broken Destiny: Kai vs. Atticus" June 7, 2010
The Chi Warriors wonder how will they make it into the fortress. Meanwhile, Kai and Atticus initiate their fight. Kai struggles to land a hit on Atticus, who taunts Kai endlessly. Kai enters Torrent Seal Stage 1, using several tactics but to no avail. Atticus' evasion increases Kai's anger. Koto finds the Chi Warriors, giving them the Keyrings to enter the fortress. When the group arrives in the arena, Ginta is shocked to find Kai fighting his father. Atticus reveals to Kai that the Chi Warriors are watching their fight. Atticus shows off his mind-reading abilities, proving difficult for Kai. Kai enters close combat against Atticus, clearing his mind of all thought. Kai kicks Atticus in the stomach, sending him to the ground. Impressed, Atticus defeats Kai with his eye ability. Atticus then steals Kai's soul, horrifying the audience. Atticus congratulates the Chi Warriors for advancing to the finals, revealing that their first true test is fighting each other!!
130 "Rekindled Rivalry: Power of the Phoenix" June 21, 2010
With the Semi-Finals of the Sermon League getting underway, Ginta is matched up against Saharu. When they take their place, Kairi and Alistair realize only one can win. Atticus agrees, but adds the twist: the loser loses their soul. When the fight begins, Ginta and Saharu lock arms. They exchange blows, sending each other to the ground. When Saharu rises, Ginta vanishes. Saharu activates his Sacred Mark, incinerating the arena to draw Ginta out. Saharu catches Ginta in his trap, overwhelming him with a flurry barrage. Ginta enters his Dragoon State, creating a tornado that blows the flames out. Afterwards, Ginta uses the tornado to immobilize Saharu. He then uses his signature technique to blast Saharu through several walls.
131 "Two Turn Dive!!" June 28, 2010
Saharu spits out some blood, telling Ginta he wants his old rival to go full power. Ginta complies with Saharu's wish. The two release their chi, entering Dragoon State and Inferno Phoenix form respectively. After the two trade blows, Saharu uses his blade to increase the range of his fire attacks. He assaults Ginta with flame-infused sword attacks. Saharu dominates the fight, impressing Atticus. Ginta creates several clones, assaulting Saharu in numbers. Saharu defeats all of the clones, but is struck by Ginta's piercing attack. Saharu then escapes Ginta's tornado by summoning Phoenix. Saharu in Phoenix clash with Ginta and Dragoon. When the smoke clears, Ginta and Saharu are kneeling. Saharu wishes Ginta luck, losing his soul!
132 "A Spirit Ascends: Soul of Evil" July 5, 2010
With Saharu's soul taken, Masai's anger rises. Atticus sets up the next round: Laxus vs. Masai. When the fight begins, Masai rushes into close combat, forcing Laxus on the defensive. Atticus takes note of the anger in Masai's soul, wondering what Cato thinks of this. Masai disables several of Laxus' Chi Points, shocking everyone. Laxus tells Masai he's letting the death of Saharu consume him. Laxus unleashes a counterattack, temporarily paralyzing Masai in place. The two then exchange blows, knocking the other through several stages of the arena. When the two arise, they realize they have no desire to fight each other.
133 "A Sense of Doubt: Refusal!" July 12, 2010
Laxus and Masai discuss over their predicament, wondering if they should forfeit. Locket and Gardenia express their worries to Atticus, who cracks a devious grin. Ginta notices this, wondering what is he planning. After Laxus enters his Lightning Zapas form, he and Masai continue to fight one another. Masai creates several spirit threads, ensnaring Laxus' arms and legs that inflict internal damage on him. Laxus uses this chance to channel electricity through the threads, electrocuting Masai. Midori realizes what Masai and Laxus are doing, telling Ginta and Kairi to not step in. A moment later, Laxus and Masai drop to their knees. The two call the fight unfinished, causing Atticus to take one of their souls. Masai takes the hit for Laxus, wishing him luck on his quest to save his parents. When Masai drops, the room fills with silence.
134 "Best of Friends, Best of Fighters" July 19, 2010
Ginta's anger causes him to attack Atticus. Everyone is surprised when Locket takes the hit. As Ginta helps Locket up, Atticus prepares for the final match of the Sermon League. Ginta and Laxus realize only one of them can win and get the wish. They promise to fight at their best, and no holding back. When the fight starts, Ginta and Laxus exchange several blows. Laxus uses his superior speed to gain the advantage, impressing everybody. Kairi wonders who will win, wishing that neither one would lose. Alistair agrees, but states that maintaining oneself throughout a fight is the key to victory. Laxus continues to dominate Ginta until Ginta activates his Sacred Mark, using the pressure of the wind to gain the edge on Laxus. Laxus destroys part of the roof, summoning a thundercloud. He warns Ginta to prepare himself, because the worst has yet to come.
135 "The Ties of Friendship" July 26, 2010
Laxus uses the lightning and roaring thunder to overwhelm Ginta. Ginta dances around the attacks, finding a weak point in Laxus' strategy. He breaks down Laxus' strategy, trapping him in a super tornado. Laxus enters his Lightning Zapas form, destroying the tornado. Ginta enters his Dragoon State, trading punches with Laxus. Their clash causes Isla Quido and several bordering islands to shake. Laxus activates his God Eyes, trouncing Ginta. Ginta summons Dragoon, nullifying Laxus' advantage. When Laxus summons Zapas, the two have one final clash. Ginta used the smoke of the clash to unleash his and Dragoon's special attack, defeating Laxus. With Ginta's victory, the two begin crying because only Ginta can get a wish. Atticus tells Ginta he did say there'd be better prizes, granting Ginta a shed of hope.

Ginta asks Atticus what does he mean by better prizes. Locket explains to Ginta he can earn the right to any wish he wants, but he must complete the secret challenge. Laxus asks what must Ginta to do for the final challenge. Atticus states he must defeat him in a fight.

Long ago, when the world was plagued with darkness, was a great war between the Pharaoh, and Ra. After a titanic battle, the Pharaoh emerges victorious, saving the world from eternal darkness. In Wanska Village, Ginta Typhoon practices martial arts with his mother, Rose. When they're met by Calypso, Ginta does battle against her. Calypso tells Ginta of his Sacred Mark trying to surface for years. She explains that he needs to save this world from darkness and be one with his Spirit Beast. She tells him that he'll learn more about the pieces to his past from this. When Ginta heads off, Calypso wishes the Pharaoh luck.

Ginta enters Golden Gate, where he meets Laxus. Laxus tells him he has been studying for their upcoming exams. Ginta tells Laxus of his journey, asking him to join his crusade. Hesitant, Laxus looks back on the previous adventures he had with Ginta. He accepts Ginta's offer, stating that he'll get to continue his journey as well. The two travel through Golden Gate, but are stopped by the clerk. The clerk has them go retrieve a box of milk before they can enter the city. At Dragon's Den, Ryuzaiga "Voltaire" Szasazu has the Dragon Riders test their abilities against the test dummies. Voltaire prepares Kai for Project: Demolition! Draco and Tragoedia express their jealousy towards Kai, as Voltaire only seems to care about him. Voltaire explains that they will begin by conquering smaller villages and towns, and then work their way up. When the Dragon Riders take off, Kai curses his grandfather under his breath.

Ginta and Laxus retrieve the milk for the clerk. The duo head for the center of the city, determined to find the cause of the uproar. When Ginta and Laxus arrive, Ginta tells Lorca to stop terrorizing people. Lorca punches him in the face, knocking him to the ground. Laxus helps Ginta up, challenging Lorca himself. Ginta tells him he'll take care of Lorca. Ginta finds it hard to keep up with Lorca, as he displays superior wind manipulation than him. Lorca tortures Ginta, melting his skin with the Flame Elixir. As a result, Ginta is possessed, entering the Distortion World. Ginta tortures Lorca, forcing him to reveal his plan. Ginta drops Lorca as he claims the Cold One is watching. Lorca struggles to laugh, cursing Ginta as he drops dead. Ginta and Laxus reach the desert, realizing they'll need help. Meanwhile, Kai makes his way to Diablo Desert, where he encounters the Desert Bandits...
148 "Heart of Evil: Masai vs. Neichi" November 2, 2009 November 22, 2011
While Kai exits Diablo Desert, the Dragon Riders continue Project: Demolition. Ginta and Laxus walk through the scorching hot desert, struggling to find a way out. They eventually come across the Desert Bandits, asking for their help. After Ginta explains the situation, Saharu and Kairi agree to help the duo. As they take off, Saharu tells Ginta he has been training to defeat him. Eventually, they arrive at Abrondis. Ginta wonders why is it so big, and Kairi replies that it is several masses formed together. Meanwhile, the Dragon Riders continue their path of destruction and conquest!
149 "Lost in Isolation: Masai's Nightmare" November 9, 2009
When the heroes enter Abrondis, they explore the city on their own. Afterwards, Kairi asks where Ginta is, causing the heroes to look for him. During an inspection, Kai discovers Lorca has been killed. Angered, the Dragon Riders decide to search for Lorca's killer. When the Dragon Riders enter Abrondis, they search throughout Okoto for Lorca's killer. They manage to find out that a boy named Ginta was responsible. Voltaire discusses with Mirou over the history of the Dragon Riders. Meanwhile, Ginta admires the aspects of Abrondis. Eventually, Ginta ends up in an alley, where he comes face-to-face with the Dragon Riders!
150 "Down in Flames!!" November 16, 2009
The Dragon Riders believe Ginta to be someone else, but Kai knows that Ginta is the boy who killed Lorca. Kai asks him if he knows who Lorca is, and the latter says that hee beat him at Golden Gate. The Dragon Riders lunge at Ginta, but Kai stops them. Kai tells Ginta about the Dragon Riders. The heroes finds Ginta, planning to attack. Kai senses the presence of Ginta's friends, tempted to fight them. Kai tells Ginta that they'll have their fight soon enough. As the Dragon Riders leave, Ginta is met by his friends. Saharu says that he ran into one in the desert, stating that he was known as the Cold One. When the heroes head to an inn, they are being carefully watched by a mysterious group.
151 "One Step Ahead" November 23, 2009
When Saharu awakens, he discovers his blade had been stolen. He awakens Ginta, and the two go out looking for it. They find a kid who reveals to have it, who challenges Saharu for it. When morning comes, Saharu finds the kid in a ring. The kid reveals his name is Rigel, and that Saharu will have to win his blade back from him in a caged match. When their match is about to begin, several villagers gather around. Saharu dominates the battle, realizing Rigel is a novice. He walks off, but is caught in Rigel's trap. After Rigel mocks Saharu, Saharu activates his Sacred Mark, breaking free from Rigel's trap. Saharu uses Volcano Emission, destroying the whole cage. After Saharu takes his blade back, Rigel pouts. Laxus explains that nobody always wins. Ginta agrees, promising to spar with him someday. Excited, Rigel goes home, vowing to get stronger to beat Ginta and Saharu. A moment later, a group of hunters kidnap Kairi. Shocked, the three boys go chasing after the hunters!!
152 "Absolute Zero" November 30, 2009
Unable to track down the hunters, the trio head back to the inn. However, a hunter detects them, following the heroes. Back at the inn, the boys think of a reason why Kairi could have been kidnapped. The maid knocks on their door, asking if they want tea. As huge gust of wind blows from outside, Laxus steps outside, while Saharu saves the maid. Laxus encounters a hunter, asking where he took Kairi. The hunter says Laxus will have to beat him to get that answer. The hunter reveals himself as Merenge, and the Rare Hunters are a secret organization set out to obtain the peace in the world. He says females generally have stronger Spirit Beasts than males. While Laxus continues his battle with Merenge, Ginta notices his eyes reacting to his anger. Saharu's horrors flood his mind as the Rare Hunters have surfaced again. Laxus manages to kill Merenge, wondering how will they find Kairi now. Two more Rare Hunters arrive, making a deal with the heroes. Ginta and Laxus tag team Rare Hunter Oori and Rare Hunter Gori, but quickly realize how powerful the two are in comparison to them.
153 "Ice Release: Icicle Spear" December 7, 2009
Ginta and Laxus continue their battle with Rare Hunters Oori and Gori. The two begin taking control of the battle when they start fighting as one. They eventually defeat the Rare Hunters by combining their Elements. The Rare Hunters explain their true goal. Laxus asks if they are working with the Dragon Riders, but they say that their goal is to rid the world of the Dragon Riders Organization.  Oori says Kairi is in a cell within Abrondis - Sea Level. As the heroes leave, both Oori and Gori laugh, knowing that they will never save her. Voltaire is informed by Mirou of the return of the Rare Hunters. He then orders the Dragon Riders to shift their major focus around Abrondis. The heroes search for Abrondis - Sea Level, asking several people for help. When all hope seems lost, Laxus and Saharu wonder if Ginta had more luck. Ginta meets Hiyo, who tells him the location of Abrondis - Sea Level. As Ginta leaves, Hiyo smiles evilly, contacting Gekka. When Ginta finds Laxus and Saharu, they set out to save Kairi.
154 "Awakening to Reality: Ginta vs. Masai" December 14, 2009 March 4, 2012
When the heroes arrive at Abrondis - Sea Level, they notice how mysterious it is. Ginta points to the gate to enter. When they reach it, Gekka arrives with Hiyo, preparing to kill the trio. Ginta explains why they need to get inside, but Gekka and Hiyo taunt him. When Hiyo attacks Ginta, he explains he was leading him on. Angered, Ginta breaks Hiyo's arm, causing him to scream in pain. As Hiyo begs for mercy, the Dragon Guardians appear, allowing Gekka to advance. As she goes off, the heroes prepare to fight. After one of the Dragon Guardians kill Hiyo, the heroes attack them in anger. Meanwhile, the Dragon Riders continue their conquering, but discover the Rare Hunters have been struggling for control as well. The Dragon Riders then head off to Abrondis - Sea Level.

The heroes manage to overwhelm the Dragon Guardians, once Ginta becomes possessed. After defeating the Dragon Guardians, Laxus and Saharu carry Ginta into the cave. Saharu notice a thick fog surrounding them, asking if it's natural. When they arrive at the Cave of Wonders, they find several Rare Hunters gathered. The Rare Hunters chase the heroes to the end of the Cave. Ginta awakens to find the inscriptions match the same ones on his Sacred Mark. The Rare Hunters enter, and they send Rare Hunter Hugo to fight. Saharu blocks with a wall of fire. He then kicks Hugo to the Rare Hunters. Gekka catches up to the heroes, preparing to kill them. When the heroes escape, the Dragon Riders arrive to the scene. Voltaire contacts Kai, telling him to conquer the land surrounding Abrondis. things take a turn for the worse when they encounter Rare Hunter Koga, and his squad. Laxus engages Koga in battle, which is interrrupted when Kai and Antioch show up!

Ginta asks how Kai and Antioch found them. Antioch replies that they can lock on their Youki with their Reiki senses. As Gekka arrives, she is shocked to see that the Dragon Riders are present as well. Kagone says they have ravaged Abrondis, Golden Gate, Lionsgate, Jalai, Moriku, Yoriyoko and started on Serisu. Laxus prepares to fight Kai, but Kai considers him an insect. Koga and his squad decide to eliminate Kai, but are all easily defeated. Saharu tells Ginta and Laxus that Kai was the one he encountered in the desert. Kai creates a huge wave, destroying most of the pathway and Rare Hunters. When the heroes escape, Kai catches up to them. He prepares to kill them, but is interrupted when Rare Hunter Osai demands the lives of the four. As Kai grows an evil glare, Amon tells him that his grandfather wouldn't approve. Kai replies that he has no care for his grandfather's wishes. The heroes all split up, entering their own section within Abrondis - Sea Level. With all of the commotion, Rare Hunter Osai finds his chance to murder Ginta!!
157 "Frozen Fear: a Hero Lucks Out!" January 11, 2010
Laxus finds the remaining prisoners, setting them all free. He and Kairi recover a comatose Ginta, wondering where Saharu is. As he leads the prisoners out, Saharu leads the Rare Hunters to the exit of the caverns, entering Serisu. They tell Saharu of their goal to revive Ryuga! When the Rare Hunters flee, Saharu witnesses the destruction caused by Draco. When Saharu confronts him, Draco says he'll thrash him with ease. Afterwards, the two continue their fight, with Saharu managing to take a slight edge. The Dragon Riders all return to Dragon's Den, where they are severely punished for the failure of conquering Abrondis. Meanwhile, Rose arrives in Gold Gate, determined to find her son.
158 "Shades of Evil: Below Zero" January 18, 2010
Saharu's success against Draco causes the Dragon Rider to realize he is being bullied in combat the same way when he fought Kai. Angered, Draco thrashes Saharu, defeating him with a final assault. Draco refrains from killing Saharu when Ginta, Laxus and Kairi arrive. They decide to go find some place to heal, leaving the damaged village. Voltaire asserts his dominance by torturing Kai, Dew, and Draco. Afterwards, he begins corrupting thousands of citizens, using them as his army of mind-slaves. Meanwhile, the heroes make their way into Youken Town. When they enter a market, they are surprised to find Masai working there. As the heroes discuss the recent events with Masai, Ginta asks him to help them on their quest to stop the Dragon Riders. Hesitant, Masai prepares to refuse. A moment later, Laxus notices that they are being watched by two Rare Hunters. Masai decides to take care of them, confronting their stalkers.
159 "The Mysterious Youth" January 25, 2010
Masai prepares to refuse Ginta's request, but overthinks the conversation he had with Calypso. Masai agrees to help Ginta and his friends stop the Dragon Riders. Meanwhile, Voltaire has the Dragon Riders accomplish Project: Demolition, or else he'll have the Seven Swordsmen finish the job. As the Dragon Riders take off, Kai swears to kill Voltaire. Each of the Dragon Riders take their own sections to conquer, determined not to fail. The heroes sense the Dragon Riders attacking Serisu Village. As they make their way there, they encounter Drazen. After Drazen burns Masai and Kairi, Ginta's anger ascends. While Laxus takes the two to a hospital, Saharu tries to save the people. Ginta and Drazen engage in their fight, fighting each other throughout Serisu. Meanwhile, Kai realizes the fight for Project: Demolition has started. Dratini gets worried, but both Antioch and Kagone mock her, causing Kai to yell at them. As Dratini blushes, Kai walks off, curious about Ginta's potential.
160 "Brothers in Arms" February 1, 2010
Ginta and Drazen's battle causes their auras to eclipse Serisu. After Drazen trounces Ginta, Saharu steps in to help him. Ginta awakens, entering his Initial Dragoon form. Shocked, Drazen's Youki is equal to Ginta's, causing him to trounce Ginta. Weakened, Dark Ginta surfaces, torments Drazen. Afterwards, Ginta regains control, killing Drazen with a new technique. Calypso arrives, taking  to an inn, Calypso says that she has been watching Ginta's progress. Masai asks her if she knows the outcome of this battle against the Dragon Riders. She says she does, but cannot say. She tells Yugi that together with the people he is surrounded by, he can succeed. Kai finds out about Drazen's death, enraged. As the Dragon Riders are on their way to Serisu, the heroes all decide to get some training done in preparation for their arrival. While Voltaire is torturing Dew, Rose is in hot pursuit of the heroes!
161 "Suno's Vision" February 8, 2010
While Ginta and Masai train on Willow Mountain, the others train in an indoor training facility. Ginta and Masai have a brief fight, but Ginta is easily defeated. Masai explains to Ginta the concept of Elements, Reiki, and Youki. Afterwards, he tells Ginta a little about his own past. Shocked, Ginta reveals pieces of his own past. Meanwhile, as the Dragon Riders near closer to Serisu, Laxus, Saharu and Kairi train hard. They begin learning new techniques, even advancing to a new stage. Masai has Ginta train to fight with all of his Spirit Points blocked off and disabled. Ginta struggles to overcome Masai's training, realizing that Masai must have trained extremely hard from a young age. After completing his first of two tests, Ginta then must overcome the growing darkness within his spirit.
162 "Melody of Ice: The Bitter Taste of Hatred" February 15, 2010 

Masai tells Ginta about Healing Factors, explaining how they work. Meanwhile, Laxus, Saharu and Kairi notice an explosion ignite in the city. As the Dragon Riders search for Ginta, they run into Laxus, Saharu and Kairi. Antioch asks for Gintas whereabouts, but Saharu claims they don't know. Kagone disagrees with that, hurling a lamp post at them. While Kai heads to Soulilette Pathway, he has the rest of the Dragon Riders begin conquering Irin. Laxus and the others charge, but Antioch knocks them back to the pavement. While the three heroes engage the Dragon Riders in combat, they begin wondering if their training wasn't enough to surpass them. Rose continues her search for Ginta, realizing that he could be in trouble. Ginta continues his intense training with Masai, determined to defeat Kai and the Dragon Riders. Calypso watches everything from afar, excited about the events that are about to transpire.

163 "Masai Reborned: Spirit Zone" February 22, 2010
With Yugi and Masai's training still going on, the heroes continue their struggle against the Dragon Riders. Meanwhile, Kai heads to the Mystic Springs, where he reflects on his past. His past causes his inner anger to build up within himself, further increasing the hatred he has for his grandfather. The Dragon Riders continue their conquering, determined to realize Voltaire's vision. The heroes discover how outclassed they are, unable to defeat the Dragon Riders. However, Laxus continues his struggle against Antioch, but discovers the weakness of his element first hand. Voltaire continues corrupting more people, having them destroy several villages and murder other individuals. Before Kairi and Saharu are killed, Ginta and Masai arrive to save them!
164 "Sholark's Lethal Technique!" March 1, 2010
Antioch laughs at Laxus, telling him to die as he strikes Laxus into the ground. After struggling further, Laxus manages to find a way to overcome Antioch's power. His Glaring Zapas form manages to help him defeat the Dragon Rider. After Masai helps an exhausted Saharu, he prepares to defeat Kagone. Masai's bold confidence angers Kagone. Masai's evasive fighting causes Kagone to lose his focus, allowing Masai to strike his Sacred Mark. Meanwhile, Ginta easily dodges Dratini's attacks, asking her what is satisfying as a Dragon Rider. Shocked, Dratini looks back on her past as a Dragon Rider...
165 "Sheer Cold" March 8, 2010
Kai's hatred for his grandfather intensifies as he is reminded more and more of his past. He heads back to Dragon's Den, where he encounters Voltaire. Voltaire tells him the hope of his dreams all rides on Kai. He asks Kai if he cannot live to create a perfect future for himself, is there any worth in a future that means so little. Afterwards, Voltaire tells Kai to begone from his sight, having no use for him at the moment. Meanwhile, Masai hammers Kagone with a special attack, shutting his Sacred Mark down. Ginta withstands all of Dratini's attacks, defeating her with one strike to the gut. When Ginta and Masai give Kairi and Saharu a healing herb, they set out to meet up with one another. Ginta and Kairi make their way to the center of Serisu, where they meet Laxus, Masai and Saharu.
166 "Masai vs. Sholark!!" March 15, 2010
Rose enters Moriku, encountering Slayer, Bauraki and Rukia. Meanwhile, Ginta claims that to defeat the Dragon Riders, they'll have to split up. Kairi asks why would that be ideal, and Ginta says that staying together makes them an easier target. When everyone takes off, Calypso stops Ginta, telling him that he is not at a level where he can fight Kai. Calypso takes Yugi to a secluded place called the Unknown. She states that Masai's training brought his Youki to its maximum at this point, but he isn't skilled enough to keep up with Kai. Ginta accepts Calypso's training, developing his physical strengths, mental resistance, and skill in combat. Meanwhile, Bauraki has Slayer and Rukia continue on while he fights Rose. Rose's battle with Bauraki takes a turn for the worse when he uses his overwhelming strength to overpower her. Laxus, Saharu, and Kairi travel to different parts of Irin. While Saharu enters Jalai, Kairi encounters Rukia in Yoriyoko. When the two engage in battle, Rukia uses her superior element to dominate Kairi.
167 "Strength Through Divination" March 22, 2010
Rukia's elemental advantage begins to take its toll on Kairi. Despite this, Kairi manages to outwit Rukia, forcing her to reveal her Flame Orb! Although Kairi is at the brink of defeat, she manages to drown Rukia by accessing the water from the underground pipes. Rose gets a stroke of luck when she manages to force Bauraki into using his Water Element. She manages to use that to increase her Element, ultimately leading to Bauraki's defeat. While Ginta continues his training with Calypso, she helps him develop a new technique. Mirou informs Voltaire of the deaths of Bauraki and Rukia, angering him. He prepares to have the Seven Swordsmen complete Project: Demolition. However, he is reminded of the Elemental War. Meanwhile, Saharu senses a dark Youki within Jalai, tracking it down to the east of the village. He is horrified to find the entire section of the village burned to a crisp. Slayer emerges from the flames, telling Saharu he'll make sure to defeat him.
168 "Clash of the Icy Winds" March 29, 2010
Saharu takes an early lead in his fight with Slayer, displaying immense skill as a swordsman. As Saharu continues his fight with Slayer, the Dragon Riders continue Project: Demolition. Laxus continues his journey to find Kai, determined to put an end to the Dragon Riders. Rose and Kairi run into each other, shocked that the other defeated a Dragon Rider. They decide to travel together, heading for Kirinsu. Meanwhile, Saharu and Slayer continue their brawl, destroying several sections of Jalai. Slayer tells Saharu of the Dragon Riders cause, asking him if he truly understands their way of thinking. Saharu insults the Dragon Riders, angering Slayer. Slayer strikes Saharu into an exploding building, laughing at Saharu's death.
169 "Sholark's Icy Maneuver: Crystal Ice Blades" April 12, 2010
Slayer prepares to complete his job, but is frozen in fear when Saharu emerges from the flames. Slayer enters a new form, ensuring Saharu's defeat. As a result, Slayer thrashes Saharu, preparing to defeat him for good. Saharu withstands Slayer's attacks, countering his final assault with his newly developed ability. Afterwards, he incinerates Slayer, winning the fight. Meanwhile, Voltaire discusses the future of the world with Mirou and the Seven Swordsmen. He mentions how the world will be recreated in his image. In Kirinsu, Rose and Kairi discover the city flooded. They venture throughout the city, saving several people in the process. Eventually, they come face-to-face with Gekka, who prepares to drown Rose and Kairi!
170 "Ascension of the Star Clan!" April 19, 2010
Gekka dares Kairi to attack her, looking for some action. Kairi swears on her friends' lives that she'll defeat her. The two fight in the central of the city, where there's more water. Gekka tricks Kairi, trapping her within a vortex. With Kairi slowly dying, Rose prepares to help her. As Ginta continues his training, he senses that his friends are in trouble. Masai makes his way to Kirinsu, sensing Kairi's Youki decreasing. Rose tries to save Kairi, but Gekka uses the surrounding water to create a barricade to stop her. Kairi uses this opportunity to escape, managing to make a comeback. However, the comeback is shortlived when Gekka nearly strips all of the water from Kairi's body. Before Gekka can lay the final blow on Kairi, she is saved by Masai. Masai gives Kairi to Rose, ordering her to take Kairi to a hospital.
171 "The Mystery: Dark Prophecy" April 26, 2010
After Rose departs from Kirinsu, Masai has a brief scuffle with Gekka. She then traps him within an illusion, giving him only 10 minutes to escape with his life! Voltaire has all of his soldiers enter all of the conquered villages and enslave the people. As the soldiers file out, Voltaire awaits the completion of Project: Demolition. With only 8 minutes, Masai struggles to figure out where the exit to the Water Tower is. Gekka manages to use her ability to manipulate water further complicate Masai's task. Masai realizes that Gekka is no average opponent, formulating a plan to escape the water tower and defeat Gekka at the same time. Ginta continues his intense training with Calypso, struggling to master a new technique.
172 "Relinquished, the Destroyer!" May 3, 2010
Impressed by Masai's intelligence, Gekka increases the speed of the flood. Masai struggles to find an exit, stop the flood, and defeat Gekka at the same time. Despite this, he manages to hold his own in combat against her. When the water begins to rise above Masai, he devises a plan to defeat Gekka, and win her game. Rose searches for a hospital, hoping Kairi will live. With 4 minutes left, Masai uses his Reiki to burst out of the mist, swimming to the nearest platform. With the flood increasing, Masai observes the water tower, easily detecting the weakness within Gekka's illusion. Masai states that to win, he must summon a Spirit Beast as the key to his victory. However, it can't be his own Spirit Beast!!
173 "Stalked by the Rare Hunters" May 10, 2010
Gekka turns all of Geyser Tower into a swirling whirlpool. Masai engages Gekka in combat once again, using his Reiki to maintain a constant flow of balance. With the water almost filled up, Masai pretends to drop dead, allowing Gekka to believe she had won. Meanwhile, Saharu decides to go find Laxus or Kairi, searching Sitoko to find them. He runs into a mysterious person, noticing the isolation in his eyes. Gekka prepares to release the water tower, shocked when Masai's attack cripples her. Subdued, Gekka involuntarily summons her Spirit Beast, destroying the illusion of the tower. Masai explains to Gekka that he needed to take a few hits so that he could eliminate all of her options. After Gekka faints, Masai sends all of the water to the Yebaya Ocean. When he looks up into the sky, Masai wonders if he'll ever get a decent challenge.
174 "Future Sight" May 17, 2010
Saharu asks the boy what is wrong, shocked when it turns out to be Amon. Amon tells Saharu of his desire to please Voltaire, explaining his past as an orphan. Saharu tells Amon that he makes him sick, attacking him. As a result, Amon loses an arm. After Amon gains his arm back, he warns Saharu of the consequence if he should fail to cut his arm off a second time. Saharu attempts to do so, but is put down with one hit. Meanwhile, the dragon soldiers continue enslaving the people, causing Rose and Kairi to take refuge in an abandoned warehouse. Laxus arrives at Soulilette Pathway, realizing that Kai must be somewhere up ahead. When he continues on, he is attacked by the Dragon Twins. Laxus manages to easily defeat them, eventually arriving at Mystic Springs. Once there, he confronts Kai, challenging him to a fight.
175 "Vesper's PSI: Counterattack!!" May 24, 2010
Laxus calls Kai heartless for murdering and enslaving people for his own amusement. When the fight begins, Laxus uses his speed and Element to his advantage. Despite his superior speed, Laxus finds himself utterly outclassed by Kai. Laxus wonders if he has a chance at defeating Kai, tempted to give up. As Laxus continues a hopeless battle against Kai, Calypso begins training Ginta's mind, as well as unlocking the seal to his bond with Dragoon. Calypso tells Ginta more of his ancient past, telling him of the importance of his success. Shocked, Ginta wonders what chance does he have against Kai. Laxus manages to catch Kai in his attack, but freezes in fear upon realizing that Kai has only been toying with him so far...
176 "Kodachi Attacks: Heat Golem" May 31, 2010
Laxus pushes himself to the next stage, overwhelming Kai with his massive speed. Kai struggles to keep up with Laxus, as his speed is 3x faster than his own. The Draco and Amon meet up near Soulilette Pathway, shocked that most of them have been eliminated. Draco decides to go tell Kai the news, while Amon senses a person approaching. Laxus' comeback ends abruptly when Kai enters his first stage, dominating the fight. Laxus realizes that Masai would have had a better chance at winning. With Laxus out of options, he attacks Kai with one final assault. The attack fails, due to Kai's perfect defense. Afterwards, Kai trounces Laxus ferociously. He then activates his Devil's Eye, stealing Laxus' soul!!
177 "Zarosa's Rage: Shatter the Darkness!!" June 7, 2010
Ginta senses a disturbance, realizing something bad had happened. At Mystic Springs, Kai's inner hatred for his past builds up. He causes several villages to shake, flooding several villages. When Draco arrives, he confronts Kai about his relationship with Voltaire. Kai threatens to kill Draco, provoking Draco to lash out at him. Kai thrashes Draco, telling him to go back to Dragon's Den. Meanwhile, Rose manages to find Soulilette Pathway, encountering Amon. Amon questions Rose's motives, warning her to fight for her life. Amon easily overwhelms Rose, expressing his sorrow in his attacks. Rose notices Amon's depression, asking him what could be troubling him. Shocked, Amon tells Rose of his past as an orphan, as well as revealing his only reason for living.
178 "Greetings, From Ryuga" June 21, 2010
Amon asks Rose how would she feel if she tried so hard to be of some use to the one she cares about the most, but end up only feeling trapped in the shadow of another. Amon's sadness forces him to transform, preparing to take Rose's life. Rose reveals her special abilities, managing to counter the attack. With Rose struggling for her life, she manages to use Amon's emotions to her advantage, winning the fight. When Amon retreats back to Dragon's Den, Masai arrives. Rose tells him she couldn't find a hospital, handing Kairi over to Masai, who is also carrying Saharu. Rose takes off to find Ginta, telling Masai to make sure that Saharu and Kairi get better. When Rose encounters Kai, Ginta completes his training with Calypso. He takes off, tracking down Kai's Youki. Kai uses his Devil's Eye to torture Rose. A moment later, Ginta arrives, horrified by what he sees...
179 "Danger With a Compromise" June 28, 2010
Kai shows Ginta Laxus's soulless body, and his weakened mother, angering him. Calypso stops Ginta from attacking Kai, telling him to stay focused. Calypso takes care of Rose, and Laxus' body, impressed at how far Ginta's come in such a short time. Kai gives Ginta the chance to backdown, but he refuses. When the fight begins, Kai has a clear advantage, due to the environment, and the storm. Kai seemingly obliterates Ginta with a special attack. As a result, he insults Ginta for the subpar challenge. Ginta manages to make a counterattack, striking Kai to the Tower of Sanctuary. At the peak of the tower, the two trade each other blow for blow. After Kai knocks Ginta off, Ginta unleashes another counter barrage, sending Kai straight down into the water.
180 "Playing with a Parasite" July 5, 2010
Ginta struggles to detect Kai's Reiki, wondering if he camouflaged with the water. Calypso tells Rose that Ginta is fighting in Kai's domain. Kai emerges from the water as a giant wave, consuming Ginta. Ginta however uses his Wind element to help him escape. Impressed, Kai tells Ginta of the origins of the Tower of Sanctuary, and Mystic Springs. Afterwards, he transforms, telling Ginta that the fight will only get tougher from this point on. When the fight continues, Ginta is getting pummeled by Kai's to no end. As Ginta struggles to fight Kai, a dark force tries to take his body over. After being launched into the water, Ginta emerges in his full transformed state. He and Kai fight evenly, clashing with the power of their elements. As a result, they destroy parts of Mystic Springs, as well as several bordering towns. Ginta then thrashes Kai, causing him to wonder how could Ginta be his superior. When Kai gets up, transforms once again, ensuring Ginta's defeat!
181 "Evil See, Evil Do!" July 12, 2010
Kai wrecks Ginta, unleashing the full extent of his water abilities. Afterwards, Kai creates a huge hurricane. Masai and Kairi look outside through a window, realizing that this fight is far crazier than they had thought. Saharu awakens, asking them to take him to their battle.  Kai unleashes his most powerful attack, destroying several villages and murdering millions of people. Unable to escape, Ginta fades into the tsunami. When the waves calm down, Ginta is nowhere to be seen. Kai smiles, knowing Ginta couldn't have escaped the wave. Calypso however tells herself that Ginta avoided the heart of the attack, but he is in critical condition. At Dragon's Den, Voltaire punishes the Dragon Riders and Dew. He tells them that once Kai finishes up his business, he will send out the Seven Swordsmen to finish everything. Meanwhile, Kai jumps back on the cliff, smiling evilly at his victory.
182 "The Orion Defenders!!" July 19, 2010
Kai stops smiling when he sees Ginta  limping towards him. He asks how Ginta survived his attack, shocked when Ginta destroys the cliff. Angered, Kai trounces Ginta relentlessly. Ginta is ready to give in, but remembers the reason he must win. Kai prepares to kill Ginta, but he tanks the hit, shocking Kai. Ginta walks toward Kai, no longer able to suppress his dark force. Kai punches him, but Ginta grabs his fist. Masai realizes the destruction Ginta and Kai are causing, wondering if anybody is safe. Saharu manages to convince Masai and Kairi to take him to the battlefield. Ginta reaches his breakpoint, entering another transformation! He dominates Kai, using his dark powers, as well as several different elements to assault Kai, presumably destroying him!
183 "Invincibility" July 26, 2010

Rose wonders how Ginta got that powerful. Calypso states that Ginta is subconsciously isolating the possession from his heart, allowing him to keep control. When Kai reappears, he strikes Ginta at his Sacred Mark, injuring him. Angered, Ginta unleashes his newest technique on Kai's Sacred Mark, ripping through Kai's Sacred Mark. Kai suffers major damage, cursing Ginta. As a result, he summons his Spirit Beast, taking control of the fight once again. Ginta summons his Spirit Beast, leveling the playing field. Ginta and Kai savagely thrash the other, leaving the whole area in ruins. Afterwards, Ginta and Kai are on the ground, exhausted from their battle. When Ginta's friends arrive, they are shocked by Laxus' soulless body. Ginta forces himself to his feet, claiming victory. Kai's loss traps him in a frozen state of realization, shattering the resolve to his mind. As a result, Laxus' life is restored to him.

184 "Speed Demon" August 2, 2010
Laxus hugs Ginta, thanking him for saving him and defeating Kai. Laxus tells Ginta Kai's fate is in his hands, asking him what will he do. Ginta has Calypso heal Kai, much to everyone's shock. Calypso does so, explaining that she has been studying the five of them. Kai denies the offer, shaken from his loss, and realization of his weakness. Calypso brings up his grandfather, mentioning how he wants to be free from his control. Kai reluctantly agrees, going to the Tower of Sanctuary to reflect on his life. Calypso tells the Chi Warriors to head to Gatokage in one month. Calypso says that there's one more thing to be taken cared of. A moment later, Calypso and Ginta vanish, shocking the heroes. At Dragon's Den, Voltaire's anger erupts, preparing to unleash the Seven Swordsmen. However, Mirou tells him to worry about the people trespassing within Dragon's Den. Shocked, Voltaire has the Dragon Riders take care of the intruders!!
185 "Forbidden Technique: Hydro Pump" August 9, 2010
Ginta and Calypso travel through Dragon's Den, preparing to confront Voltaire. Kai realizes where Ginta headed off to, taking off after him. Ginta and Calypso encounter the Dragon Riders, easily bypassing them. Afterwards, they confront Voltaire, who displays his massive power. When Kai arrives, he is shocked to find Ginta challenging Voltaire. Calypso tells Ginta Voltaire isn't an opponent he can take on, using her powers to trap Voltaire's mind in a trance. Calypso tells Kai the importance Ginta will have in his life, warning him not to get crossed up with Voltaire ever again. A moment later, Calypso vanishes. Ginta then departs from Dragon's Den, returning home. Once there, he begins training for one month, in preparation for his next adventure.

Long ago, when the world was plagued with darkness, was a great war between the Pharaoh, and Ra. After a titanic battle, the Pharaoh emerges victorious, saving the world from eternal darkness. In Wanska Village, Ginta Typhoon practices martial arts with his mother, Rose. When they're met by Calypso, Ginta does battle against her. Calypso tells Ginta of his Sacred Mark trying to surface for years. She explains that he needs to save this world from darkness and be one with his Spirit Beast. She tells him that he'll learn more about the pieces to his past from this. When Ginta heads off, Calypso wishes the Pharaoh luck.
194 "Skyskraper Battle: Path to Power" October 19, 2009 November 22, 2011
Ginta enters Golden Gate, where he meets Laxus. Laxus tells him he has been studying for their upcoming exams. Ginta tells Laxus of his journey, asking him to join his crusade. Hesitant, Laxus looks back on the previous adventures he had with Ginta. He accepts Ginta's offer, stating that he'll get to continue his journey as well. The two travel through Golden Gate, but are stopped by the clerk. The clerk has them go retrieve a box of milk before they can enter the city. At Dragon's Den, Ryuzaiga "Voltaire" Szasazu has the Dragon Riders test their abilities against the test dummies. Voltaire prepares Kai for Project: Demolition! Draco and Tragoedia express their jealousy towards Kai, as Voltaire only seems to care about him. Voltaire explains that they will begin by conquering smaller villages and towns, and then work their way up. When the Dragon Riders take off, Kai curses his grandfather under his breath.
195 "Saharu's Revenge!!" October 26, 2009 November 22, 2011
Ginta and Laxus retrieve the milk for the clerk. The duo head for the center of the city, determined to find the cause of the uproar. When Ginta and Laxus arrive, Ginta tells Lorca to stop terrorizing people. Lorca punches him in the face, knocking him to the ground. Laxus helps Ginta up, challenging Lorca himself. Ginta tells him he'll take care of Lorca. Ginta finds it hard to keep up with Lorca, as he displays superior wind manipulation than him. Lorca tortures Ginta, melting his skin with the Flame Elixir. As a result, Ginta is possessed, entering the Distortion World. Ginta tortures Lorca, forcing him to reveal his plan. Ginta drops Lorca as he claims the Cold One is watching. Lorca struggles to laugh, cursing Ginta as he drops dead. Ginta and Laxus reach the desert, realizing they'll need help. Meanwhile, Kai makes his way to Diablo Desert, where he encounters the Desert Bandits...

While Kai exits Diablo Desert, the Dragon Riders continue Project: Demolition. Ginta and Laxus walk through the scorching hot desert, struggling to find a way out. They eventually come across the Desert Bandits, asking for their help. After Ginta explains the situation, Saharu and Kairi agree to help the duo. As they take off, Saharu tells Ginta he has been training to defeat him. Eventually, they arrive at Abrondis. Ginta wonders why is it so big, and Kairi replies that it is several masses formed together. Meanwhile, the Dragon Riders continue their path of destruction and conquest!
197 "Three Beasts: The Devil Resurfaces!" November 9, 2009
When the heroes enter Abrondis, they explore the city on their own. Afterwards, Kairi asks where Ginta is, causing the heroes to look for him. During an inspection, Kai discovers Lorca has been killed. Angered, the Dragon Riders decide to search for Lorca's killer. When the Dragon Riders enter Abrondis, they search throughout Okoto for Lorca's killer. They manage to find out that a boy named Ginta was responsible. Voltaire discusses with Mirou over the history of the Dragon Riders. Meanwhile, Ginta admires the aspects of Abrondis. Eventually, Ginta ends up in an alley, where he comes face-to-face with the Dragon Riders!
198 "Spiritual Sanction: Filled with Fury" November 16, 2009
The Dragon Riders believe Ginta to be someone else, but Kai knows that Ginta is the boy who killed Lorca. Kai asks him if he knows who Lorca is, and the latter says that hee beat him at Golden Gate. The Dragon Riders lunge at Ginta, but Kai stops them. Kai tells Ginta about the Dragon Riders. The heroes finds Ginta, planning to attack. Kai senses the presence of Ginta's friends, tempted to fight them. Kai tells Ginta that they'll have their fight soon enough. As the Dragon Riders leave, Ginta is met by his friends. Saharu says that he ran into one in the desert, stating that he was known as the Cold One. When the heroes head to an inn, they are being carefully watched by a mysterious group.
199 "Combination of Light and Darkness" November 23, 2009
When Saharu awakens, he discovers his blade had been stolen. He awakens Ginta, and the two go out looking for it. They find a kid who reveals to have it, who challenges Saharu for it. When morning comes, Saharu finds the kid in a ring. The kid reveals his name is Rigel, and that Saharu will have to win his blade back from him in a caged match. When their match is about to begin, several villagers gather around. Saharu dominates the battle, realizing Rigel is a novice. He walks off, but is caught in Rigel's trap. After Rigel mocks Saharu, Saharu activates his Sacred Mark, breaking free from Rigel's trap. Saharu uses Volcano Emission, destroying the whole cage. After Saharu takes his blade back, Rigel pouts. Laxus explains that nobody always wins. Ginta agrees, promising to spar with him someday. Excited, Rigel goes home, vowing to get stronger to beat Ginta and Saharu. A moment later, a group of hunters kidnap Kairi. Shocked, the three boys go chasing after the hunters!!
200 "Victory Shines, When a Team Unites" November 30, 2009
Unable to track down the hunters, the trio head back to the inn. However, a hunter detects them, following the heroes. Back at the inn, the boys think of a reason why Kairi could have been kidnapped. The maid knocks on their door, asking if they want tea. As huge gust of wind blows from outside, Laxus steps outside, while Saharu saves the maid. Laxus encounters a hunter, asking where he took Kairi. The hunter says Laxus will have to beat him to get that answer. The hunter reveals himself as Merenge, and the Rare Hunters are a secret organization set out to obtain the peace in the world. He says females generally have stronger Spirit Beasts than males. While Laxus continues his battle with Merenge, Ginta notices his eyes reacting to his anger. Saharu's horrors flood his mind as the Rare Hunters have surfaced again. Laxus manages to kill Merenge, wondering how will they find Kairi now. Two more Rare Hunters arrive, making a deal with the heroes. Ginta and Laxus tag team Rare Hunter Oori and Rare Hunter Gori, but quickly realize how powerful the two are in comparison to them.
201 "Possession" December 7, 2009
Ginta and Laxus continue their battle with Rare Hunters Oori and Gori. The two begin taking control of the battle when they start fighting as one. They eventually defeat the Rare Hunters by combining their Elements. The Rare Hunters explain their true goal. Laxus asks if they are working with the Dragon Riders, but they say that their goal is to rid the world of the Dragon Riders Organization.  Oori says Kairi is in a cell within Abrondis - Sea Level. As the heroes leave, both Oori and Gori laugh, knowing that they will never save her. Voltaire is informed by Mirou of the return of the Rare Hunters. He then orders the Dragon Riders to shift their major focus around Abrondis. The heroes search for Abrondis - Sea Level, asking several people for help. When all hope seems lost, Laxus and Saharu wonder if Ginta had more luck. Ginta meets Hiyo, who tells him the location of Abrondis - Sea Level. As Ginta leaves, Hiyo smiles evilly, contacting Gekka. When Ginta finds Laxus and Saharu, they set out to save Kairi.
202 "Broken Bonds" December 14, 2009 March 4, 2012
When the heroes arrive at Abrondis - Sea Level, they notice how mysterious it is. Ginta points to the gate to enter. When they reach it, Gekka arrives with Hiyo, preparing to kill the trio. Ginta explains why they need to get inside, but Gekka and Hiyo taunt him. When Hiyo attacks Ginta, he explains he was leading him on. Angered, Ginta breaks Hiyo's arm, causing him to scream in pain. As Hiyo begs for mercy, the Dragon Guardians appear, allowing Gekka to advance. As she goes off, the heroes prepare to fight. After one of the Dragon Guardians kill Hiyo, the heroes attack them in anger. Meanwhile, the Dragon Riders continue their conquering, but discover the Rare Hunters have been struggling for control as well. The Dragon Riders then head off to Abrondis - Sea Level.
203 "Friends Until the End" December 21, 2009 March 10, 2012
The heroes manage to overwhelm the Dragon Guardians, once Ginta becomes possessed. After defeating the Dragon Guardians, Laxus and Saharu carry Ginta into the cave. Saharu notice a thick fog surrounding them, asking if it's natural. When they arrive at the Cave of Wonders, they find several Rare Hunters gathered. The Rare Hunters chase the heroes to the end of the Cave. Ginta awakens to find the inscriptions match the same ones on his Sacred Mark. The Rare Hunters enter, and they send Rare Hunter Hugo to fight. Saharu blocks with a wall of fire. He then kicks Hugo to the Rare Hunters. Gekka catches up to the heroes, preparing to kill them. When the heroes escape, the Dragon Riders arrive to the scene. Voltaire contacts Kai, telling him to conquer the land surrounding Abrondis. things take a turn for the worse when they encounter Rare Hunter Koga, and his squad. Laxus engages Koga in battle, which is interrrupted when Kai and Antioch show up!
204 "Darkness Appears: Ryuga Approaches!" January 4, 2010 March 13,2012
Ginta asks how Kai and Antioch found them. Antioch replies that they can lock on their Youki with their Reiki senses. As Gekka arrives, she is shocked to see that the Dragon Riders are present as well. Kagone says they have ravaged Abrondis, Golden Gate, Lionsgate, Jalai, Moriku, Yoriyoko and started on Serisu. Laxus prepares to fight Kai, but Kai considers him an insect. Koga and his squad decide to eliminate Kai, but are all easily defeated. Saharu tells Ginta and Laxus that Kai was the one he encountered in the desert. Kai creates a huge wave, destroying most of the pathway and Rare Hunters. When the heroes escape, Kai catches up to them. He prepares to kill them, but is interrupted when Rare Hunter Osai demands the lives of the four. As Kai grows an evil glare, Amon tells him that his grandfather wouldn't approve. Kai replies that he has no care for his grandfather's wishes. The heroes all split up, entering their own section within Abrondis - Sea Level. With all of the commotion, Rare Hunter Osai finds his chance to murder Ginta!!
205 "The Evil Beneath: Go For It, Laxus!" January 11, 2010
Laxus finds the remaining prisoners, setting them all free. He and Kairi recover a comatose Ginta, wondering where Saharu is. As he leads the prisoners out, Saharu leads the Rare Hunters to the exit of the caverns, entering Serisu. They tell Saharu of their goal to revive Ryuga! When the Rare Hunters flee, Saharu witnesses the destruction caused by Draco. When Saharu confronts him, Draco says he'll thrash him with ease. Afterwards, the two continue their fight, with Saharu managing to take a slight edge. The Dragon Riders all return to Dragon's Den, where they are severely punished for the failure of conquering Abrondis. Meanwhile, Rose arrives in Gold Gate, determined to find her son.
206 "Enter the Shadows" January 18, 2010
Saharu's success against Draco causes the Dragon Rider to realize he is being bullied in combat the same way when he fought Kai. Angered, Draco thrashes Saharu, defeating him with a final assault. Draco refrains from killing Saharu when Ginta, Laxus and Kairi arrive. They decide to go find some place to heal, leaving the damaged village. Voltaire asserts his dominance by torturing Kai, Dew, and Draco. Afterwards, he begins corrupting thousands of citizens, using them as his army of mind-slaves. Meanwhile, the heroes make their way into Youken Town. When they enter a market, they are surprised to find Masai working there. As the heroes discuss the recent events with Masai, Ginta asks him to help them on their quest to stop the Dragon Riders. Hesitant, Masai prepares to refuse. A moment later, Laxus notices that they are being watched by two Rare Hunters. Masai decides to take care of them, confronting their stalkers.
207 "Kozaki's Demise: Heart of a Warrior" January 25, 2010
Masai prepares to refuse Ginta's request, but overthinks the conversation he had with Calypso. Masai agrees to help Ginta and his friends stop the Dragon Riders. Meanwhile, Voltaire has the Dragon Riders accomplish Project: Demolition, or else he'll have the Seven Swordsmen finish the job. As the Dragon Riders take off, Kai swears to kill Voltaire. Each of the Dragon Riders take their own sections to conquer, determined not to fail. The heroes sense the Dragon Riders attacking Serisu Village. As they make their way there, they encounter Drazen. After Drazen burns Masai and Kairi, Ginta's anger ascends. While Laxus takes the two to a hospital, Saharu tries to save the people. Ginta and Drazen engage in their fight, fighting each other throughout Serisu. Meanwhile, Kai realizes the fight for Project: Demolition has started. Dratini gets worried, but both Antioch and Kagone mock her, causing Kai to yell at them. As Dratini blushes, Kai walks off, curious about Ginta's potential.
208 "Approaching the Finals" February 1, 2010
Ginta and Drazen's battle causes their auras to eclipse Serisu. After Drazen trounces Ginta, Saharu steps in to help him. Ginta awakens, entering his Initial Dragoon form. Shocked, Drazen's Youki is equal to Ginta's, causing him to trounce Ginta. Weakened, Dark Ginta surfaces, torments Drazen. Afterwards, Ginta regains control, killing Drazen with a new technique. Calypso arrives, taking  to an inn, Calypso says that she has been watching Ginta's progress. Masai asks her if she knows the outcome of this battle against the Dragon Riders. She says she does, but cannot say. She tells Yugi that together with the people he is surrounded by, he can succeed. Kai finds out about Drazen's death, enraged. As the Dragon Riders are on their way to Serisu, the heroes all decide to get some training done in preparation for their arrival. While Voltaire is torturing Dew, Rose is in hot pursuit of the heroes!
209 "Who Against Who?" February 8, 2010
While Ginta and Masai train on Willow Mountain, the others train in an indoor training facility. Ginta and Masai have a brief fight, but Ginta is easily defeated. Masai explains to Ginta the concept of Elements, Reiki, and Youki. Afterwards, he tells Ginta a little about his own past. Shocked, Ginta reveals pieces of his own past. Meanwhile, as the Dragon Riders near closer to Serisu, Laxus, Saharu and Kairi train hard. They begin learning new techniques, even advancing to a new stage. Masai has Ginta train to fight with all of his Spirit Points blocked off and disabled. Ginta struggles to overcome Masai's training, realizing that Masai must have trained extremely hard from a young age. After completing his first of two tests, Ginta then must overcome the growing darkness within his spirit.
210 "Let the Finals Begin!" February 15, 2010 

Masai tells Ginta about Healing Factors, explaining how they work. Meanwhile, Laxus, Saharu and Kairi notice an explosion ignite in the city. As the Dragon Riders search for Ginta, they run into Laxus, Saharu and Kairi. Antioch asks for Gintas whereabouts, but Saharu claims they don't know. Kagone disagrees with that, hurling a lamp post at them. While Kai heads to Soulilette Pathway, he has the rest of the Dragon Riders begin conquering Irin. Laxus and the others charge, but Antioch knocks them back to the pavement. While the three heroes engage the Dragon Riders in combat, they begin wondering if their training wasn't enough to surpass them. Rose continues her search for Ginta, realizing that he could be in trouble. Ginta continues his intense training with Masai, determined to defeat Kai and the Dragon Riders. Calypso watches everything from afar, excited about the events that are about to transpire.

211 "Freeze Play" February 22, 2010
With Yugi and Masai's training still going on, the heroes continue their struggle against the Dragon Riders. Meanwhile, Kai heads to the Mystic Springs, where he reflects on his past. His past causes his inner anger to build up within himself, further increasing the hatred he has for his grandfather. The Dragon Riders continue their conquering, determined to realize Voltaire's vision. The heroes discover how outclassed they are, unable to defeat the Dragon Riders. However, Laxus continues his struggle against Antioch, but discovers the weakness of his element first hand. Voltaire continues corrupting more people, having them destroy several villages and murder other individuals. Before Kairi and Saharu are killed, Ginta and Masai arrive to save them!
212 "Lightning Storm: Power Loss!" March 1, 2010
Antioch laughs at Laxus, telling him to die as he strikes Laxus into the ground. After struggling further, Laxus manages to find a way to overcome Antioch's power. His Glaring Zapas form manages to help him defeat the Dragon Rider. After Masai helps an exhausted Saharu, he prepares to defeat Kagone. Masai's bold confidence angers Kagone. Masai's evasive fighting causes Kagone to lose his focus, allowing Masai to strike his Sacred Mark. Meanwhile, Ginta easily dodges Dratini's attacks, asking her what is satisfying as a Dragon Rider. Shocked, Dratini looks back on her past as a Dragon Rider...
213 "Dark Spirit Within: Pieces of the Past" March 8, 2010
Kai's hatred for his grandfather intensifies as he is reminded more and more of his past. He heads back to Dragon's Den, where he encounters Voltaire. Voltaire tells him the hope of his dreams all rides on Kai. He asks Kai if he cannot live to create a perfect future for himself, is there any worth in a future that means so little. Afterwards, Voltaire tells Kai to begone from his sight, having no use for him at the moment. Meanwhile, Masai hammers Kagone with a special attack, shutting his Sacred Mark down. Ginta withstands all of Dratini's attacks, defeating her with one strike to the gut. When Ginta and Masai give Kairi and Saharu a healing herb, they set out to meet up with one another. Ginta and Kairi make their way to the center of Serisu, where they meet Laxus, Masai and Saharu.
214 "A Fight Against Destiny" March 15, 2010
Rose enters Moriku, encountering Slayer, Bauraki and Rukia. Meanwhile, Ginta claims that to defeat the Dragon Riders, they'll have to split up. Kairi asks why would that be ideal, and Ginta says that staying together makes them an easier target. When everyone takes off, Calypso stops Ginta, telling him that he is not at a level where he can fight Kai. Calypso takes Yugi to a secluded place called the Unknown. She states that Masai's training brought his Youki to its maximum at this point, but he isn't skilled enough to keep up with Kai. Ginta accepts Calypso's training, developing his physical strengths, mental resistance, and skill in combat. Meanwhile, Bauraki has Slayer and Rukia continue on while he fights Rose. Rose's battle with Bauraki takes a turn for the worse when he uses his overwhelming strength to overpower her. Laxus, Saharu, and Kairi travel to different parts of Irin. While Saharu enters Jalai, Kairi encounters Rukia in Yoriyoko. When the two engage in battle, Rukia uses her superior element to dominate Kairi.
215 "The Almighty Part VI" March 22, 2010
Rukia's elemental advantage begins to take its toll on Kairi. Despite this, Kairi manages to outwit Rukia, forcing her to reveal her Flame Orb! Although Kairi is at the brink of defeat, she manages to drown Rukia by accessing the water from the underground pipes. Rose gets a stroke of luck when she manages to force Bauraki into using his Water Element. She manages to use that to increase her Element, ultimately leading to Bauraki's defeat. While Ginta continues his training with Calypso, she helps him develop a new technique. Mirou informs Voltaire of the deaths of Bauraki and Rukia, angering him. He prepares to have the Seven Swordsmen complete Project: Demolition. However, he is reminded of the Elemental War. Meanwhile, Saharu senses a dark Youki within Jalai, tracking it down to the east of the village. He is horrified to find the entire section of the village burned to a crisp. Slayer emerges from the flames, telling Saharu he'll make sure to defeat him.
216 "Dorsil of Approval" March 29, 2010
Saharu takes an early lead in his fight with Slayer, displaying immense skill as a swordsman. As Saharu continues his fight with Slayer, the Dragon Riders continue Project: Demolition. Laxus continues his journey to find Kai, determined to put an end to the Dragon Riders. Rose and Kairi run into each other, shocked that the other defeated a Dragon Rider. They decide to travel together, heading for Kirinsu. Meanwhile, Saharu and Slayer continue their brawl, destroying several sections of Jalai. Slayer tells Saharu of the Dragon Riders cause, asking him if he truly understands their way of thinking. Saharu insults the Dragon Riders, angering Slayer. Slayer strikes Saharu into an exploding building, laughing at Saharu's death.
217 "Envoy of the End: Unleash the Carnage!" April 12, 2010
Slayer prepares to complete his job, but is frozen in fear when Saharu emerges from the flames. Slayer enters a new form, ensuring Saharu's defeat. As a result, Slayer thrashes Saharu, preparing to defeat him for good. Saharu withstands Slayer's attacks, countering his final assault with his newly developed ability. Afterwards, he incinerates Slayer, winning the fight. Meanwhile, Voltaire discusses the future of the world with Mirou and the Seven Swordsmen. He mentions how the world will be recreated in his image. In Kirinsu, Rose and Kairi discover the city flooded. They venture throughout the city, saving several people in the process. Eventually, they come face-to-face with Gekka, who prepares to drown Rose and Kairi!
218 "Blind Anger: Burori's Trump Card" April 19, 2010
Gekka dares Kairi to attack her, looking for some action. Kairi swears on her friends' lives that she'll defeat her. The two fight in the central of the city, where there's more water. Gekka tricks Kairi, trapping her within a vortex. With Kairi slowly dying, Rose prepares to help her. As Ginta continues his training, he senses that his friends are in trouble. Masai makes his way to Kirinsu, sensing Kairi's Youki decreasing. Rose tries to save Kairi, but Gekka uses the surrounding water to create a barricade to stop her. Kairi uses this opportunity to escape, managing to make a comeback. However, the comeback is shortlived when Gekka nearly strips all of the water from Kairi's body. Before Gekka can lay the final blow on Kairi, she is saved by Masai. Masai gives Kairi to Rose, ordering her to take Kairi to a hospital.
219 "Awakening of Evil" April 26, 2010
After Rose departs from Kirinsu, Masai has a brief scuffle with Gekka. She then traps him within an illusion, giving him only 10 minutes to escape with his life! Voltaire has all of his soldiers enter all of the conquered villages and enslave the people. As the soldiers file out, Voltaire awaits the completion of Project: Demolition. With only 8 minutes, Masai struggles to figure out where the exit to the Water Tower is. Gekka manages to use her ability to manipulate water further complicate Masai's task. Masai realizes that Gekka is no average opponent, formulating a plan to escape the water tower and defeat Gekka at the same time. Ginta continues his intense training with Calypso, struggling to master a new technique.
220 "Full Throttle Ablaze: Flames of Rage!!" May 3, 2010
Impressed by Masai's intelligence, Gekka increases the speed of the flood. Masai struggles to find an exit, stop the flood, and defeat Gekka at the same time. Despite this, he manages to hold his own in combat against her. When the water begins to rise above Masai, he devises a plan to defeat Gekka, and win her game. Rose searches for a hospital, hoping Kairi will live. With 4 minutes left, Masai uses his Reiki to burst out of the mist, swimming to the nearest platform. With the flood increasing, Masai observes the water tower, easily detecting the weakness within Gekka's illusion. Masai states that to win, he must summon a Spirit Beast as the key to his victory. However, it can't be his own Spirit Beast!!
221 "Thousand to Infinity: Strive for Victory" May 10, 2010
Gekka turns all of Geyser Tower into a swirling whirlpool. Masai engages Gekka in combat once again, using his Reiki to maintain a constant flow of balance. With the water almost filled up, Masai pretends to drop dead, allowing Gekka to believe she had won. Meanwhile, Saharu decides to go find Laxus or Kairi, searching Sitoko to find them. He runs into a mysterious person, noticing the isolation in his eyes. Gekka prepares to release the water tower, shocked when Masai's attack cripples her. Subdued, Gekka involuntarily summons her Spirit Beast, destroying the illusion of the tower. Masai explains to Gekka that he needed to take a few hits so that he could eliminate all of her options. After Gekka faints, Masai sends all of the water to the Yebaya Ocean. When he looks up into the sky, Masai wonders if he'll ever get a decent challenge.
222 "Defeated" May 17, 2010
Saharu asks the boy what is wrong, shocked when it turns out to be Amon. Amon tells Saharu of his desire to please Voltaire, explaining his past as an orphan. Saharu tells Amon that he makes him sick, attacking him. As a result, Amon loses an arm. After Amon gains his arm back, he warns Saharu of the consequence if he should fail to cut his arm off a second time. Saharu attempts to do so, but is put down with one hit. Meanwhile, the dragon soldiers continue enslaving the people, causing Rose and Kairi to take refuge in an abandoned warehouse. Laxus arrives at Soulilette Pathway, realizing that Kai must be somewhere up ahead. When he continues on, he is attacked by the Dragon Twins. Laxus manages to easily defeat them, eventually arriving at Mystic Springs. Once there, he confronts Kai, challenging him to a fight.

Laxus calls Kai heartless for murdering and enslaving people for his own amusement. When the fight begins, Laxus uses his speed and Element to his advantage. Despite his superior speed, Laxus finds himself utterly outclassed by Kai. Laxus wonders if he has a chance at defeating Kai, tempted to give up. As Laxus continues a hopeless battle against Kai, Calypso begins training Ginta's mind, as well as unlocking the seal to his bond with Dragoon. Calypso tells Ginta more of his ancient past, telling him of the importance of his success. Shocked, Ginta wonders what chance does he have against Kai. Laxus manages to catch Kai in his attack, but freezes in fear upon realizing that Kai has only been toying with him so far...
224 "Soul of Darkness: Valkyrian, Awaken!" May 31, 2010
Laxus pushes himself to the next stage, overwhelming Kai with his massive speed. Kai struggles to keep up with Laxus, as his speed is 3x faster than his own. The Draco and Amon meet up near Soulilette Pathway, shocked that most of them have been eliminated. Draco decides to go tell Kai the news, while Amon senses a person approaching. Laxus' comeback ends abruptly when Kai enters his first stage, dominating the fight. Laxus realizes that Masai would have had a better chance at winning. With Laxus out of options, he attacks Kai with one final assault. The attack fails, due to Kai's perfect defense. Afterwards, Kai trounces Laxus ferociously. He then activates his Devil's Eye, stealing Laxus' soul!!
225 "Ryuga's Game: True Darkness" June 7, 2010
Ginta senses a disturbance, realizing something bad had happened. At Mystic Springs, Kai's inner hatred for his past builds up. He causes several villages to shake, flooding several villages. When Draco arrives, he confronts Kai about his relationship with Voltaire. Kai threatens to kill Draco, provoking Draco to lash out at him. Kai thrashes Draco, telling him to go back to Dragon's Den. Meanwhile, Rose manages to find Soulilette Pathway, encountering Amon. Amon questions Rose's motives, warning her to fight for her life. Amon easily overwhelms Rose, expressing his sorrow in his attacks. Rose notices Amon's depression, asking him what could be troubling him. Shocked, Amon tells Rose of his past as an orphan, as well as revealing his only reason for living.
226 "So Close Yet So Far" June 21, 2010
Amon asks Rose how would she feel if she tried so hard to be of some use to the one she cares about the most, but end up only feeling trapped in the shadow of another. Amon's sadness forces him to transform, preparing to take Rose's life. Rose reveals her special abilities, managing to counter the attack. With Rose struggling for her life, she manages to use Amon's emotions to her advantage, winning the fight. When Amon retreats back to Dragon's Den, Masai arrives. Rose tells him she couldn't find a hospital, handing Kairi over to Masai, who is also carrying Saharu. Rose takes off to find Ginta, telling Masai to make sure that Saharu and Kairi get better. When Rose encounters Kai, Ginta completes his training with Calypso. He takes off, tracking down Kai's Youki. Kai uses his Devil's Eye to torture Rose. A moment later, Ginta arrives, horrified by what he sees...
227 "Eruption of Power" June 28, 2010
Kai shows Ginta Laxus's soulless body, and his weakened mother, angering him. Calypso stops Ginta from attacking Kai, telling him to stay focused. Calypso takes care of Rose, and Laxus' body, impressed at how far Ginta's come in such a short time. Kai gives Ginta the chance to backdown, but he refuses. When the fight begins, Kai has a clear advantage, due to the environment, and the storm. Kai seemingly obliterates Ginta with a special attack. As a result, he insults Ginta for the subpar challenge. Ginta manages to make a counterattack, striking Kai to the Tower of Sanctuary. At the peak of the tower, the two trade each other blow for blow. After Kai knocks Ginta off, Ginta unleashes another counter barrage, sending Kai straight down into the water.
228 "Step into the Glory!" July 5, 2010
Ginta struggles to detect Kai's Reiki, wondering if he camouflaged with the water. Calypso tells Rose that Ginta is fighting in Kai's domain. Kai emerges from the water as a giant wave, consuming Ginta. Ginta however uses his Wind element to help him escape. Impressed, Kai tells Ginta of the origins of the Tower of Sanctuary, and Mystic Springs. Afterwards, he transforms, telling Ginta that the fight will only get tougher from this point on. When the fight continues, Ginta is getting pummeled by Kai's to no end. As Ginta struggles to fight Kai, a dark force tries to take his body over. After being launched into the water, Ginta emerges in his full transformed state. He and Kai fight evenly, clashing with the power of their elements. As a result, they destroy parts of Mystic Springs, as well as several bordering towns. Ginta then thrashes Kai, causing him to wonder how could Ginta be his superior. When Kai gets up, transforms once again, ensuring Ginta's defeat!
229 "A Fight Against the Shadows" July 12, 2010
Kai wrecks Ginta, unleashing the full extent of his water abilities. Afterwards, Kai creates a huge hurricane. Masai and Kairi look outside through a window, realizing that this fight is far crazier than they had thought. Saharu awakens, asking them to take him to their battle.  Kai unleashes his most powerful attack, destroying several villages and murdering millions of people. Unable to escape, Ginta fades into the tsunami. When the waves calm down, Ginta is nowhere to be seen. Kai smiles, knowing Ginta couldn't have escaped the wave. Calypso however tells herself that Ginta avoided the heart of the attack, but he is in critical condition. At Dragon's Den, Voltaire punishes the Dragon Riders and Dew. He tells them that once Kai finishes up his business, he will send out the Seven Swordsmen to finish everything. Meanwhile, Kai jumps back on the cliff, smiling evilly at his victory.
230 "Trade of Evil: The End to it All!" July 19, 2010
Kai stops smiling when he sees Ginta  limping towards him. He asks how Ginta survived his attack, shocked when Ginta destroys the cliff. Angered, Kai trounces Ginta relentlessly. Ginta is ready to give in, but remembers the reason he must win. Kai prepares to kill Ginta, but he tanks the hit, shocking Kai. Ginta walks toward Kai, no longer able to suppress his dark force. Kai punches him, but Ginta grabs his fist. Masai realizes the destruction Ginta and Kai are causing, wondering if anybody is safe. Saharu manages to convince Masai and Kairi to take him to the battlefield. Ginta reaches his breakpoint, entering another transformation! He dominates Kai, using his dark powers, as well as several different elements to assault Kai, presumably destroying him!
231 "Darkness vs. Darkness" July 26, 2010

Rose wonders how Ginta got that powerful. Calypso states that Ginta is subconsciously isolating the possession from his heart, allowing him to keep control. When Kai reappears, he strikes Ginta at his Sacred Mark, injuring him. Angered, Ginta unleashes his newest technique on Kai's Sacred Mark, ripping through Kai's Sacred Mark. Kai suffers major damage, cursing Ginta. As a result, he summons his Spirit Beast, taking control of the fight once again. Ginta summons his Spirit Beast, leveling the playing field. Ginta and Kai savagely thrash the other, leaving the whole area in ruins. Afterwards, Ginta and Kai are on the ground, exhausted from their battle. When Ginta's friends arrive, they are shocked by Laxus' soulless body. Ginta forces himself to his feet, claiming victory. Kai's loss traps him in a frozen state of realization, shattering the resolve to his mind. As a result, Laxus' life is restored to him.

232 "Symbol of Darkness" August 2, 2010
Laxus hugs Ginta, thanking him for saving him and defeating Kai. Laxus tells Ginta Kai's fate is in his hands, asking him what will he do. Ginta has Calypso heal Kai, much to everyone's shock. Calypso does so, explaining that she has been studying the five of them. Kai denies the offer, shaken from his loss, and realization of his weakness. Calypso brings up his grandfather, mentioning how he wants to be free from his control. Kai reluctantly agrees, going to the Tower of Sanctuary to reflect on his life. Calypso tells the Chi Warriors to head to Gatokage in one month. Calypso says that there's one more thing to be taken cared of. A moment later, Calypso and Ginta vanish, shocking the heroes. At Dragon's Den, Voltaire's anger erupts, preparing to unleash the Seven Swordsmen. However, Mirou tells him to worry about the people trespassing within Dragon's Den. Shocked, Voltaire has the Dragon Riders take care of the intruders!!
233 "The Darkness Returns" August 9, 2010
Ginta and Calypso travel through Dragon's Den, preparing to confront Voltaire. Kai realizes where Ginta headed off to, taking off after him. Ginta and Calypso encounter the Dragon Riders, easily bypassing them. Afterwards, they confront Voltaire, who displays his massive power. When Kai arrives, he is shocked to find Ginta challenging Voltaire. Calypso tells Ginta Voltaire isn't an opponent he can take on, using her powers to trap Voltaire's mind in a trance. Calypso tells Kai the importance Ginta will have in his life, warning him not to get crossed up with Voltaire ever again. A moment later, Calypso vanishes. Ginta then departs from Dragon's Den, returning home. Once there, he begins training for one month, in preparation for his next adventure.

In Wanska Village, Ginta Typhoon practices martial arts with his mother, Rose. When they're met by Calypso, Ginta does battle against her. Calypso tells Ginta of his Sacred Mark trying to surface for years. She explains that he needs to save this world from darkness and be one with his Spirit Beast. She tells him that he'll learn more about the pieces to his past from this. When Ginta heads off, Calypso wishes the Pharaoh luck.

Ginta enters Golden Gate, where he meets Laxus. Laxus tells him he has been studying for their upcoming exams. Ginta tells Laxus of his journey, asking him to join his crusade. Hesitant, Laxus looks back on the previous adventures he had with Ginta. He accepts Ginta's offer, stating that he'll get to continue his journey as well. The two travel through Golden Gate, but are stopped by the clerk. The clerk has them go retrieve a box of milk before they can enter the city. At Dragon's Den, Ryuzaiga "Voltaire" Szasazu has the Dragon Riders test their abilities against the test dummies. Voltaire prepares Kai for Project: Demolition! Draco and Tragoedia express their jealousy towards Kai, as Voltaire only seems to care about him. Voltaire explains that they will begin by conquering smaller villages and towns, and then work their way up. When the Dragon Riders take off, Kai curses his grandfather under his breath.

Ginta and Laxus retrieve the milk for the clerk. The duo head for the center of the city, determined to find the cause of the uproar. When Ginta and Laxus arrive, Ginta tells Lorca to stop terrorizing people. Lorca punches him in the face, knocking him to the ground. Laxus helps Ginta up, challenging Lorca himself. Ginta tells him he'll take care of Lorca. Ginta finds it hard to keep up with Lorca, as he displays superior wind manipulation than him. Lorca tortures Ginta, melting his skin with the Flame Elixir. As a result, Ginta is possessed, entering the Distortion World. Ginta tortures Lorca, forcing him to reveal his plan. Ginta drops Lorca as he claims the Cold One is watching. Lorca struggles to laugh, cursing Ginta as he drops dead. Ginta and Laxus reach the desert, realizing they'll need help. Meanwhile, Kai makes his way to Diablo Desert, where he encounters the Desert Bandits...

While Kai exits Diablo Desert, the Dragon Riders continue Project: Demolition. Ginta and Laxus walk through the scorching hot desert, struggling to find a way out. They eventually come across the Desert Bandits, asking for their help. After Ginta explains the situation, Saharu and Kairi agree to help the duo. As they take off, Saharu tells Ginta he has been training to defeat him. Eventually, they arrive at Abrondis. Ginta wonders why is it so big, and Kairi replies that it is several masses formed together. Meanwhile, the Dragon Riders continue their path of destruction and conquest!
245 "Darkness of the Kaiser Family" November 9, 2009
When the heroes enter Abrondis, they explore the city on their own. Afterwards, Kairi asks where Ginta is, causing the heroes to look for him. During an inspection, Kai discovers Lorca has been killed. Angered, the Dragon Riders decide to search for Lorca's killer. When the Dragon Riders enter Abrondis, they search throughout Okoto for Lorca's killer. They manage to find out that a boy named Ginta was responsible. Voltaire discusses with Mirou over the history of the Dragon Riders. Meanwhile, Ginta admires the aspects of Abrondis. Eventually, Ginta ends up in an alley, where he comes face-to-face with the Dragon Riders!
246 "The True Semi-Finals" November 16, 2009
The Dragon Riders believe Ginta to be someone else, but Kai knows that Ginta is the boy who killed Lorca. Kai asks him if he knows who Lorca is, and the latter says that hee beat him at Golden Gate. The Dragon Riders lunge at Ginta, but Kai stops them. Kai tells Ginta about the Dragon Riders. The heroes finds Ginta, planning to attack. Kai senses the presence of Ginta's friends, tempted to fight them. Kai tells Ginta that they'll have their fight soon enough. As the Dragon Riders leave, Ginta is met by his friends. Saharu says that he ran into one in the desert, stating that he was known as the Cold One. When the heroes head to an inn, they are being carefully watched by a mysterious group.
247 "Showdown in the Shadows" November 23, 2009
When Saharu awakens, he discovers his blade had been stolen. He awakens Ginta, and the two go out looking for it. They find a kid who reveals to have it, who challenges Saharu for it. When morning comes, Saharu finds the kid in a ring. The kid reveals his name is Rigel, and that Saharu will have to win his blade back from him in a caged match. When their match is about to begin, several villagers gather around. Saharu dominates the battle, realizing Rigel is a novice. He walks off, but is caught in Rigel's trap. After Rigel mocks Saharu, Saharu activates his Sacred Mark, breaking free from Rigel's trap. Saharu uses Volcano Emission, destroying the whole cage. After Saharu takes his blade back, Rigel pouts. Laxus explains that nobody always wins. Ginta agrees, promising to spar with him someday. Excited, Rigel goes home, vowing to get stronger to beat Ginta and Saharu. A moment later, a group of hunters kidnap Kairi. Shocked, the three boys go chasing after the hunters!!
248 "Light vs. Dark: The Two Faces of Ryuga!" November 30, 2009
Unable to track down the hunters, the trio head back to the inn. However, a hunter detects them, following the heroes. Back at the inn, the boys think of a reason why Kairi could have been kidnapped. The maid knocks on their door, asking if they want tea. As huge gust of wind blows from outside, Laxus steps outside, while Saharu saves the maid. Laxus encounters a hunter, asking where he took Kairi. The hunter says Laxus will have to beat him to get that answer. The hunter reveals himself as Merenge, and the Rare Hunters are a secret organization set out to obtain the peace in the world. He says females generally have stronger Spirit Beasts than males. While Laxus continues his battle with Merenge, Ginta notices his eyes reacting to his anger. Saharu's horrors flood his mind as the Rare Hunters have surfaced again. Laxus manages to kill Merenge, wondering how will they find Kairi now. Two more Rare Hunters arrive, making a deal with the heroes. Ginta and Laxus tag team Rare Hunter Oori and Rare Hunter Gori, but quickly realize how powerful the two are in comparison to them.
249 "Lost in the Shadows" December 7, 2009
Ginta and Laxus continue their battle with Rare Hunters Oori and Gori. The two begin taking control of the battle when they start fighting as one. They eventually defeat the Rare Hunters by combining their Elements. The Rare Hunters explain their true goal. Laxus asks if they are working with the Dragon Riders, but they say that their goal is to rid the world of the Dragon Riders Organization.  Oori says Kairi is in a cell within Abrondis - Sea Level. As the heroes leave, both Oori and Gori laugh, knowing that they will never save her. Voltaire is informed by Mirou of the return of the Rare Hunters. He then orders the Dragon Riders to shift their major focus around Abrondis. The heroes search for Abrondis - Sea Level, asking several people for help. When all hope seems lost, Laxus and Saharu wonder if Ginta had more luck. Ginta meets Hiyo, who tells him the location of Abrondis - Sea Level. As Ginta leaves, Hiyo smiles evilly, contacting Gekka. When Ginta finds Laxus and Saharu, they set out to save Kairi.
250 "The Night Before" December 14, 2009 March 4, 2012
When the heroes arrive at Abrondis - Sea Level, they notice how mysterious it is. Ginta points to the gate to enter. When they reach it, Gekka arrives with Hiyo, preparing to kill the trio. Ginta explains why they need to get inside, but Gekka and Hiyo taunt him. When Hiyo attacks Ginta, he explains he was leading him on. Angered, Ginta breaks Hiyo's arm, causing him to scream in pain. As Hiyo begs for mercy, the Dragon Guardians appear, allowing Gekka to advance. As she goes off, the heroes prepare to fight. After one of the Dragon Guardians kill Hiyo, the heroes attack them in anger. Meanwhile, the Dragon Riders continue their conquering, but discover the Rare Hunters have been struggling for control as well. The Dragon Riders then head off to Abrondis - Sea Level.
251 "The Final Face-Off" December 21, 2009 March 10, 2012
The heroes manage to overwhelm the Dragon Guardians, once Ginta becomes possessed. After defeating the Dragon Guardians, Laxus and Saharu carry Ginta into the cave. Saharu notice a thick fog surrounding them, asking if it's natural. When they arrive at the Cave of Wonders, they find several Rare Hunters gathered. The Rare Hunters chase the heroes to the end of the Cave. Ginta awakens to find the inscriptions match the same ones on his Sacred Mark. The Rare Hunters enter, and they send Rare Hunter Hugo to fight. Saharu blocks with a wall of fire. He then kicks Hugo to the Rare Hunters. Gekka catches up to the heroes, preparing to kill them. When the heroes escape, the Dragon Riders arrive to the scene. Voltaire contacts Kai, telling him to conquer the land surrounding Abrondis. things take a turn for the worse when they encounter Rare Hunter Koga, and his squad. Laxus engages Koga in battle, which is interrrupted when Kai and Antioch show up!
252 "The Immortal Wall: Power of Two Gods!!" January 4, 2010 March 13,2012
Ginta asks how Kai and Antioch found them. Antioch replies that they can lock on their Youki with their Reiki senses. As Gekka arrives, she is shocked to see that the Dragon Riders are present as well. Kagone says they have ravaged Abrondis, Golden Gate, Lionsgate, Jalai, Moriku, Yoriyoko and started on Serisu. Laxus prepares to fight Kai, but Kai considers him an insect. Koga and his squad decide to eliminate Kai, but are all easily defeated. Saharu tells Ginta and Laxus that Kai was the one he encountered in the desert. Kai creates a huge wave, destroying most of the pathway and Rare Hunters. When the heroes escape, Kai catches up to them. He prepares to kill them, but is interrupted when Rare Hunter Osai demands the lives of the four. As Kai grows an evil glare, Amon tells him that his grandfather wouldn't approve. Kai replies that he has no care for his grandfather's wishes. The heroes all split up, entering their own section within Abrondis - Sea Level. With all of the commotion, Rare Hunter Osai finds his chance to murder Ginta!!
253 "Enter Ginta" January 11, 2010
Laxus finds the remaining prisoners, setting them all free. He and Kairi recover a comatose Ginta, wondering where Saharu is. As he leads the prisoners out, Saharu leads the Rare Hunters to the exit of the caverns, entering Serisu. They tell Saharu of their goal to revive Ryuga! When the Rare Hunters flee, Saharu witnesses the destruction caused by Draco. When Saharu confronts him, Draco says he'll thrash him with ease. Afterwards, the two continue their fight, with Saharu managing to take a slight edge. The Dragon Riders all return to Dragon's Den, where they are severely punished for the failure of conquering Abrondis. Meanwhile, Rose arrives in Gold Gate, determined to find her son.
254 "A God's Fight!!" January 18, 2010
Saharu's success against Draco causes the Dragon Rider to realize he is being bullied in combat the same way when he fought Kai. Angered, Draco thrashes Saharu, defeating him with a final assault. Draco refrains from killing Saharu when Ginta, Laxus and Kairi arrive. They decide to go find some place to heal, leaving the damaged village. Voltaire asserts his dominance by torturing Kai, Dew, and Draco. Afterwards, he begins corrupting thousands of citizens, using them as his army of mind-slaves. Meanwhile, the heroes make their way into Youken Town. When they enter a market, they are surprised to find Masai working there. As the heroes discuss the recent events with Masai, Ginta asks him to help them on their quest to stop the Dragon Riders. Hesitant, Masai prepares to refuse. A moment later, Laxus notices that they are being watched by two Rare Hunters. Masai decides to take care of them, confronting their stalkers.
255 "Absolute Power" January 25, 2010
Masai prepares to refuse Ginta's request, but overthinks the conversation he had with Calypso. Masai agrees to help Ginta and his friends stop the Dragon Riders. Meanwhile, Voltaire has the Dragon Riders accomplish Project: Demolition, or else he'll have the Seven Swordsmen finish the job. As the Dragon Riders take off, Kai swears to kill Voltaire. Each of the Dragon Riders take their own sections to conquer, determined not to fail. The heroes sense the Dragon Riders attacking Serisu Village. As they make their way there, they encounter Drazen. After Drazen burns Masai and Kairi, Ginta's anger ascends. While Laxus takes the two to a hospital, Saharu tries to save the people. Ginta and Drazen engage in their fight, fighting each other throughout Serisu. Meanwhile, Kai realizes the fight for Project: Demolition has started. Dratini gets worried, but both Antioch and Kagone mock her, causing Kai to yell at them. As Dratini blushes, Kai walks off, curious about Ginta's potential.
256 "The Showdown" February 1, 2010
Ginta and Drazen's battle causes their auras to eclipse Serisu. After Drazen trounces Ginta, Saharu steps in to help him. Ginta awakens, entering his Initial Dragoon form. Shocked, Drazen's Youki is equal to Ginta's, causing him to trounce Ginta. Weakened, Dark Ginta surfaces, torments Drazen. Afterwards, Ginta regains control, killing Drazen with a new technique. Calypso arrives, taking  to an inn, Calypso says that she has been watching Ginta's progress. Masai asks her if she knows the outcome of this battle against the Dragon Riders. She says she does, but cannot say. She tells Yugi that together with the people he is surrounded by, he can succeed. Kai finds out about Drazen's death, enraged. As the Dragon Riders are on their way to Serisu, the heroes all decide to get some training done in preparation for their arrival. While Voltaire is torturing Dew, Rose is in hot pursuit of the heroes!
257 "Pathos of Ryuga" February 8, 2010
While Ginta and Masai train on Willow Mountain, the others train in an indoor training facility. Ginta and Masai have a brief fight, but Ginta is easily defeated. Masai explains to Ginta the concept of Elements, Reiki, and Youki. Afterwards, he tells Ginta a little about his own past. Shocked, Ginta reveals pieces of his own past. Meanwhile, as the Dragon Riders near closer to Serisu, Laxus, Saharu and Kairi train hard. They begin learning new techniques, even advancing to a new stage. Masai has Ginta train to fight with all of his Spirit Points blocked off and disabled. Ginta struggles to overcome Masai's training, realizing that Masai must have trained extremely hard from a young age. After completing his first of two tests, Ginta then must overcome the growing darkness within his spirit.
258 "Looking Back and Moving Ahead" February 15, 2010 

Masai tells Ginta about Healing Factors, explaining how they work. Meanwhile, Laxus, Saharu and Kairi notice an explosion ignite in the city. As the Dragon Riders search for Ginta, they run into Laxus, Saharu and Kairi. Antioch asks for Gintas whereabouts, but Saharu claims they don't know. Kagone disagrees with that, hurling a lamp post at them. While Kai heads to Soulilette Pathway, he has the rest of the Dragon Riders begin conquering Irin. Laxus and the others charge, but Antioch knocks them back to the pavement. While the three heroes engage the Dragon Riders in combat, they begin wondering if their training wasn't enough to surpass them. Rose continues her search for Ginta, realizing that he could be in trouble. Ginta continues his intense training with Masai, determined to defeat Kai and the Dragon Riders. Calypso watches everything from afar, excited about the events that are about to transpire.

With Yugi and Masai's training still going on, the heroes continue their struggle against the Dragon Riders. Meanwhile, Kai heads to the Mystic Springs, where he reflects on his past. His past causes his inner anger to build up within himself, further increasing the hatred he has for his grandfather. The Dragon Riders continue their conquering, determined to realize Voltaire's vision. The heroes discover how outclassed they are, unable to defeat the Dragon Riders. However, Laxus continues his struggle against Antioch, but discovers the weakness of his element first hand. Voltaire continues corrupting more people, having them destroy several villages and murder other individuals. Before Kairi and Saharu are killed, Ginta and Masai arrive to save them!

His Glaring Zapas form manages to help him defeat the Dragon Rider. After Masai helps an exhausted Saharu, he prepares to defeat Kagone. Masai's bold confidence angers Kagone. Masai's evasive fighting causes Kagone to lose his focus, allowing Masai to strike his Sacred Mark. Meanwhile, Ginta easily dodges Dratini's attacks, asking her what is satisfying as a Dragon Rider. Shocked, Dratini looks back on her past as a Dragon Rider...

Kai's hatred for his grandfather intensifies as he is reminded more and more of his past. He heads back to Dragon's Den, where he encounters Voltaire. Voltaire tells him the hope of his dreams all rides on Kai. He asks Kai if he cannot live to create a perfect future for himself, is there any worth in a future that means so little. Afterwards, Voltaire tells Kai to begone from his sight, having no use for him at the moment. Meanwhile, Masai hammers Kagone with a special attack, shutting his Sacred Mark down. Ginta withstands all of Dratini's attacks, defeating her with one strike to the gut. When Ginta and Masai give Kairi and Saharu a healing herb, they set out to meet up with one another. Ginta and Kairi make their way to the center of Serisu, where they meet Laxus, Masai and Saharu.

Rose enters Moriku, encountering Slayer, Bauraki and Rukia. Meanwhile, Ginta claims that to defeat the Dragon Riders, they'll have to split up. Kairi asks why would that be ideal, and Ginta says that staying together makes them an easier target. When everyone takes off, Calypso stops Ginta, telling him that he is not at a level where he can fight Kai. Calypso takes Yugi to a secluded place called the Unknown. She states that Masai's training brought his Youki to its maximum at this point, but he isn't skilled enough to keep up with Kai. Ginta accepts Calypso's training, developing his physical strengths, mental resistance, and skill in combat. Meanwhile, Bauraki has Slayer and Rukia continue on while he fights Rose. Rose's battle with Bauraki takes a turn for the worse when he uses his overwhelming strength to overpower her. Laxus, Saharu, and Kairi travel to different parts of Irin. While Saharu enters Jalai, Kairi encounters Rukia in Yoriyoko. When the two engage in battle, Rukia uses her superior element to dominate Kairi.

Rukia's elemental advantage begins to take its toll on Kairi. Despite this, Kairi manages to outwit Rukia, forcing her to reveal her Flame Orb! Although Kairi is at the brink of defeat, she manages to drown Rukia by accessing the water from the underground pipes. Rose gets a stroke of luck when she manages to force Bauraki into using his Water Element. She manages to use that to increase her Element, ultimately leading to Bauraki's defeat. While Ginta continues his training with Calypso, she helps him develop a new technique. Mirou informs Voltaire of the deaths of Bauraki and Rukia, angering him. He prepares to have the Seven Swordsmen complete Project: Demolition. However, he is reminded of the Elemental War. Meanwhile, Saharu senses a dark Youki within Jalai, tracking it down to the east of the village. He is horrified to find the entire section of the village burned to a crisp. Slayer emerges from the flames, telling Saharu he'll make sure to defeat him.

Saharu takes an early lead in his fight with Slayer, displaying immense skill as a swordsman. As Saharu continues his fight with Slayer, the Dragon Riders continue Project: Demolition. Laxus continues his journey to find Kai, determined to put an end to the Dragon Riders. Rose and Kairi run into each other, shocked that the other defeated a Dragon Rider. They decide to travel together, heading for Kirinsu. Meanwhile, Saharu and Slayer continue their brawl, destroying several sections of Jalai. Slayer tells Saharu of the Dragon Riders cause, asking him if he truly understands their way of thinking. Saharu insults the Dragon Riders, angering Slayer. Slayer strikes Saharu into an exploding building, laughing at Saharu's death.

Slayer prepares to complete his job, but is frozen in fear when Saharu emerges from the flames. Slayer enters a new form, ensuring Saharu's defeat. As a result, Slayer thrashes Saharu, preparing to defeat him for good. Saharu withstands Slayer's attacks, countering his final assault with his newly developed ability. Afterwards, he incinerates Slayer, winning the fight. Meanwhile, Voltaire discusses the future of the world with Mirou and the Seven Swordsmen. He mentions how the world will be recreated in his image. In Kirinsu, Rose and Kairi discover the city flooded. They venture throughout the city, saving several people in the process. Eventually, they come face-to-face with Gekka, who prepares to drown Rose and Kairi!

Gekka dares Kairi to attack her, looking for some action. Kairi swears on her friends' lives that she'll defeat her. The two fight in the central of the city, where there's more water. Gekka tricks Kairi, trapping her within a vortex. With Kairi slowly dying, Rose prepares to help her. As Ginta continues his training, he senses that his friends are in trouble. Masai makes his way to Kirinsu, sensing Kairi's Youki decreasing. Rose tries to save Kairi, but Gekka uses the surrounding water to create a barricade to stop her. Kairi uses this opportunity to escape, managing to make a comeback. However, the comeback is shortlived when Gekka nearly strips all of the water from Kairi's body. Before Gekka can lay the final blow on Kairi, she is saved by Masai. Masai gives Kairi to Rose, ordering her to take Kairi to a hospital.

After Rose departs from Kirinsu, Masai has a brief scuffle with Gekka. She then traps him within an illusion, giving him only 10 minutes to escape with his life! Voltaire has all of his soldiers enter all of the conquered villages and enslave the people. As the soldiers file out, Voltaire awaits the completion of Project: Demolition. With only 8 minutes, Masai struggles to figure out where the exit to the Water Tower is. Gekka manages to use her ability to manipulate water further complicate Masai's task. Masai realizes that Gekka is no average opponent, formulating a plan to escape the water tower and defeat Gekka at the same time. Ginta continues his intense training with Calypso, struggling to master a new technique.

Impressed by Masai's intelligence, Gekka increases the speed of the flood. Masai struggles to find an exit, stop the flood, and defeat Gekka at the same time. Despite this, he manages to hold his own in combat against her. When the water begins to rise above Masai, he devises a plan to defeat Gekka, and win her game. Rose searches for a hospital, hoping Kairi will live. With 4 minutes left, Masai uses his Reiki to burst out of the mist, swimming to the nearest platform. With the flood increasing, Masai observes the water tower, easily detecting the weakness within Gekka's illusion. Masai states that to win, he must summon a Spirit Beast as the key to his victory. However, it can't be his own Spirit Beast!!

Gekka turns all of Geyser Tower into a swirling whirlpool. Masai engages Gekka in combat once again, using his Reiki to maintain a constant flow of balance. With the water almost filled up, Masai pretends to drop dead, allowing Gekka to believe she had won. Meanwhile, Saharu decides to go find Laxus or Kairi, searching Sitoko to find them. He runs into a mysterious person, noticing the isolation in his eyes. Gekka prepares to release the water tower, shocked when Masai's attack cripples her. Subdued, Gekka involuntarily summons her Spirit Beast, destroying the illusion of the tower. Masai explains to Gekka that he needed to take a few hits so that he could eliminate all of her options. After Gekka faints, Masai sends all of the water to the Yebaya Ocean. When he looks up into the sky, Masai wonders if he'll ever get a decent challenge.

Saharu asks the boy what is wrong, shocked when it turns out to be Amon. Amon tells Saharu of his desire to please Voltaire, explaining his past as an orphan. Saharu tells Amon that he makes him sick, attacking him. As a result, Amon loses an arm. After Amon gains his arm back, he warns Saharu of the consequence if he should fail to cut his arm off a second time. Saharu attempts to do so, but is put down with one hit. Meanwhile, the dragon soldiers continue enslaving the people, causing Rose and Kairi to take refuge in an abandoned warehouse. Laxus arrives at Soulilette Pathway, realizing that Kai must be somewhere up ahead. When he continues on, he is attacked by the Dragon Twins. Laxus manages to easily defeat them, eventually arriving at Mystic Springs. Once there, he confronts Kai, challenging him to a fight.

Laxus calls Kai heartless for murdering and enslaving people for his own amusement. When the fight begins, Laxus uses his speed and Element to his advantage. Despite his superior speed, Laxus finds himself utterly outclassed by Kai. Laxus wonders if he has a chance at defeating Kai, tempted to give up. As Laxus continues a hopeless battle against Kai, Calypso begins training Ginta's mind, as well as unlocking the seal to his bond with Dragoon. Calypso tells Ginta more of his ancient past, telling him of the importance of his success. Shocked, Ginta wonders what chance does he have against Kai. Laxus manages to catch Kai in his attack, but freezes in fear upon realizing that Kai has only been toying with him so far...
272 "Laxus' Final Gamble: Rage of the Gods!" May 31, 2010
Laxus pushes himself to the next stage, overwhelming Kai with his massive speed. Kai struggles to keep up with Laxus, as his speed is 3x faster than his own. The Draco and Amon meet up near Soulilette Pathway, shocked that most of them have been eliminated. Draco decides to go tell Kai the news, while Amon senses a person approaching. Laxus' comeback ends abruptly when Kai enters his first stage, dominating the fight. Laxus realizes that Masai would have had a better chance at winning. With Laxus out of options, he attacks Kai with one final assault. The attack fails, due to Kai's perfect defense. Afterwards, Kai trounces Laxus ferociously. He then activates his Devil's Eye, stealing Laxus' soul!!

Ginta senses a disturbance, realizing something bad had happened. At Mystic Springs, Kai's inner hatred for his past builds up. He causes several villages to shake, flooding several villages. When Draco arrives, he confronts Kai about his relationship with Voltaire. Kai threatens to kill Draco, provoking Draco to lash out at him. Kai thrashes Draco, telling him to go back to Dragon's Den. Meanwhile, Rose manages to find Soulilette Pathway, encountering Amon. Amon questions Rose's motives, warning her to fight for her life. Amon easily overwhelms Rose, expressing his sorrow in his attacks. Rose notices Amon's depression, asking him what could be troubling him. Shocked, Amon tells Rose of his past as an orphan, as well as revealing his only reason for living.

Amon asks Rose how would she feel if she tried so hard to be of some use to the one she cares about the most, but end up only feeling trapped in the shadow of another. Amon's sadness forces him to transform, preparing to take Rose's life. Rose reveals her special abilities, managing to counter the attack. With Rose struggling for her life, she manages to use Amon's emotions to her advantage, winning the fight. When Amon retreats back to Dragon's Den, Masai arrives. Rose tells him she couldn't find a hospital, handing Kairi over to Masai, who is also carrying Saharu. Rose takes off to find Ginta, telling Masai to make sure that Saharu and Kairi get better. When Rose encounters Kai, Ginta completes his training with Calypso. He takes off, tracking down Kai's Youki. Kai uses his Devil's Eye to torture Rose. A moment later, Ginta arrives, horrified by what he sees...
275 "Showdown at Mystic Springs" June 28, 2010
Kai shows Ginta Laxus's soulless body, and his weakened mother, angering him. Calypso stops Ginta from attacking Kai, telling him to stay focused. Calypso takes care of Rose, and Laxus' body, impressed at how far Ginta's come in such a short time. Kai gives Ginta the chance to backdown, but he refuses. When the fight begins, Kai has a clear advantage, due to the environment, and the storm. Kai seemingly obliterates Ginta with a special attack. As a result, he insults Ginta for the subpar challenge. Ginta manages to make a counterattack, striking Kai to the Tower of Sanctuary. At the peak of the tower, the two trade each other blow for blow. After Kai knocks Ginta off, Ginta unleashes another counter barrage, sending Kai straight down into the water.

Ginta struggles to detect Kai's Reiki, wondering if he camouflaged with the water. Calypso tells Rose that Ginta is fighting in Kai's domain. Kai emerges from the water as a giant wave, consuming Ginta. Ginta however uses his Wind element to help him escape. Impressed, Kai tells Ginta of the origins of the Tower of Sanctuary, and Mystic Springs. Afterwards, he transforms, telling Ginta that the fight will only get tougher from this point on. When the fight continues, Ginta is getting pummeled by Kai's to no end. As Ginta struggles to fight Kai, a dark force tries to take his body over. After being launched into the water, Ginta emerges in his full transformed state. He and Kai fight evenly, clashing with the power of their elements. As a result, they destroy parts of Mystic Springs, as well as several bordering towns. Ginta then thrashes Kai, causing him to wonder how could Ginta be his superior. When Kai gets up, transforms once again, ensuring Ginta's defeat!
277 "Ultimate Secrets: Kai's Super Move!" July 12, 2010
Kai wrecks Ginta, unleashing the full extent of his water abilities. Afterwards, Kai creates a huge hurricane. Masai and Kairi look outside through a window, realizing that this fight is far crazier than they had thought. Saharu awakens, asking them to take him to their battle.  Kai unleashes his most powerful attack, destroying several villages and murdering millions of people. Unable to escape, Ginta fades into the tsunami. When the waves calm down, Ginta is nowhere to be seen. Kai smiles, knowing Ginta couldn't have escaped the wave. Calypso however tells herself that Ginta avoided the heart of the attack, but he is in critical condition. At Dragon's Den, Voltaire punishes the Dragon Riders and Dew. He tells them that once Kai finishes up his business, he will send out the Seven Swordsmen to finish everything. Meanwhile, Kai jumps back on the cliff, smiling evilly at his victory.
278 "Darkness" July 19, 2010
Kai stops smiling when he sees Ginta  limping towards him. He asks how Ginta survived his attack, shocked when Ginta destroys the cliff. Angered, Kai trounces Ginta relentlessly. Ginta is ready to give in, but remembers the reason he must win. Kai prepares to kill Ginta, but he tanks the hit, shocking Kai. Ginta walks toward Kai, no longer able to suppress his dark force. Kai punches him, but Ginta grabs his fist. Masai realizes the destruction Ginta and Kai are causing, wondering if anybody is safe. Saharu manages to convince Masai and Kairi to take him to the battlefield. Ginta reaches his breakpoint, entering another transformation! He dominates Kai, using his dark powers, as well as several different elements to assault Kai, presumably destroying him!
279 "Eternal Rivals" July 26, 2010

Rose wonders how Ginta got that powerful. Calypso states that Ginta is subconsciously isolating the possession from his heart, allowing him to keep control. When Kai reappears, he strikes Ginta at his Sacred Mark, injuring him. Angered, Ginta unleashes his newest technique on Kai's Sacred Mark, ripping through Kai's Sacred Mark. Kai suffers major damage, cursing Ginta. As a result, he summons his Spirit Beast, taking control of the fight once again. Ginta summons his Spirit Beast, leveling the playing field. Ginta and Kai savagely thrash the other, leaving the whole area in ruins. Afterwards, Ginta and Kai are on the ground, exhausted from their battle. When Ginta's friends arrive, they are shocked by Laxus' soulless body. Ginta forces himself to his feet, claiming victory. Kai's loss traps him in a frozen state of realization, shattering the resolve to his mind. As a result, Laxus' life is restored to him.

280 "The Nightmare: True Revealing Moves!" August 2, 2010
Laxus hugs Ginta, thanking him for saving him and defeating Kai. Laxus tells Ginta Kai's fate is in his hands, asking him what will he do. Ginta has Calypso heal Kai, much to everyone's shock. Calypso does so, explaining that she has been studying the five of them. Kai denies the offer, shaken from his loss, and realization of his weakness. Calypso brings up his grandfather, mentioning how he wants to be free from his control. Kai reluctantly agrees, going to the Tower of Sanctuary to reflect on his life. Calypso tells the Chi Warriors to head to Gatokage in one month. Calypso says that there's one more thing to be taken cared of. A moment later, Calypso and Ginta vanish, shocking the heroes. At Dragon's Den, Voltaire's anger erupts, preparing to unleash the Seven Swordsmen. However, Mirou tells him to worry about the people trespassing within Dragon's Den. Shocked, Voltaire has the Dragon Riders take care of the intruders!!
281 "A New Resolve: Dawn of Hope" August 9, 2010
Ginta and Calypso travel through Dragon's Den, preparing to confront Voltaire. Kai realizes where Ginta headed off to, taking off after him. Ginta and Calypso encounter the Dragon Riders, easily bypassing them. Afterwards, they confront Voltaire, who displays his massive power. When Kai arrives, he is shocked to find Ginta challenging Voltaire. Calypso tells Ginta Voltaire isn't an opponent he can take on, using her powers to trap Voltaire's mind in a trance. Calypso tells Kai the importance Ginta will have in his life, warning him not to get crossed up with Voltaire ever again. A moment later, Calypso vanishes. Ginta then departs from Dragon's Den, returning home. Once there, he begins training for one month, in preparation for his next adventure.
